  1. Thanks for updating me. I didn't realize Griese and Csonka were in the Hall. I also heard a rumor that Warfield is there as well, but I just can't see that being true. Sorry your respect for me has fallen so low. It probably shouldn't have been higher than that in the first place, as I know nothing about the game. I never use sarcasm well, especially over the internet. Man, I'm really sorry.
  2. He should be preparing to go to Owings Mills for camp soon.
  3. While Big Russ is the first person I'd put on my all-time starting 5 (along w/ Magic, Jordan, Bird, and Dr. J), I wouldn't mention him w/ the 10 athletes I stated earlier. Chamberlain was the only basketball player I put down, just because he was an incredible athlete as well as a great basketball player. Russ was a legendary basketball player and the greatest winner of all time (11 titles in 13 seasons; not ever Jordan can top that!), he isn't as great an athlete as Wilt.
  4. Tough call. Here's a few names I'd put out there for consideration: Wilt Chamberlain Bob Mathias Jim Thorpe Babe Didrickson-Zaharias Muhammad Ali Jim Brown Jesse Owens Carl Lewis Lance Armstrong Jackie Joyner-Kersee
  5. Yeah, but those guys sucked. None of them ever won anything, nor did they make the pro football Hall of Fame.
  6. I don't know for sure, but I'd guess MarkyMannn's response is correct. My tickets arrived Friday, but were deposited in the mail slot, so they were there when I got home. I'm sure if the package couldn't be put in the mail slot, I would've had to go pick them up @ the post office also. Where's your seats? Mine are in Section 123, Row 11, Seats 4&5.
  7. Not bad @ all. I like the Cadillac Williams pick. In some mock drafts I've participated in (on Antsports.com), I've taken him almost every time. Another rookie I'll be targeting is WR Mark Clayton of Baltimore. Receivers look very strong also; Coles could surprise some people this year. Your QBs are effective, and Collins can only be helped by the arrival of Randy Moss (nice QB-WR tandem you have; maybe they'll hook you up w/ double points often). I probably would've gone after Trent Green before Bulger, but maybe he was already taken by that time. Good defenses; the Falcons should be better w/ a year in Mora's system, so that bodes well for you.
  8. Soon, good people. Soon.
  9. So there's no dispute, here's the levels: Poster Not To Be Judged: 5,865 or below Post Whores (fair game to be judged): Beyond 5,865 Enjoy.
  10. I moved our keeper league to Fanball this year, so I guess I'll find out how good or bad it is too. It was recommended by a couple of people and it does give you more control over the setup of your league, so that's a good thing.
  11. Best wishes for a lightning quick recovery!
  12. Yes!! Just 7 weeks from now, I'll be driving up to Rochester to meet the gang @ Nick Tahou's!!
  13. I'm still interested in making a trade; any takers?
  14. There's still 4 of last year's league members who haven't sent me their email address and the name of their team. We're trying to get it all set up so that we can have our draft some time next month, probably toward the end of August, if possible.
  15. I think that if Chad Brown can overcome the nagging injuries he's had, he could be a great pickup for New England. Age is a factor for a LB unit in a 3-4, only from the standpoint of the unit's athleticism. What will probably get the Pats over that is the solid veteran play of guys like McGinest and Vrabel, which will carry over to the entire defense.
  16. The fire makes for good atmosphere, evil twin.
  17. 'Sup evil twin!
  18. Considering they play a lot of 3-4 on defense (as I did in college), it's a bit naive to try to write off the age of the LB unit. Do I think their defense will all of a sudden fall in the rankings? Not @ all. But, a team that plays a 3-4 needs to have a solid core of playmaking LBs in order to make it work, especially the way the Pats play it.
  19. Did he hurt yours? He's just as convinced in his prediction as you are in the ability of your team to overcome whatever losses they suffered this offseason. Live and let live, folks.
  20. Edwards has said the focus of their offense will remain the running game, and I feel Martin's skills as a receiver as well as a running back will not be ignored, despite what Heimerdinger says. Martin will be the key to their offensive success this year, I believe.
  21. Or, as the locals here say it, you're scurred.
  22. Too bad you won't show up to the tailgate.
  23. I probably should make a mad dash to the Ticketbastard site to get tickets for a practice that I'm not making a 8 hour drive up for. Why didn't I think of that?
