  1. Mock GMs check in. If there's not enough people here to get things started, we may have to delay things.
  2. St. Louis is on the clock.
  3. Okay, I'll get this started, since I'm the Lions' mock GM: Conventional wisdom says that if you do not have a franchise QB, you don't pass on one. Well, we're going to challenge that. While Stafford has a cannon of an arm and Sanchez shows impressive skills, especially his accuracy, I don't know if either can be classified as a "franchise QB", one that you'd pass up a number of marquee talents in order to select. The Lions are not a QB away from contention, and to those that point to Matt Ryan's success of last year, I only ask: does John Abraham's career year come w/ the QB the Lions would draft? Do you also get one of the league's top rushers (2nd in league; first in conference) as well? No? Well, in that case... w/ the first overall pick in the 2009 TBD 3 Round Mock Draft, the Detroit Lions select... Jason Smith, OL from Baylor

  5. You can read 'bout it here.
  6. Okay folks, it's up and running. Just go here when it's time to make your selection.
  7. Feel free to PM me a list of players if you can't be there.
  8. Looks like we're off to a slow start here today. Any mock GMs here today?
  9. I'm setting it up now over in the Mock Drafts subforum.
  10. Now that's taking it back a bit. I remember seeing Clancy play in the Connie Hawkins Summer League years ago.
  11. Why raise ticket prices @ all? How are the idiot drunks who attend the games (and are totally oblivious to the action going on) going to afford higher ticket prices?
  12. I think there's only 7 teams not accounted for. If you want to take on another team, go ahead.
  13. This was discussed this morning on Sirius' The Opening Drive. I guess it's technically possible, but I'm not so sure it'll happen.
  14. 1. Lord loves a working man 2. Don't trust Whitey 3. See a doctor and get rid of it
  15. To waste time, I believe.
  16. Really? That's my brother's alma mater as well. Class of 1989.
  17. Leftovers
  18. The order you see is the overall draft order, NOT the first round order.
  19. Nothing good happened before 1970.
  20. I'd put Bruce and Clay Matthews @ the top of that list. One is a Hall of Famer and the other one should be.
  21. Man, that sucks. We had Comcast before we bought our home in 2001. We've had DirecTV ever since. We got it so that my wife could watch her Stillers and I could catch every Bills game (we live in the Ravens' TV market).
