  1. Exactly, AKC. Edwards was playing way too high yesterday. I saw one play where he got blocked and because of how he couldn't keep his pad level down, he turned sideways as Cadillac zoomed right past him. He needs to get low if he's going to stop anyone from running inside on the Bills.
  2. Yes I can.
  3. Yeah. What in the heck was Buddy Mularky thinking? Now, if Mike Mularkey would've made that decision...
  4. That reminds me: I need to call my attorney.
  5. No rumblings; just grumblings over Boller. Billick has gone on record as saying Boller is his QB, and Wright has done nothing to start an argument to the contrary.
  6. Brooks got traded from the Saints to the Packers???? Also, where's Shanny on your list?
  7. There's no reason to worry; it's only one game! One game where we again showed our inability to beat a good team. We're done. This season is over. Actually, we'll bounce back. JP will have a better showing next week, and our defense will show everyone that the Bucs game was a freak occurrance. But we still can't beat good teams, and we're doomed.
  8. Beautiful, ain't it?
  9. I wonder if they bought gas 'only if they needed it'?
  10. Nobody is to blame. Just pretend it didn't happen.
  11. And I'm sure Kiffin thought the Bills might double Rice, too. It's like Howie Long once said, "as long as I hear (one of my teammates' names) on the tackle, I feel like I've done my job." Because of the fact that our safety valve receiver, especially on hot routes (the TE) was in blocking most of the time, JP's options in the face of a pass rush were limited.
  12. You're right, Joe. What would possibly make me think NE's defense is any good. No joke w/ Denver. Their front seven is all about speed, something Losman will have to get a better handle on after watching yesterday's game. Well, Cincy did keep the opponent to a mere 77 yards rushing, forced 2 fumbles, and had 5 INTs. Then again, it was the Vikings, right?
  13. On the few occasions they did run outside, the OL looked very slow to get to their blocks. I saw a couple of plays where the pursuing LB would just run inside of Gandy to either string the play out to the pursuit or to make the tackle. And, in the 'What Was I Thinking?' department, I said last week that Big Bennie and Gandy would be better suited in a drive blocking scheme. I saw both guys get manhandled and bull rushed on a few occasions. Once, I saw McFarland practically toss Bennie backwards to get a shot on Losman. Ugh! Better luck next week, guys.
  14. After 2 weeks, here's the teams that have looked pretty good defensively that Losman and company will face: Atlanta Miami (twice) New England (twice) Kansas City Carolina Denver Cincinnati Thank goodness Losman has the advantage of being @ home for 6 of those games. Now, are any of those teams legendary defenses? Probably not, but based on what I've seen from the Bills, all can pose big problems for our offense.
  15. I watched the Virginia @ Syracuse game (wanted to get some tape on Caviliers LT D'Brickashaw Ferguson). That was something. Syracuse showed a lot of heart in coming back to nearly pull off the upset. Virginia made a nice clutch drive @ the end, including a very gutsy fourth and short call by head coach Al Groh that they successfully converted. I thought both teams played their hearts out. I would've loved to see that one head into overtime. Speaking of overtime, the Michigan State @ Notre Dame game was also impressive, for many of the same reasons. Notre Dame was down early and counted out (I saw some of the posts over on the Wall about it). Brady Quinn had a monster game for the Irish! This kid seems tailor made for Charlie Weis. They're not going to win a national championship this year (calm down, Irish fans), but they are NOT the same old Irish from the Bob Davie or Ty Willingham era. Their defense looks solid, so they'll come back strong.
  16. Whoa, Lori. Kiwanuka is very tough, heck he would've been a top 10 pick LAST YEAR had he come out early, but there's a bunch of guys I could see being taken first. For the Bills (God forbid we have the #1 pick), I'd love to see us end up w/ D'Brickashaw Ferguson or Marcus McNeil, two outstanding offensive tackles. We could probably even trade down a few spots and get either player. For just about everyone else, they'd be hard pressed to pass on Leinart (looks to be a special QB) or Reggie Bush, the true MVP of the Trojans.
  17. You make some good points. I would, however, stress that maybe everyone should relax the "greatest defense ever" talk @ this point. I do think we have one very tough D, but let's let the season play out before anointing these guys the next '85 Bears or '00 Ravens.
  18. Actually, w/ the current status of the salary-cap era NFL, you can never be sure. Some team whose defense looked poor last season (Indianapolis, for instance) just may make the correct moves to get over the hump and become a much better unit.
  19. You shouldn't hate, jester.
  20. The DL in question was Corey Williams. He was moving pretty big for a big guy. Even more impressive was Braylon Edwards' TD catch earlier in the game.
  21. I think he was commenting on the quality of our wins.
  22. You shouldn't hate. See you next week.
  23. ....and now it's done, after an unsuccessful onside kick by the Packers.
  24. The live performance is so much better than watching the All Breast Channel.
