  1. There's still 4 of last year's league members who haven't sent me their email address and the name of their team. We're trying to get it all set up so that we can have our draft some time next month, probably toward the end of August, if possible.
  2. I think that if Chad Brown can overcome the nagging injuries he's had, he could be a great pickup for New England. Age is a factor for a LB unit in a 3-4, only from the standpoint of the unit's athleticism. What will probably get the Pats over that is the solid veteran play of guys like McGinest and Vrabel, which will carry over to the entire defense.
  3. The fire makes for good atmosphere, evil twin.
  4. 'Sup evil twin!
  5. Considering they play a lot of 3-4 on defense (as I did in college), it's a bit naive to try to write off the age of the LB unit. Do I think their defense will all of a sudden fall in the rankings? Not @ all. But, a team that plays a 3-4 needs to have a solid core of playmaking LBs in order to make it work, especially the way the Pats play it.
  6. Did he hurt yours? He's just as convinced in his prediction as you are in the ability of your team to overcome whatever losses they suffered this offseason. Live and let live, folks.
  7. Edwards has said the focus of their offense will remain the running game, and I feel Martin's skills as a receiver as well as a running back will not be ignored, despite what Heimerdinger says. Martin will be the key to their offensive success this year, I believe.
  8. Or, as the locals here say it, you're scurred.
  9. Too bad you won't show up to the tailgate.
  10. I probably should make a mad dash to the Ticketbastard site to get tickets for a practice that I'm not making a 8 hour drive up for. Why didn't I think of that?
  11. Just under 12 hrs to get that one........you're getting much better.
  12. I can think of nothing I'd rather do w/ my time than spend it dealing w/ the good people of Ticketbastard.
  13. If you were somehow blessed w/ the gift of foresight and knew the Bills would have a bad season before the season even started, would you still root for them? Not saying anyone here knows what is going to happen, but I don't think they want the Bills to fail. If a person strongly believes that the team will struggle this season, I don't think that makes them a traitor. If they weren't passionate fans, even if the passion isn't all bright and cheery, they'd be more like the wine and cheese fans you see @ 49ers games.
  14. Right where you left it: underneath your chin.
  15. We have the movie and the soundtrack also. I like the song when they first went to the Moulin Rouge, where they mixed the Lady Marmalade song w/ Nirvana. That was pretty cool.
  16. There's no place for sports in a casino......except boxing, that is.
  17. That's the spirit.
  18. I don't think he sucks; I'm just not a fan of his. I have heard that he has pretty long shows, around 3 hours. That's pretty nice. I always appreciate performers that give you your money's worth on stage. Don't just sing a few songs and then leave w/ our cash! That's one reason why I didn't mind accompanying my wife to 8 shows from the late Luther Vandross (just doesn't seem right to mention him that way) in past years.
  19. I liked both of them. Conan the Barbarian was a good movie; James Earl Jones was good in that one. Conan the Destroyer was more comical. I don't think it was supposed to be as serious as Conan, which may have irked some fans of the original. Neither are cinematic classics, but they're not a waste of time of 'The Talented Mr Ripley' proportions, either.
  20. All you Nostradamus disciples, feel free to show the world how brilliant you are for correctly guessing-whoops, I mean forecasting-how Donahoe would hook up the Bills w/ a good draft pick by dealing Travis Henry. C'mon now, don't be shy...
  21. I had no idea you were trying to go to the opener. That's good news. I hope we see you there.
  22. Like you, I have concerns about this OL quickly becoming a dependable unit. They have new players in there (again) that will need to adjust to McNally's coaching philosophy, just as their teammates will have to adjust to their strengths/weaknesses. I go into yet another preseason being "cautiously optimistic" about the line's development. I also think the article has to be taken w/ a grain of salt, since it's coming from the team's website @ a time when fans have concerns w/ the line. Here's where my 'cautious optimism' comes in again. I'll reserve judgment until we have had ample time to see them in action.............and I'll pray that we have nothing but praise to heap on them.
  23. I can't recall if it was when Psycho Ward 86 and I attended the Browns @ Steelers game or if it was one of the Bills games @ RICH that I went to last year, but there was a band from around this area that played. I think they were from Milford Mill Academy, which is in the Baltimore area.
  24. Point taken. They are different, but I prefer the bands like FAMU'S Marching 100 or Texas Southern's Ocean of Soul because it's not only good instrumentalists, they put on shows that far surpass anything USC or OSU does. To each his own, I suppose.
