  1. Who was advocating repeal of #2?? I don't think I've heard anyone say that here Oh, I guess J6P was..... It's doesn't solve the issue though
  2. It's expensive to insitutionalize, that's why we moved to CMHC, community mental health centers... It's also believe it was cruel, ineffective to lock people up who could live somewhat normal between group homes and outpatient service delivery... We can barely deliver Health care, let alone Behavioral/ Mental health services...
  3. Meathead wants the PPP to live in a cube, float through space and assimilate words.... Interesting angle here
  4. Arm held by responsible gun owners, the millions of them are the best defense against tyranny.... the government should fear its citizens, not the other way around. But only the extreme fringe of this nation are advocating banning guns... we all know that ain't gonna happen.... but the question again comes up as the tragedy wears on the minds of all Americans... Can we keep guns, implements of mass death when in the hands of a sociopath, away from them? Can we as a civilized nation set up laws that make it impossible for these people to get their hands on guns, knives, explosives, etc? - Where is the fine line crossed with regards to medical privacy? - What exactly defines/ profiles someone as ready to kill indiscriminately? - What is mental illness, what illness falls into the "suspended 2nd rights" catagory? - Are these shooting just collateral damage to Liberty and Freedom... is there anything legislators can do? - Can we accept the Government/ Authorities collecting info on all Americans in order to thwart these plots? - What evidence do we have that measure of legal gun control will make a difference? I find it to be a fascinating debate, although I am deeply saddened that it takes thee tragedies to get us talking about this..... it has never been as real as when the wounded from the theatre were being brought into my hospital to be treated... it was surreal... I am not sure there is a solution, but an honest discussion is warranted... it should be encourage by all citizens, the NRA, etc...
  5. Is it because of the fastitdious management of your ghetto home and ability to hustle and slang rocks?
  6. Our hospital campus is a gun free zone, except for a bunch of security. I often think when I see the sign walking in about the day soemone deranged dickstain comes into the cafteria and unloads because he's pissed about this bill....
  7. A gunman just killed a bunch of elementary students, not a week after a mall shooting, and not to distant instance of a movie theatre shooting.... And it suprises you that people who think gun control can change this are talking about Gun control... it would be suprising that in a year of record low gun violence that people would want to talk gun control, but now?
  8. What would you do on friday nights then?
  9. I have maintained it is not the amount of ammo one owns, someone could have a garage full as far as I am concerned, it is in the relative ease in which to deliver it with chosen weapon. I am not sure why someone needs a 100 round super magazine, and if 10 round clips where the max availale, you hope between bad shots, jambs and relaoding clips you keep the death toll down on these things.. But it doesn't change the fact that crazy !@#$s are crazy !@#$s. If you banned guns, it would then become explosives that leveled the school and killed everybody. bad things happen, people are defective, the question is what solutions/options are there? - Arming and Training Teachers, Administrators and Janitors? - Banning certain types of Guns? - Spying and Gathering infomration on all Amercians, and try to catch this before it happens (consider the civil liberties issues) I don't know, I don't see a solution that is clear and realitvely easy to enforce. Sad day for the Kids, the parents and America Greatm Exiled's head is gonna be !@#$ing huge now... lol
  10. Why schools? Do us all a favor a light up congress.
  11. Whenever someone names their kid "Heaven" backwards....... it won't end well... There are tons of Medicaid births here, people poor as crap with 5 kids in tow who name their new kid Nevaeh.... I hate to paint with a wide bruch here, but....
  12. If Unions, Compacent Auto Managament and Global Competition from better Companies turning out Superior products had not transpired on the Domestic Auto Business, Detroit would be a hopping place for the heathens and single moms alike. Detroit suffers from alot of challenges, many of them obvious and shocking, but what they continue to suffer from "doing the same thing, expecting different results".... its not 1950 anymore, cars are not flying off the lots, and it aint coming back anytime soon. Its no different than Government overall. Most Americans suffer from the believe that more "funding" will fix problems that are not of a financial nature.... they are typically of a delivery nature. Its ironic that in places like Detroit politician and unions believe that more money, more benefits, more food stamps, inflated wages will bring back the glory days and lift people up... when the solution is probably do alot less, let people leave Detroit and go to Cities and States where there is production economy and work to be had.
