He'd spend half the game arguing w/ his backs and receivers. -
Marv loves players like TO.

Over the past few years, I've gotten so tired of everyone overusing the P word: plays. "We didn't make enough plays" has become so generic now. It seems like there's a new buzz word going around in NFL circles these days: respect. If we're to believe the quotes we get from players and coaches, nobody in the league gets any respect. As the late Nancy Marchand's character Livia Soprano would say, "Oh, poor you!" Get over it! You people are in the pros, for crying out loud! Stop your whining about how nobody loves you.

As a coordinator he's not bad. As a head coach? No way. -
Again, here's a guy who has the championship experience that can lead the Bills to a title. After all, he did pretty well against us in two Super Bowl appearances, one of which he was named MVP. Marv could make him a nice offer that would be better than what Fox Sports pays him, I'm sure.

Nobody knows for sure, since you never know what people are going to do in the first round, especially near the top of the round. That said, I believe it's doubtful that Super Mario will be there when the 8th pick comes up. -

Rodrique Wright? Nooooooo!!!! We need a 2 gap run stuffer, not another interior pass rusher who won't hold up against the run. He seems to be more of a 3 technique rather than a pure 1 gap or 2 gap. I'd rather see Gabe Watson here than Wright. He's the Wrong fit. -
There's the problem.

I'm sure he still has plenty left in the ol' arm. Let's make him an offer to come back and lead the Bills. He's got plenty of experience, and has won the big game.

Good year for you, huh? Your 'Horns win the national title (even though they lose Vince, like everyone knew they would), you win the TBD2 title, and, perhaps most important, you get to meet R. Rich!

Results of R. Rich's Buffalo Bills Keeper League
R. Rich replied to R. Rich's topic in Fantasy Football
I was going to post a message about the keepers, Tony. I was considering expanding it from 3 to 5 or 6 keepers. What do you think? I didn't know Nutcrackers was out. I'll try to catch up w/ them to get the true story. -
Agreed. I wonder if they would've won even if Palmer had not been injured, w/ bad play calling like that. They looked like a team w/ zero playoff experience out there. Game effort by the Bengals though (unlike the listless NY Giants), and this loss should inspire them to step it up for next season.

Let's trade our 8th overall selection, Willis McGahee, Lee Evans, Aaron Schobel, and Brian Moorman to Indy for Manning and their first round pick.

I know that I like to speak for myself, and I'm sure NFL players do as well. I don't buy that Ben is "speaking for his team" any more than I believe that Ryan Leaf's tantrums were his way of "speaking for" the San Diego Chargers when he was w/ them. By complaining about a perceived slight by the officials, a QB can show his immaturity. By the same token, an opposing coach bringing it up in a press conference is no less immature. Just as Big Ben probably should've kept quiet about Odell Thurman, Marvin Lewis should've taken the high road in regard to that situation. Neither guy is more right; both were just being infantile.

It will make a triumphant return, after last year's event got stalled. This time, I'm going to get to work on putting this together earlier. Sadly, we will have to come up w/ a new special event, as the Baltimore Improv is closed. I am looking into another comedy club which is also near the Inner Harbor. Any suggestions for other activities will be appreciated. I will try to keep you all posted as I go.

Very sad. There is no right or wrong there. It's just plain sad for anyone to whine about on the field stuff in the media, whether it's a Steelers player or a Bengals head coach. Either way, it's childish. Oh, and when did a few comments represent an entire team? Maybe I heard them wrong, and Ben prefaced his remarks by saying, "On behalf of the entire Steelers organizaton..."

I hear ya.

Not @ all. The Post-Gazette has very good coverage not only of the NFL, but also collegiate and high school football. They have a pretty good rep, from what my brother (a reporter w/ 16 years experience) tells me. He also says the Buffalo News has a pretty bad rep, sad to say.
