The Race to the Bottom for higher earner.....
B-Large replied to tomato can's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
She's identified the problem, she was naive..... Instead of whining about a bump in the road, she way want to think o this experience as an opportunity, a supplementary education if you will.... - when you're making 160k, always have an exit plan to downshift when making 50k- chances are you'll get back to 160k again. - realize this one, simple concrete fact- nothing it easy in life, especially making money My wife was kind of in this same spot when we met.... She was about 40k under water on a town home that was killing her with a single income.. We have since turned that town home into a steady cash flower..... Sometimes she still get worked up about unfair, whoa was her, etc..... I told her it was the best financial education you will get about leverage and and how leverage can be a fickle B word... She'll never make such a mistake again... -
Love the solstice- Its great to see the 4:30PM evenings starting to extend, even if at first it is a few seconds that turns into minutes...

Yeah, people like that are annoying- their answers is always "ban everything".... it that Utopia, perfect world type thinking...
-
Did you deserve to be shot??? Lol
-
LOL- its pathetic, I know. I have still not installed the door clubs on our doors, but we did have our basement windows replaced with laminated glass..... I am in the process of doing a built-in for a safe in our hall closet that will house the safe for our gun, valuables, etc. I mean, its only been 7 months,,, geeezzzz.... Mostly I want it for my wife, she is gong with me to pick it our.... do they make pink pistols??

Yeah, its a good point. As a teacher though, taking the !@#$ ups from the bottom of the barrel to achieving is a WAY better indicator of performance/results than skimming the cream..... Maybe we should pay the teachers who take the worst student and get them to perform handsomely...... Nah, we'll pay the under performers just the same....

you need to drop that premise..... one a few retards want to outlaw guns, and they're retards.... you're better than this I am buying a gun in January, actually pretty excited. I have been thinking about it since May when our house was robbed....
-
Wow, thats quite a drop.... I would try Bing

that's inspiring. Inside of every bad kid is a good kid that wants to come out and shine.... Kitna has, like many other exceptional teachers are catalyst for this... The question is, is there a way to replicate this across the board in a way that is effective both resulst and cost wise?

Politcal message boards are about calling others Retards and find content that substantiates your claim with a Google search....

Naaman Roosevelt: Not a Patriot

Dude's probably get a fat ring on his finger... -
Holy ****, youre right. He was there for the Draft last year, I swear it, but it does look like he was fired.... where the !@#$ have I been?

Elways is also not the GM, Brian Xanders is. Elways is not the man pulling the personel trigger, he is the guy under Bowlen that is demanding success, accountability and greatness from the staff who is. I guess you could argue he got Manning, but that is different than drafting. Elway is an extension of Bowlen, not a Talent Evaluator. There needs to be evidence that Kelly could be a competent Football Executive... Could he work with Nix to bring in a great HC, convice that coach that the losing has stopped and that the Bills are back on the road to greatness?? Could he demand excellence and pull the plug on losers who accept less? Elway has... Don't know about Kelly

The one, the only, Tebow thread
B-Large replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tebow can't be a Traditonal QB in this league. His style of game tops out in College, where it is one read, handoff, run or throw a pass int he general area of the receiver. The good QB's, we know who they are, make many reads and make quick decision based on what a Defense shows..... that is a FAR cry from what Tebow's strength it. He also has that throwing motion that makes a quick strike, pinpoint passes very difficult. People also fail to remeber that if they beat the Pats last season in the playoffs, I am prety sure he was not going to play the next game with banged up ribs. Tebow is a great kid, athletic, heart like a bull... but he is not a 15 year QB solution. I loved watched him while he was here in Denver, but was not upset to see a real QB come in. -
Eric Wood: "Toronto series is a joke"
B-Large replied to 5 Wide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If they manage wins in the these two pointless games, it will be sold as a winning streak and finishing off the season on a strong note..... Chan will be back, and we will get to watch this mess next year too... I wonder if Wood is trying to get benched. -
Throw a Butt Out The Window And Get A Cavity Search?

I think its sexy..... -
America is founded on the notion of self-interest.... freedom to practice what I believe, work where I want, amass as much as I can... I think that is where alot of the static in the country some from with regards to social programs, the notion of "why do I have to pay if I am not using it??" But how do you achieve the goal of collectivism? Americans are generally allergic to collectivism via Government... you have to wonder if things like suburban sprawl led to a more individuallitics feeling in this country. Its a interesting topis nonetheless

we can't regulate ourselves out of all problems, ie banning 24OZ mountain dews, but he has some good points. There were many at the roundtable today who had excellent input.... George Will stated the assault weapons ban had little effect on violence, I will research that tomorrow.

But not too many Democrats are advocating repealing the 2nd amendment....
-
I wouldn't stand in line to sell your guns back quite yet then...

I see it as the price of freedom in regards to health info privacy, civil liberties and a land of weapons designed with lethality in mind. We don't like spending on healthcare, mental health care doesn't have a chance as far as I'm concerned. Even if you profiled the person most likely to commit this crime, what do you do with them??? Mandate meds? GPS track them? Publicly ostracize them??? lock them up for no crime other than being nuggets?? What if they don't want help??? If I am a sick !@#$ and. Want to kill, I find the nearest, easier high capacity killing machine because I want to go down big time.... It's lethal and easy.... Until we eliminate mentally illness or guns, shootings are going to continue.... Just hope it doesn't come to a locale near you. I don't know if there is a solution....
