technically if the godless Gene met your rental criteria in the rental process you have established, you would have to rent to him. We often have people we prefer, but often rent to people who come in earlier and meet our criteria. This is probably different state to state, but Colorado was very pro tenant. You could just tell Gene he didn't meet criteria, or someone meeting the criteria got their application in first, but fair housing doesn't let you pick and choose... If they ever deemed to pursue you for discrimination, you may be liable.

So my wife's condo she bought in 2003 is finally recovered and we can sell it. I don't like selling property, but thing is a condo not close to us.. So we get a full price offer in a competitive market, VA loan buyer... A vet gets a nice condo as he and his wife move to colorado for Washington. Come to find out, this condo complex under 1 HOA only has 4 of 12 building approved for VA purchase. The VA approves each building separately, even though they are all managed by one HOA. So essentially, so sellers are all but saying No Way to VA loan beneficiaries...because of this approval and appraisal process.. What kind of retarded process is it to approval each building separately? I feel for this Vet. Wd have the option of applying for VA approval, or cutting bait and saying !@#$ it... In a hot market, a good bit of my says !@#$ it.... I hate having to think like that. To reiterate, the government is retarded and don't ever buy condos....

People are irresposnible with money because we let them be- we don't teach out kids (Who become adults) about borrowing, credit, and what financing is really all about. You know you have an issue in this country when people finance 50K vehicles for 84 months. I think if we put a focus on learning about money, and being reposnsible, people would have the tool to do much better. I think that is the point- you still require people to contribute, but they can put it in private accounts that cannot be used by Politicans. I'd be for opting out, and turning SS into a true safety net program to be honest. Help those who truly need it at the end of their working years, not just a national pension program.

It'd be one thing if all those taxes collected where in a safe dedicated account, but that is not he case. Let Amercians put their money in Fidelity or Vanguard just like they would SS... keep the fees ultra low, I just don't see that harm? SS used to be attractive because of the strenght of US credit, like like treasuries... but you have think sooner rather than later than will cease to be the case...
