  1. It's not that simple, Kelly and you know that. Considering how teams disguise their coverages all the time, one can see single on the outside pre-snap, but that's not the case, actually. That, plus the hybrid safeties (converted LBs like Michael Boulware in Seattle) that have become all the rage now also make it diffucult to just line up multiple WRs and think you can just beat a defense w/ it.
  2. Phins or Jets? I'm going to the Jets game, so if you go to that one, I'll see you there. That'll make up for the fact that we didn't get a chance to meet when I was out in AZ last year.
  3. I was watching that this morning before I went to work. I tivo'd the rest of it, so I'll try to catch all of it tonight. Parrish didn't look very impressive in what I saw. My main concern is w/ him being able to get a clean release off the line of scrimmage. I just don't know how he'll fare if he can't do that, especially considering that he's only 168lbs. He'll have to use a lot of motion, and even that isn't a guarantee that he'll be able to get off the line clean. Remember when we were using Winfield to cover the slot? Other teams experiment w/ that also in certain circumstances.
  4. It should be a blast. I'm really looking forward to this trip.
  5. I'm glad you're okay. She didn't call me back Saturday night, but I'm sure she and my niece made it out fine today.
  6. I just spoke to my Mother a few minutes ago. She's in Clearwater visiting her granddaughter and her kids. They were in a Wal-Mart and, all of a sudden, the lights went out in the store. She said the rain was coming down hard and that it was sideways.
  7. Man, I'll bet there'll be a lot of people who will miss track and field in the Olympics.
  8. There's another one that will be opening soon: the "TBD" league that KzooMike set up last year.
  9. The 4th pick is probably not high enough to get Ferguson.
  10. Great idea! He bounced back well from the shoulder injury he suffered @ the end of the 2003 season, and his '04 stats indicate that.
  11. Bruce Banner and Bill Bixby (RIP), but who's keeping track?
  12. I guess they have to have someone w/ some insight. It's the same way that you have 'experts' on fantasy sports that go on TV and radio shows and give their 'expert' advice.
  13. Yeah, right. Posting something like that will get the child-like opposite reaction. You should know that.
  14. I'm rooting even harder for her to be a well adjusted young woman.
  15. Time keeps on slippin', slippin'......
  16. I do it because I am very into the NFL draft. Aside from the season, it's the best thing out there.
  17. Yep. Williams is great near the line of scrimmage, like Carolina's first round pick Thomas Davis, but struggles in any type of coverage. Reed is a fantastic playmaker and can be counted on in run support also. And, to think: he wanted to be drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers. What if they did land Reed and later added Polamalu? Wow.
  18. I don't think Peerless is a bad player, but people had to realize that, like Harper, he greatly benefitted from playing opposite a Pro Bowl wideout. To think he would just seamlessly make the transition to being THE receiver on a team was premature. Obviously.
  19. You mean Alvin Price, don't you? Or, is it Peerless Harper?
  20. That makes more sense. It's funny how Jones has actually become a pretty damn good LT, because people were blasting the Bengals for taking him so high in the draft, saying they wasted another high first rounder. Shows what the 'experts' know.
  21. Above McKinnie and Jones? Which Jones is that? I hope it's not Walter. That would be ridiculous. Unless your last name is Ogden and you start @ LT for the Ravens, you shouldn't be rated ahead of Walter Jones.
  22. 'Worth' is a relative term. I don't believe you can say there's a dollar amount a player is precisely worth. Take, for instance, Jonas Jennings. Would you think he'd get a deal worth more than $40 million? I certainly didn't, but someone was willing to pony up, and everything fell into place for JJ (players like Jones and Pace were tagged, there was a weak pool of OTs in this year's draft, and the free agency market wasn't a whole lot better). Would I like to see Clements brought back? Of course, but I'm sure it will probably take a whole lot more than $6 million to make that happen. As for Moulds, I think if he won't restructure his contract that they should explore options of trading him. His play is not @ the level that the Bills should mortgage their future to pay him.
