Can’t forget the oline with Hull at center, Richter and Davis at guard, and Ballard and Wilford at the tackles. Four pro bowlers and another (Davis) who deserved it every bit as much. Taking nothing away from the E company who were great in their own right, but I think that O line in our SB era was better.

We averaged 455 yards on offense in the three games last season, with a high of 497 in the heat stroke game in Miami and a low of 423 in the playoff game here. If that’s matching up pretty well, I can’t wait to play a defense that doesn’t.

I’m not saying we are gonna lose to any team given our potential, but no team is a gimme. Sure, on paper, we should win these upcoming games, but history has taught us that’s just not the case. Every year we get these posts proclaiming easy wins and every year we lose games we had no business losing. And it’s funny how often it’s the same people who guaranteed wins against teams complain the most when we invariably lose a game.

They’re better on the back end now and the last time we played has absolutely nothing to do with now. One would think that’s obvious. That’s a legit offense and should be respected. I know the coaches and players do, that’s for sure.

Washington has a D front that can give us fits and Miami is for real. Nothing easy about either of those upcoming games. Nothing at all.
