  1. Some decent choices, but I'd much rather see us end up w/ Buster Davis as a LB prospect than either Posluszny or Willis. Then again, I'd rather see us end up w/ Baker than any of those LBs. If Baker is there, I'd be happy to see the Bills end up w/ him.
  2. Cool; another Rick Rude fan. I was in attendance for Wrestlemania 5 in Atlantic City, when Rude beat the Ultimate Warrior (thanks to Bobby Heenan) for the Intercontinental title. Those were the days; back when pro wrestling was a lot of fun before McMahon turned it into bargain basement porn w/ a side order of has beens and subpar losers elevated to 'superstar' status. John Cena????
  3. Thoughts... Your team is playing w/ confidence now. We aren't. Mario Williams is getting better pressure on QBs lately. The guy looks pretty tough. The fact that he's playing through what has to be some serious pain is impressive. DeMeco Ryans is a monster! I expect to see him all over the field Sunday. Andre Johnson is having a stellar year. He could rip up our secondary the way Roy Williams did when we lost to Detroit. Too bad Charles Spencer got hurt. He was looking like a pretty good left tackle. I was surprised, as I thought he was a more natural fit @ guard. Hopefully, he'll rebound. Maybe Lundy will turn out the be the back the Texans need. Maybe not. I hope the Bills win this one. I don't go into games expecting them to win; too much heartbreak results when you do.
  4. If you have an award that is supposed to go to "the best player in college football", then linemen should get consideration too, especially if they're as good as Pace, whose play created the "pancake block" statistic they now use in college and the pros to measure linemen. The guy was, in my opinion, clearly the best player in college football, which is how he ended up being the top overall pick in the draft that year.
  5. Ah yes, Orlando Pace. The St Louis Rams didn't make the same mistake the Downtown Clown Club made: they knew he was the best player in college football and made him the top pick in the draft. I'll bet they regret that move.
  6. The Bills have great linebackers? Really? Fletch is having a solid year, and Crowell is coming off a standout GAME, but I wouldn't call the 2006 effort of this LB corp "great" by any means. Spikes has been virtually invisible this year, a sign that maybe he isn't fully healed from the Achilles injury. Crowell spent most of the season making tackles for 7-10 yard gains and there's no depth, requiring the team to start a rookie for a good portion of the year.
  7. Players of Lee's caliber should know to run their routes beyond yard markers and fight for tough yards as well. I like Evans a lot, but I think even considering all the good things he's shown (great deep threat, excellent hands and body control), he still must master the "little things" about the WR position before he can be of the caliber of guys like Holt, Harrison, Smith, Owens, and Moss. I just hope he doesn't master these things on another team's roster.
  8. Yeah, he's been that bad this year. I don't believe he's a bad player, but he is struggling this year, and it could cost him big bucks on draft day. Brown was a lock for a top 10 pick going into his senior year. Now, I'm not so sure.
  9. You said it, and, unfortunately, it ain't gonna get any better. Of the Rivals 100 OL prospects, Penn State has gotten a grand total of zero committments so far (actually, they've gotten zero Rivals 100 recruits of ANY position) and is on the short list of just one of them..........and they're the last team on that particular list. Guess that means we have to pray that they coach up these young guys, since we're not getting any infusion of talent for the O line via recruiting.
  10. As much as it pains me to say this, as I am a Penn State fan, Levi is NOT having a solid senior season. The entire OL, including Brown, stinks this year.
  11. Not nearly as much as Spikes has this season.
  12. Yep, after he snapped it to the holder, also named Losman.
  13. Hahaha!!! I don't know if McNally should be fired just yet, but isn't it time we hold him accoutable for the state of our line instead of making excuses for him? We have 2 capable starters? Peters is decent, though if I'm to believe what's said of him, he's a Pro Bowl tackle. Uh, not yet. Anyway, after him, I'd be hard pressed to find a decent starter from our current group.
  14. I can't say I'm sold on Fowler, who I thought was a good acquisition when we got him. I pointed to how well he played in relief of All Pro C Matt Birk in Minnesota @ the time. But this year, I've seen him botch shotgun snaps, blow line calls, show poor footwork, and no strength @ the point of attack. Maybe he's just having a bad year, or maybe he just isn't what I though he'd be for the Bills. I just don't know.
  15. They lost to the Jets, and Belichick barely acknowledged Mangini after the game. Add it all up, and you get the obvious conclusion: Belichick sucks.
  16. I think GuessWhosBack was trying to refute this statement you made: I think having Tomlinson was obviously a huge plus for Rivers, but you can't discount the way he helped lead them to the win w/ his passing ability. Did he do it by himself? No, but neither did Tomlinson.
  17. Good call there. Monsoon was the Mike Patrick or Kevin Harlan of the WWF. He'd make someone lacing up their boots sound like it was the most exciting thing ever.
  18. Kingsbury would probably have about 3,500 yards and 20 TDs by now behind this line. Probably rush for another 4 or 5 scores, too.
  19. Just as stellar as those Ravens' offenses have been under that offensive guru Billick.
  20. Yeah, w/ any luck, we'll morph into the new Cincinnati Bengals, a team w/ great balance between offense and defense. That Marvin Billick is a heck of a coach for them.
  21. I do like Thomas' straightforward running style. Not much lateral movement there, and maybe that helps in terms of gutting out some tough yards @ times.
  22. Polarize the fans by having them take sides? I like that. We should try that w/ the QB position...
  23. Not only do I work on Black Friday (easiest day of the work year; why ask for it off?), but my wife has worked retail on Black Friday ever since we met.........nearly 20 years ago.
