  1. I listened to Sirius' NFL channel on the way into work, and they were discussing Vincent and how he fell out of favor w/ the late Gene Upshaw. I guess they thought it would be more divisive to elect him. Who knows? Only the player reps, and from what the reporter on Sirius was saying, they're not even talking to their agents 'bout this.
  2. Maybe it's up to the individual universities? I know there's no alcohol allowed @ PENN STATE's Beaver Stadium, and the state cops and LCB guys are usually going 'round looking for underage drinkers in the lots, where you can drink 'til the game starts.
  3. Precisely the same reason I don't purchase beer when I attend Bills games.
  4. They sell beer @ college games????
  5. Also, wasn't Little a Pro Bowl/All Pro player (once) 5 years after he killed that woman?
  6. I've heard that's a pretty rough section. Too rough for me.
  7. Yeah. Usually, it is for those in the club seats, but w/ the 50th anniversary stuff going on, this year it's for all season ticket holders. I remember how crowded those things got @ the Jim Kelly Club (when it was @ the stadium) and @ Dave & Buster's when it was just for club seat owners, so it will really be interesting to see how much of a madhouse it'll be this year.
  8. Yep. That's all the '08 Bills were missing to get deep into the playoffs: Terrell Owens. When he's not catching TDs for us, he'll be wreaking havoc on QBs w/ his devastating pass rush, or crushing RBs who dare come out into the flat to catch a pass. I guess he'll use his well known QB psychology skills to get the Bills' signal caller to look down the field once again. Maybe he'll even pick up the blitz, so that a guy like Adrian Wilson won't clean the clock of our QB and further slow his development. Uh huh; one man to do the job. That's all that was needed.
  9. Ushering in the memorable period of TBD history known as the Mike Nugent Era, I'd guess.
  10. That game is definitely on my short list of road games to attend this year.
  11. Ziggy, Chase (heck, BOTH Chases!), and, of course, William Moore. That's the real dream draft, eh?
  12. Don't do it, Shanahan. It's brutal.
  13. A 3 pick draft? Time to wake up.
  14. I kinda like the one w/ the tile salesman. "Now listen here, Jerky, half of these things are broken..." "This is Frank" "Who?" "Frank Rizzo" "Who?" "Frank Rizzo! Open your ears, jacka**!"
  15. Oh, it's been worse. Much worse. The name Mike Nugent rings a bell...
  16. No it doesn't. Haven't you ever read any of the pre-draft posts here? Any team can make a trade any time they want, just like in Madden.
  17. Yeah. We're just one Pro Bowl QB away from a title... I don't know if this is anywhere near a reality, but if they trade him for pass rush help (OLB or DE), that would @ least be an attempt to fix one of the team's biggest problem areas for years. Then again, they'd probably trade Marshawn for a backup DE and an OLB coming off career threatening surgery.
  18. Burnett is a pretty decent pass rusher and could only help the Bills if he was on their radar. He would immediately be the best pass rushing LB on the team. Having said that, I'm not sure if he's even a consideration for the Bills.
  19. If there was a better crop of DEs, I'd agree w/ you guys. Most of this year's group have good pass rush skills and would be good situational players, but would be liabilities to some degree vs the run. That's why many of them have been projected to be 3-4 rush 'backers. If they plan to use the 11th pick on a Jeffcoat-like situational guy, then I suppose players like Orakpo, Maybin, and Brown (who all fit the bill as 3-4 pass rushing LBs more than they do as down linemen in a 4-3) would be in play. Then again, they could go after a guy like LSU's Tyson Jackson, who better fits the mold of a 4-3 DE. It's a bit high for him, but if they really feel he can man one of the DE spots and give the team a quality run defender as well as pass rush help (personally, I think he's a good run defender and a so-so pass rusher), then why not?
  20. A change of scenery may do both players some good. Though for Preston, going to Oakland probably isn't the type of "change of scenery" he should look into.
  21. Sigh. Okay, to set the record straight and spare us any more clever posts, Harvin played his collegiate career @ the University of Florida and not Florida State.
  22. Both the "2009 Gripes" and the "2009 Gripes of Gripes" forums are currently under construction.
  23. Gone.
