  1. Meh, I am voting for Obama because of a very narrow, pathetic interest in his platform (I have never denied that)- but hey, that is where I am at right now. I have done just fine during Bush admin, Obama's admin, and would do just fine under a Romney admin. Frankly, when I looked at my ballot, I very seriously considered voting for Gary Johnson. IMHO, I think D and R's are implicit in splitting hairs in Washington, neither party overall is serious about the bloated government issue (I think there are some republicans who are, like Coburn, but once the others are in the Wash, lookout)- and maybe they cannot be serious because we don't have an electorate who can deal with hearing that Medicare will be broke soon, SS will be broke soon, and that we probably spend twice if not more on miltary than we are consitutationally required to do (to protect the nation, truly)- and that most other Federal Program could vanish and we would be just fine. I think both established parties habe hoodwinked the American electorate, except for some on this board into thinking Government has any answers to anything, or that just because the Fed CAN DO something, that is it prudent for them to actually do it. If Romney is elected, I will be behind him as out President. I will not like some of his policies, like the stance on abortion, war on drugs, etc... but I will support him in an attempt to make the country better than it was yesterday.
  2. The 47%.... they're such a hoot......
  3. I spend alot of time reading the articles, only because I want to learn/ know more about the polling and electoral process. Since OC seems to know quite a bit about polling and weighting and what not, I think he would find Silver's explanations compelling, even if he disagrees... Silver's analysis has been pretty conistent, and has not been biased at least from my view. I do think he works for the Obama campaign as a polling consultant, but I don't see him being a shill for the left.
  4. Do you read is daily articles? He explains much of his methodology and tweaks to the system as the race progesses. I don't know if you read the articles, but perhaps in them you will find your answers.
  5. Cut taxes, still spend an egregious amount of money... But it will be okay because dumb Americans will see their taxes go down and ignore the fact the rest is made up by borrowing....
  6. Nice to have the President show some sack, especially on the Libya stuff. Both of these men are competent, I am sure what the debate proves.... it comes down to the platform and policies, what do you think is best... I will enjoy watching MSNBC, then switching to Fox, then back, then back again.... it will entertain me!!!
  7. My pension isn't as big as yours, doesn't take me as long to look at it.... That was funny.... I wonder if that was rehearsed
  8. Meh, a little politics humor... LOL
  9. I think after rewatching it, the debate was not about details (even though that is what everybody wants, ar at least thats what they say) I think it was more a referedum on whether Jolting Joe and the Jelly Boy still had the fight and gumption to get back in the WH.... I think Ryan could have been more animated and he did show his neubness to the national stage, but I don't think he wins that debate any way, shape or form- I think Ryan was just kind of "there", all eyes were on the incumbent and how he would react to the "meh" Wednesday night debate. Now if this board was sitting in a room with Ryan/Biden, details would be welcome, analyzed and understood... but for most Americans, they like the Chicago style Razzle Dazzle.
  10. Interested to see what 538 has to say... Very much enjoy Silvers articles....
  11. Biden, because of 30 years of experience.. But Ryan will get there
  12. He's a numbers cruncher, that what he's known for. Biden has a huge experience edge, Ryan did well considering... Ryan's got to smile once and a while.... He looked confident yet to tight
  13. Meh, this fires up the base, little else... The meat is next Tuesday, that it needle moving stuff...
  14. Irrelevant... Team Romney could gain by blowing it up here, but all comes down to Obama... If Onama comes out on fire on Tuesday, I think he nails down the EC... Who knows what O will show...
  15. It was a joke compadre..... After the kitty performance by Obama
  16. So maybe Obama and Ryan should debate at Oxford to determine who is the most polite?
  17. Ryan needs to develop a sense of humor, and damnit kid, is your face gonna break if you smile.... .??
  18. To not be impressed with Ryan is crazy, he did a good job all considering... ****, he's 42, he's got lost 30 years to learn what Biden knows
  19. I expected Joe to bulldoze here.... I think zryan has done well in his first debate.... In the end, it is about Romney and Obama...
  20. Am I the only one who wants to see Big Joe and Mitrens two more times?.... Lol What is the chances the VP debates the Challenger!
  21. Don't be retarded.... He has the polish, just a little to young and wet to have the charisma... He's gonna be a player for a long time, the guy is bright.... Biden is just too experienced at running the political game... Obama is lucky, this might sve his hide