  13. The first mistake here, for those people, is believeing a politician care about anything other than staying in power. While I empathize with people losing their jobs, they had to be aware that they were maing darn good money at an airport to clean.... the question is will this last forever, or in a slow economy and downward pressure on Unions, is there a possibility of losing their jobs? One line that bugs me is the lady who says she may not be able to buy christmas presents this year.... well guess what, Christmas shopping is not food, heat, clothing or rent....
  14. Meh, heard this before. My Aunt for GM when she first graduated rom college. It was not unusual for people to be drunk, stoned, or out in a car having sex during their lunch/ break time. Her favorite story was when she was working in accounts payable and she began stopping shipments to contracts that were in arears, many in months and years. She was warned about "slowing it down" by the guys who worked in the department. Being the steadfast production B word my aunt is, she dug in a continued to clean-up show.... until one day she came into the office early and someone took a gigantic **** on her desk and chair.... classy stuff We drank during lunch when I was a lanscaper in college... some guys brought 8-10 beers in their thermos everyday, and reeked of booze in the AM before we got started... I don't know how you drink that much in the humid heat 11 hours a day a survive. That being said, I wish I could drink Bourbon at my office now... it would make this shot more fun
  15. Heck, the draft is Socialist. Why should a horrific failure of a team get the finest college player?
  16. They love being infront of Cameras, I honestly can't understand the reluctance... lol
  17. Not to mentioned you look like a big hairpie driving one,,,,
  18. There was a Ford Expedition in the first spot right in front of the "Eco Friendly" sign... I tried to get a pic of the Vehicles and the Sign on my phone, but couldn't get the shot... lol..... Another thing that bothers me is they have these special showers in the facility that work on solar power or some ****... there is a sign in the shower that says "please note, the shower temperature fluctuates" .... yes it goes form hot to cold and back and forth... its the most retarded thing I have every seen. I think the whole playgrounds now are rubberized, there is no merry god round wheel... I guess they suck and kids don't want o be on them anymore.. Yeah, how does one define eco friendly? Prius repellant, that is awesome.
  19. I think it is a well intentioned attempt to level the plaing field, be nice, be couteous, be empathetic to others and their feelings, etc..... the problem is, life is not as described above. I don't know if it apples for apples, but how about where people won't say NO to their kids because of the fragile psyches? How about the people who won't let Dodgeball in schools because it is exclusionary and rough? What about the playgrounds that are now made out of Rubber because no kids can ever get a splinter, but now we find these playgrounds suck and kids don't want to play on them? How about parents who don't use the term "fat" to describe fat people, they now call them "full"? How about the parking in the front of my gym that is reserved for "Eco-Friendly Vehicles" does that include my vehicle which I drive 3 miles a day versus my co-worker who drive 60 both ways? Honestly, I think the parking spots close to the gym should be reserved for skinny people.... Its no diiferent with the Government. Government attempt to creates this well intentioned fairness and level playing field, but that is not how socities work... In the end we spend all this time trying to flatten our the curve, when the fact is 95% of the people the cuve don't care or have other things to worry about.
  20. Isn't this place where we sharz R feelings?
  21. they probably would pay higher wages, given that the labor market would adjust amounts paid to be attractive to prospects. But it is a wash, the higher wage would simple be put into your new individual private insurance plan. It would be nice to have the option to take the wages at earned income tax rate, or the option to have that employer fund an HSA or benefits acocunt for you to use as you chose, and perhaps make it have a small tax advantage. I still think flat tax is the way to go, but lets me honest, not gonna happen
  22. Disturbed people like that are going to hurt others, whether it be with a pistol or he beat her into a coma... The concern for me is always the "ease" in which someone who is going to cause harm can do it (like James Holmes, do we need 100 round clip to protect our homes and liberty against tyranny??- don't know for sure) I am a pro-gun guy, there are Millions of people in this country who own mutliple guns, keep them locked, they take courses on safety/use, and would be terrified to turn that gun on someone because the thought of using that weapon on another human is frightening (even though they probably spout out like Wyatt Earp and John Wayne). Guns, quite honestly, are the least of my worries in the US. Heck, the dumb blonde B word, with those bigg sunglasses blabbing on her phone in an Expedition scare me way more... But he can get out of his car and challenge you to a dance off...
