  1. He was playing that long when he was SI's cover boy and the media darling of everyone. Considering how he came into this year as one of the highest profile players in the nation, I'm sure he knew he was going to play a lot of minutes. He handled it well. The guy's a class act as well as a great college player. Unfortunately, I think he'll be another Duke player to play very well in college and his career won't translate as well in the pros. I don't wish for that even though I'm a Heels fan because the guy is such a class act, but I just get the feeling that he'll be ordinary @ the NBA level.
  2. There is a rumor going around that they may have a free agency signing period before the draft. I'm still checking that out.
  3. Oh, you mean there is free agency to consider as well? Imagine that.
  4. Green re-signs? Well, there goes the market for injury-ridden fumblers.
  5. Well, we could always take the best tackle in the draft w/ our first round pick. I'm sure Ferguson will still be there. If not, there's plenty of other LTs worthy of the 8th overall pick in the draft, for sure.
  6. I hear ya. I'm sure Ferguson will be gone by the 8th pick, as will be Mario Williams and AJ Hawk.
  7. Yeah, I was sad too @ how the Heels spoiled Redick's last game @ Cameron. Real tear jerker. Redick will make a real good coach for the Blue Devils.
  8. Moreover, shouldn't players also ASSume some of the debt like the owners do? And, maybe the players can throw in their appearance fees into the kitty also, since they want to discuss ALL sources of revenue.
  9. Maybe Miami's decision to hire one of our ex coaches as a coordinator will be as laughable as the last time one of our ex coaches got hired to coordinate for someone.
  10. Et tu, Chuck Lester? But I can hold a candle to them...
  11. Great rundown, Mark. I saw the trailer for "Inside Man" back in December when I took my wife to see "Rent". I think it looks like a good one.
  12. Taste too much like regular Heineken, did it?
  13. I got the impression that the Brownies wanted to "blow it all up" w/ ownership's blessing. Considering how involved Ralph Wilson is in personnel matters involving these players (see Eric Moulds), I don't know if the Bills would do anything similar. We can dream though.
  14. Vince Young, if he falls a bit in the draft, may make a few teams sorry they passed on him.
  15. Me too. Then again, if we are going to move to a cover 2 scheme, they may want to take a run @ a smaller, quicker DT. I think Kemoeatu could help us out a lot in terms of run defense, though.
  16. You're confusing rule w/ drool.
  17. I think it's just coincidence. I don't think any of these guys are on the juice.
  18. This CD is chock full of songs I like: "Look @ Little Sister" (on right now) "Tin Pan Alley" "Cold Shot" "Honey Bee" "The Things (That) I Used To Do" I like all of those songs.
  19. And, how often is it that we see 3 people in their 80s pass away w/in days of each other? [bTW, nice username/avatar. I'm listening to "Voodoo Chile/Slight Return" now from "Couldn't Stand The Weather"]
  20. Nice avatar, Steven.
  21. Reading over the 3rd round selections in that mock, the only guys I'd even consider would be Charles Spencer of Pittsburgh or Taitusi Lutui of USC. Spencer has some decent footwork and could possibly play LT in the pros, but I think he'll do better playing inside @ guard. He also wasn't very impressive @ the Senior Bowl. Given the layout of that round, there's no way I'd consider him over Byrd. Now Lutui may be another story. It would be tough to pass on him in favor of Byrd.
