I probably should make a mad dash to the Ticketbastard site to get tickets for a practice that I'm not making a 8 hour drive up for. Why didn't I think of that?
-
Just under 12 hrs to get that one........you're getting much better.
-
I can think of nothing I'd rather do w/ my time than spend it dealing w/ the good people of Ticketbastard.

If you were somehow blessed w/ the gift of foresight and knew the Bills would have a bad season before the season even started, would you still root for them? Not saying anyone here knows what is going to happen, but I don't think they want the Bills to fail. If a person strongly believes that the team will struggle this season, I don't think that makes them a traitor. If they weren't passionate fans, even if the passion isn't all bright and cheery, they'd be more like the wine and cheese fans you see @ 49ers games. -
Right where you left it: underneath your chin.

We have the movie and the soundtrack also. I like the song when they first went to the Moulin Rouge, where they mixed the Lady Marmalade song w/ Nirvana. That was pretty cool.

There's no place for sports in a casino......except boxing, that is.

That's the spirit.

Anyone go to the Springsteen show last night?

I don't think he sucks; I'm just not a fan of his. I have heard that he has pretty long shows, around 3 hours. That's pretty nice. I always appreciate performers that give you your money's worth on stage. Don't just sing a few songs and then leave w/ our cash! That's one reason why I didn't mind accompanying my wife to 8 shows from the late Luther Vandross (just doesn't seem right to mention him that way) in past years. -
I liked both of them. Conan the Barbarian was a good movie; James Earl Jones was good in that one. Conan the Destroyer was more comical. I don't think it was supposed to be as serious as Conan, which may have irked some fans of the original. Neither are cinematic classics, but they're not a waste of time of 'The Talented Mr Ripley' proportions, either.

All you Nostradamus disciples, feel free to show the world how brilliant you are for correctly guessing-whoops, I mean forecasting-how Donahoe would hook up the Bills w/ a good draft pick by dealing Travis Henry. C'mon now, don't be shy...

(OT) I Can't Wait Until The Home Opener!!!!!

I had no idea you were trying to go to the opener. That's good news. I hope we see you there. -

Like you, I have concerns about this OL quickly becoming a dependable unit. They have new players in there (again) that will need to adjust to McNally's coaching philosophy, just as their teammates will have to adjust to their strengths/weaknesses. I go into yet another preseason being "cautiously optimistic" about the line's development. I also think the article has to be taken w/ a grain of salt, since it's coming from the team's website @ a time when fans have concerns w/ the line. Here's where my 'cautious optimism' comes in again. I'll reserve judgment until we have had ample time to see them in action.............and I'll pray that we have nothing but praise to heap on them. -
I can't recall if it was when Psycho Ward 86 and I attended the Browns @ Steelers game or if it was one of the Bills games @ RICH that I went to last year, but there was a band from around this area that played. I think they were from Milford Mill Academy, which is in the Baltimore area.
-
Point taken. They are different, but I prefer the bands like FAMU'S Marching 100 or Texas Southern's Ocean of Soul because it's not only good instrumentalists, they put on shows that far surpass anything USC or OSU does. To each his own, I suppose.
-
No doubt he'll struggle, but, as usual, I think the truth is somewhere in between "He'll be just fine; no big deal" and , "w/out Moss, he'll suck".
-
That's a pretty good summary.
-
You have a point there. Perhaps I should re-phrase that: Culpepper was missing his top option for a good part of the season, yet still played pretty well. In the games that Moss was healthy, he was outstanding. When Moss came back and was clearly still not 100%, Culpepper still performed well. Given the circumstances, I take him over the other options.
-
I'm going to try hard to make it over there this year. Maybe I'll stop by the day of the opener.
-
Moss was out for a good portion of the season while Culpepper put up MVP type numbers, let's not forget that. He'll feel the effects of Moss' departure, but to ASSume that he'll turn into an average QB is patently false. Of the options listed, Culpepper is my choice.

Welcome to the board. Your Buckeyes have some very talented players that should make things interesting this season. Ted Ginn is quite an athlete! But, I think my Penn State Nittany Lions got themselves a great one also in Derrick Williams. I'm interested to see if he can have the kind of impact for PSU that Ginn had for OSU last year. Best band? Hardly. Both OSU and USC have great bands, but if you've ever seen bands from Texas Southern, Florida A&M, or Bethune Cookman, you'd know they are far superior to either OSU or USC's band. Their teams aren't as good, but their bands are better, because in most cases, the bands are the main reason people go to their games.

Not only those 3 picks, which are just ridiculous, but also to get Vinatieri as my kicker, the Ravens' defense, Witten as my TE, and to be able to get guys like Chris Brown, Reuben Droughns, Marcus Pollard, Antwaan Randle El, Brandon Stokley, and Ben Roethlisberger as backups? Damn!
-
Yeah, I can't stand the 12 hr time limit Antsports gives you per pick, but it is a decent place to get your strategy together. Sometimes, it's just plain crazy what you can get away w/ there. For instance, here's one of my latest drafts from Antsports: (Position/Player/Team/Round, Positon Picked/Bye Week) QB Donovan McNabb PHI 2.10 6 QB Ben Roethlisberger PIT 13.01 4 RB LaDainian Tomlinson SDC 1.01 10 RB Chris Brown TEN 5.01 10 RB Fred Taylor JAC 7.01 7 RB Reuben Droughns CLE 12.10 4 WR Marvin Harrison IND 3.01 8 WR Brandon Stokley IND 8.10 8 WR Mark Clayton BAL 9.01 3 WR Braylon Edwards CLE 11.01 4 WR Keary Colbert CAR 15.01 7 WR Antwaan Randle El PIT 16.10 4 TE Jason Witten DAL 4.10 9 TE Marcus Pollard DET 14.10 3 PK Adam Vinatieri NEP 10.10 7 DT Baltimore Ravens BAL 6.10 3 Man, would I love to be in a league w/ people who let me get away w/ this!

Not this year. I thought about going to the Bills @ Bears preseason game, but I just couldn't afford to do that plus all of the other trips I have planned for this fall/winter.

Is that kid still in the commercials? I thought he was dumped and that they just had that voice in the commercials now.
