  1. Oakland selects Michael Crabtree, WR from Texas Tech and Jacksonville selects B.J. Raji, DT from Boston College.
  2. Whoa! Cincy w/ the curveball. They left BJ Raji and Andre Smith on the board, eh? Wow. Still, a good pick. You could always go after a guy like Moala in Round 2 and keep the USC theme going (Rivers last year, Maualuga and Moala this year).
  3. Oakland is on the clock.
  4. Uh huh. That's what happens when you root for a team that has OL issues. Cleveland's pick is made. I know Cincy's GM is 'round here somewhere, so we'll try to get back on track here.
  5. Cleveland selects Brian Orakpo, DE/LB, Texas Cincinnati, make your pick. Since we're behind a bit, if the other teams aren't here to make their selections, we'll forge ahead.
  6. Cleveland is now on the clock.
  7. Nothing lame 'bout the best defensive talent in the entire draft. They still need a pass rusher, but I wouldn't pass up a guy like Curry for any of the down linemen in this draft.
  8. Seattle is on the clock.
  9. William is not online, but he did say yesterday that he would select Monroe for the Rams. Good; they need someone to take over for Orlando Pace. Gee, I wonder who the Chiefs will take w/ the 3rd pick.....
  10. St. Louis selects Eugene Monroe, OT from Virginia Kansas City is next, and they should be ecstatic over how the first two picks went.
  11. I made the Detroit pick yesterday, when we were to begin the first round. Detroit ins't changing their pick, so St Louis is now up. The actual draft thread has the draft order and the times the picks are slotted for. Do NOT post anything other than actual draft choices in the draft thread. All discussion and commentary should be done in this thread.

  13. No problem. If you're standing pat and drafting @ your position, your team (Miami) doesn't draft 'til tomorrow anyway.
  14. We'll be starting up the draft @ 10am this morning. Go to the Mock Drafts forum to check in @ 9am. Those who cannot be online for their picks (all picks are slotted for a particular time; check the draft thread for details), send a PM of players to choose from.
  15. 'Til the season begins, we really don't know whether a schedule is tough or not. A couple years ago, how many people thought the Saints would be any good, particularly in the aftermath of Katrina? What 'bout Atlanta last year? W/ the way free agency has changed the game, it's just far too difficult to predict how teams will fare over the course of a season. What someone did in the previous season doesn't necessarily translate to the current season, as I'm sure Miami fans would gladly attest to.
  16. Never heard of any of this stuff.
  17. Aaaaargh! I missed this; damn. Oh well; you can make me feel guilty in a couple weeks. I'm sure it was a happy one (you said so).
  18. Weeeellll.........I may have mentioned something to that effect a while back, William.
  19. Nah. W/ the Lions making the trade to grab Julian Peterson, I decided to go in another direction. They need help all over, not just @ the linebacker position.
  20. Perhaps. We'll see. I did post the schedule and time limits for the mock over on the Wall. We'll see if that makes a difference for tomorrow.
  21. Shutting it down for today. We'll start tormorrow morning @ 10:00am. Schedule: Round 1: 04/07/09, 04/08/09 Round 2: 04/09/09 Round 3: 04/10/09 Each team will have: 15 minutes to make selections or trade in Round 1 10 minutes to make selections or trade in Round 2 5 minutes to make selections or trade in Round 3 Any other questions, send me a PM.
  22. Well, looks like there aren't many of us 'round today. We'll shut it down for now. The mock should take 4 days (2 for Round 1 and a day each for Rounds 2 and 3), so we'll get things in motion no later than tomorrow morning.
  23. Thanks. I really think that the Lions would be treading water by not addressing their offensive and defensive fronts. Taking another skill player while you have glaring needs up front doesn't seem very smart to me. Yeah. Too bad decided not to show up.
