  1. One would expect a coach to buck up a player so it’s no surprise to me. Williams had a couple good moments so it wasn’t all bad. But he took himself out of position on too many occasions imho.
  2. In fairness to Rapp, Henry is not his key on the play. It was Bernard’s key and he got his ass handed to him. That said, Rapp took a bad angle and displayed his lack of athleticism as he often does. And not to make any excuses for the D’s sorry performance, but they were gassed after chasing Lamar all over the field on the previous play. Pretty much an out of gas piss poor effort by everyone on that play
  3. I look forward to some All 22 analysis, but just watching the game you can see the big issue was execution, particularly with our back seven, particularly by Dorian Williams. He continues to play undisciplined instead of sticking to his fits. Ton of athletic ability, but he tends to overrun plays and bites on fakes too easily.
  4. I bought stuff from that vendor back in the day.
  5. I worry about a let down after such an emotional comeback win and going to a place that has given us fits in the past. And the Jest offense looked pretty good on Sunday, so I hope we solve our run fit issues. Plus, divisional games between opponents who know each other so well adds an element as well. Nice to know we shredded an Aaron Glenn defense the last time we faced it.
  6. It was a joke.
  7. Right. And how did the Ravens manage to lose the game? Because the Bills managed to win it.
  8. Looks slow in the pursuit of who, Lamar Jackson?
  9. That’s why I qualified “regular season.” I fully expect we will have to see them in the playoffs at some point. But neither team will be the same by then, anyway. Still gonna be a matchup pia.
  10. You gotta open the X link for the complete list. Falcons at the bottom for $2 a dog.
  11. We were in a 4-3 often last night, with Dorian Williams as the 3rd LB.
  12. If it’s any comfort, the Ravens are our worst opponent in terms of matchups, which football is all about. I doubt we will face a team as good as them, on both sides of the ball, for the rest of the regular season.
  13. Glad I’ll be in Atlanta for the Falcons game. I’m gonna get five hotdogs and STILL spend less than for one at Highmark.
  14. The fact that Josh threw for 250 yards in the 4th quarter alone is all we need to know how true that is.
  15. Per the bold text, Bishop is bigger than Micah Hyde. Bigger than Poyer, too. He just needs to learn the position.
  16. Exactly why it was good prep to face Lamar.
  17. It’s a game of inch.
  18. We will not see a bigger matchup nightmare than the Ravens. We need Bishop’s athleticism on the field as he continues on the learning curve. Facing Lamar last night was a good prep for seeing Fields next week.
  19. I hope so too, but high ankle sprains tend to linger all season. Same with Keon’s groin pull. But I don’t think we have the luxury of giving them the time necessary. Which means less than the best practice required to stay game sharp during the week. As for Samuel, I get the impression he’s in McD’s doghouse.
  20. Our WRs, some of whom are gimpy at the moment, are not all that. They couldn’t get open all night and Josh had to keep extending plays to give them the time to get open. It’s a work in progress is the best thing I can say about this group at this time. Allen is the definition of making chicken salad out of chicken crap.
  21. Not worried as Coleman is more involved in a trade with Carolina.
  22. Nice to see the Chiefs lose, but the world has never known a bigger liar than week 1 in NFL.
  23. You seem to think I’m arguing in defense of Beane, which I’m not. If you want to judge him on a portion of his body of work, fine. I agree his best WR adds were in trades since they were acquired, but Brown and Beasley were two good FA WR acquisitions, regardless. And we still need to see how Palmer and Moore end up doing.
  24. Yes, mixed. As for having to go all the way back to Josh’s second season, are we not supposed to judge Beane on his entire body of work? This is not a defense of Beane in the least, as he has more than his share of warts, but there is no denying that Brown and Beasley were solid FA signings at the WR position.
