  1. !@#$ the Patriots
  2. What the !@#$ happened to this thread?
  3. If people believe that the rich and incorporated pay for special treatment through politician favor, then we simply pull the favoritism lever, ie the current 70k page tax code. No credits, no deductions, no favoritism. It's really the pure definition of fair share. This was @Franz Kafka as we'll.
  4. She is in jail for contempt of court, not gay marriage. I heard her jail is an all you rape buffet.
  5. Perfect argument for a flat or fair tax...
  6. To be honest, I was suprised after I read the deliberately inflammatory half truth thread title that is wasn't started by you. Just because someone disagrees with your policy positions, doesn't make them a loser. I'd like to have Trump-like success any day of the week.
  7. The point is it's being reported he is proposing a wall, which he isn't. All ideas can be considered in a discussion about border security and immigration, it's part of the process, but I doubt we'll be handing out Canadian Border Wall building contracts anytime too soon.
  8. We just defer the job to the weirdos in Boulder Exactly B, I have seen this taken out of context a few places, a little reading comprehension and critical thought exposes the ruse easily. It's kind of a loaded issue, if you say there is no discussion about a northern wall you hate Mexicans, you say it merits a discussion you get smeared as ludicrous and crazy.
  9. He didn't propose a wall in that article, simply said it merits discussion. I don't know if he formally proposed a wall as part of a platform, maybe he did, I haven't seen it. We have a discussion about forming an official Colorado extra terrestrial preparedness committee around ballot time, nobody really supports or votes for it.
  10. North Korea is gay...... Take that micro agression, Kim Jong.
  11. Very high Rubio. I was surprised.
  12. Its easy to leave be. Hence Trumps attraction.
  13. As a libertarian, you of all people should stand up against people advocating voting upon condition... Once you begin to suspend rights based on economics metrics, what other rights enumerated to free people begin to come under attack? Becuase people dont vote how you prefer, doesnt mean they should be relegate to no vote, no voice...
  14. Voting is a right, not a privilege. There are a lot of hardworking Americans who benefit from those programs, because they need help shouldnt surrender their right to vote. Think about the slippery slope you're proposing. Whom else can easily be deemed unworthy, where is the line drawn?
  15. The concept that an illegal immigrant can have a child here and that child become a citizen is nonsensical. If my wife and I smuggled ourselves into France, had a child, and we're arrested by French authorities I would expected to be put on a plane at our expense back to the U.S. I would never have the gall to go into another country illegally and expect them to rollover, make me a citizen, make me eligible for their benefits, etc. TYTT takes a different opinion, but I see the use of two citizens of good standing have a child with granted citizenship... But this pthers stuff, nonsense.
  16. That's a big point of uncertainty in the discussion. Do illegal immigrants have access to benefits? Do they get phony SSN? They do pay property taxes and sales taxes. I guess that it was is so frustrating about the whole thing, the system is such a mess no one really knows what is going on. I don't think anyone would have issue with immigrants being part of our country either as citizens or as permitted workers. But you're correct, the rhetoric around this issues makes legislation that much harder to achieve.
  17. Work Ethic has nothing to do with Legally Processed Citizenship in the United States. More than anything I am suprised by this countries ambivilence to this issue.
  18. It's a fair question, why should people here illegally, ie breaking our laws, have their child deemed a U.S. Citizen? Provide them medical care, ensure the health of that child then deport them... If they WISH to be citizens, they can file for legal processing... Is that really unreasonable?
  19. TYTT post got me to thinking, the 14th amendment granted US citizenship to slaves during reconstruction after the civil war from my recollection and due process for all citizens, but does the amendment need addressed as of 2015? Does a child here of parents who are not citizen status deserve automaic citizenship? I recall bills proposing a change have had little traction in Congress. Trumps digging into immigration, it's gonna be a hot topic come election time.... Thoughts?
  20. It's 15 months out, aggregate polling has her leaps and bounds ahead of democrats and most republicans... The email scandal will be a blip, and people will lose interest in it. Sanders will be the nominee as much as Trump will be. I'm still saying follow the money, Hillary versus Jeb.
  21. So much latent gay on this board, it's shocking, but I know a gay guy so it's okay...
  22. Lol, yes defined benefit- I was thinking defined contribution because my wife had to choose a few years back and we chose DC for her Colorado PERA. Terrified of defined benefit plans
  23. I'm terrified of defined contribution programs. Love the idea, terrified of the reality. Think airlines employees, domestic car workers, SS beneficiaries, broke ass municipalities, military benefits always a place for "reform"... I used to hate the idea of SS being privatized, but to be honest after seeing congress and our political scene the last decade, past promises and future payouts makes me nervous. I don't mind the idea of a forced savings, because I think most Americans are retarded whe it comes to saving, but government management of the money might be more retarded.
  24. If a new energy source was discovered/ refined/ created and it was viable, there would not have to be tax credits and government loan programs to get it off the ground... Companies would be muscling each other to get it to market and build infrastructure around it. But you're right on, just because we want a clean renewable energy source doesn't mean we have one to incent its development. Somebody will formulate the disruptive design on energy and oil will be running for its life... It's only a matter of time, but it's sure isn't gonna be congress and the POTUS doing the heavy lifting... Just muddying the waters.
  25. That's just a symptom of when you start saying "when I was a kid"...... To me, societies always change and progress, I'd not see it as worse, just different. We nip the fiscal problems were in good shape.
