  1. I hope for Byron's sake that he plays a lot better in reality than he has in my GM simulated league. In 2 preseason games, he had about 345 yds, 1 TD and 5 INTs. In the season opener (a 27-13 loss), he had 184 yds, 0 TDs, and 4 INTs. Ugh! Game 2 is scheduled to be simulated today. I can only pray for a reduction in turnovers from Mr Leftwich. Go to the backup, you say? I would, but my backup QB is Jake (20 INTs last year) Plummer.
  2. My guess is that the NYers are sick of tax increases, no matter what the reason they give for them.
  3. Yay us!! Here's my answers (for what little it's worth): Most Respected: Can't narrow it down to one: Simon, Lori, Badolbilz, FFS, SDS, Bob Lamb, Rockpile, #89, BiB (and/or his ghost), Harvey (Albany, NY), and a few others I'm sure I forgot. Most likely to become president: KRC (I got your back, Kenneth.) Most Conservative: Too many to single out just one. Most Liberal: See above response. 4. If any of you saw the NFL's skills competition during the Pro Bowl week, then you'd know why Johnson is so highly rated. They had a drill where the WRs had to go in a circle catching passes thrown to them, and Johnson caught nearly everything thrown in his way. Amazing!
  5. Athlon isn't great, but I think it's better than Street & Smith's or Sporting News. Lindy's is pretty good; other than Steele's, it's the one I like the most. What did you think of Steele's?
  6. It sure is, Mark. As I mentioned before, last year was my first getting Steele's mag, but it certainly won't be the last. It's a must have for college football junkies like myself. Actually, I now have 9 mags for both college and pro: Athlon college Athlon pro PFW Street & Smith's pro Lindy's college Lindy's pro Steele's college Sporting News college Sporting News pro Although I haven't received it yet, I did send away for the free Steele's pro guide (I didn't do this last year; wish I had). I still want to pick up the Street & Smith's college guide also.
  7. These guys suck. Like Rod Woodson.
  8. He gave his opinion on Losman, saying he thought JP would struggle in his first year as the starter? Then, he tried to get Dunta Robinson to say he was going to pick off a couple of passes in the season opener? That bastard. We should kill him now. Get it straight, Woodson and all others 'experts'........your opinion on the Bills is that we're going to the Super Bowl. That's right; 19-0, baby! That's the only opinion you're allowed to have. What gives you the right to pass judgment on a quarterback anyway, huh?
  9. Sad news. My wife is really broken up about this, as Luther is her favorite artist. She first heard about it in her car on the way home from work tonight. She cried her way home. Luther was a great artist, one I've had the pleasure of seeing in concert 8 times, including once in Buffalo. He will be missed.
  10. Since about 1933.
  11. It's a remake of the '33 classic, the film that inspired Peter Jackson (director of the remake) to become a director. He's been wanting to do this movie for a long time, and I, for one, cannot wait until December 16th, the day it's released.
  12. Well, I haven't heard much of a response from the usual cast of characters, so I guess I should scrap this year's tailgate. I will be in Harrisburg that Friday, but I'll be back that evening and ready to tailgate Saturday (July 16th) if there's still enough interest. We can just meet @ the Inner Harbor and hang out for the day, then end up w/ a night @ the Improv. Sunday, we'll have breakfast before everyone departs. So, is there anyone who still wants to tailgate that weekend?
  13. Like I said before, I go for the top scorers, regardless of position. It worked well for me last year (1st in reg season; lost in title game in playoffs), so I'll stick w/ it.
  14. Sounds like the buffet would be easier on their staff, but either way, we're good.
  15. I really liked Batman Begins. The cast was very good, as was the writing (much better than the last putrid effort) and direction (same).
  16. They will be tough, that's for sure. They've done a good job of getting defensive depth in their last couple of recruiting classes, and are now working on putting together a solid offense.
  17. They'll be tough to beat this year. Still, if Penn State can get some offensive continuity, they'll be a factor. Their defense will be very tough this year, especially the secondary. I've heard nothing but good things about how Derrick Williams has looked in practices, so I hope he'll give the Lions some offensive firepower.
  18. Which one? The 10/09 game is no good as it's in between trips for me (Psycho Ward 86 and I are going to New Orleans the week before; I'm going up to RICH for the Jets game the week after) and I have plans already for the December 4th weekend. Maybe next year I'll go to a Bills-Miami game. I haven't gone to one since the '96 season.
  19. Cheese is @ Wegmans; ascots you can find @ the mall; the other can be found on the Stadium Wall.
  20. Hey Nick, I'm in my 2nd year in Section 123 (endzone/tunnel side), Row 11, Seats 4-5. Maybe I'll catch you @ a game this year.
  21. Sounds just like a day on the Stadium Wall.
  22. Well, if my fellow CNJBBBs will be there, how can I not show up? See ya @ the opener AND on December 17th.
  23. That's mucus you feel oozing, not hate.
