Josh Allen in concussion protocol: Update cleared 10/5
K-9 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Allen isn’t “allowed” to have a bad game, there is no hope for him or this fan base. NEWSFLASH: Josh Allen will have other bad games. Some around here may want to brace themselves. -

Josh Allen in concussion protocol: Update cleared 10/5

Yep. The sooner he’s able to wash the bad taste of the Pats*** game, the better. Plus, he beat the Titans with a game winning drive last year as well. He’s familiar with them. -

That video shows exactly what I meant. And I’ll give Daboll credit as well. I liked the quicker tempo with Allen getting us to the LOS with a lot of time to survey his pre-snap reads. I’d like to see more of that moving forward. Seems we are constantly in too much of hurry with the checks and snapping the ball barely in time. -

9 points. May not seem like much, but when our offense scored 10, it’s significant. -

Well, as bad a day as Allen had, it wasn’t the ultimate difference in the game. It was a shame he didn’t have an opportunity to finish the game because his 4th quarter stats this year are among the best in the league. Also, as much as I dislike his decision making on those INTs and the sacks he took, I’m more concerned about his not taking what the D was giving him. Part of that is on Daboll, but it’s mostly on Allen. If there is a glimmer of a silver lining in that regard, he came out in the second half and started doing exactly that. -
Oh ffs, that wasn’t a comparison between Allen and Brady; it was a comparison between Daboll and McDaniels. Perhaps you need a tap on the helmet as well?

Mariota very effective vs Blitz, what's the D´s Game Plan?
K-9 replied to Antonio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We are not a blitzing team. We play coverage and try to disguise and confuse while doing so. I doubt McFrazier will deviate from that formula very much other than a few wrinkles here and there.- 81 replies

Dr. Chandler#81’s concussion observations

“Lady Gaga! Lady Gaga!” -
Fortunately, he’s also demonstrated good decision making as well.

Do you honestly think that it took a tap on the helmet by Daboll for people to get the impression that Allen doesn’t think well in a game? Really? As though Allen’s own performance at times on the field doesn’t make that plainly obvious to anyone watching?

No panic here. They were temporarily assigned to the A so that JBotts could maximize cap space as it relates to LTIR designations like Hunwick and possible Bogo. They can both be recalled tomorrow. Olafsson will be skating on a line with Jack and Samson on Thursday night. And it looks like Jokiharu will be on the third D pair at the moment. With Scandella! Be afraid. Very afraid.

They are definitely in the playbook as we saw against the Bengals when we used a pick to hit Beasley on the two point conversion.

He seemed to have established a little rapport with Barkley in the preseason, so I could see it. Unfortunately, that also might be a sign that Allen is gonna sit. Then again, it might be a sign that Zay has worn out his welcome, Foster is nicked up, and they want to get Duke in there anyway.

Knox should have been a focal point of our offense on Sunday. I was surprised when he wasn’t. Granted, Josh didn’t look his way on at least one occasion when Knox was wide open, but still. If we are gonna see a steady diet of these 0 blitzes, then Daboll needs to get him more involved along with the RBs.
-
Slight quibble. 9 of those points were on Allen turnovers. Our offense actually out scored theirs. As bad as Allen was, it was one poor special teams play that beat us, ultimately. Allen crapped the bed in the first half, but turned it around a bit in the second, the INT in the third quarter notwithstanding (it should have been overturned, imo). The real test test comes when we see how he responds to a bad game.
-
Good because that means Daboll and Co. will have seen the same defense two weeks in a row, but TN doesn’t have the same personnel executing it, especially in the secondary. Bring it on.

It would have been OPI if Wallace plowed into him. Any contact at all and it would have been OPI. No contact, no foul.

Why’s Allen not getting peterman like treatment?

And the moronapalooza keeps on going. This is place can be insufferable after a loss. -
I am keeping it real by pointing out that comparisons between a fifth year QB, who benefited from a targeted high school and college QB development strategy and a second year player without the benefit of that league experience or the same kind of early development in high school and college, are a stretch. My post wasn’t directed at you, necessarily, and we both want the same from Allen I’m sure. That’s not how it works at all.
