The biggest key to the bengals defeating the Chiefs and reaching the SB was their defense shutting down the chiefs offense. You can harp on the 3 punts that we had vs the chiefs as the reason we lost…..but not being able to stop them was more the reason. The bengals held them to 24 points, we gave up 42. The bengals D held them to 30% less passing yards. They had 2 interceptions to our 0 and had 4 sacks to our 2. But yeah….,it’s only about the offense.

Oh man. This thread = every other thread. Badol and Scott saying the same exact thing they’ve said in every other thread since the draft ended and we didn’t draft a WR or an OL in the first few rounds. the never ending debate. Agree to disagree? No….. just type the same things….. over and over and over and over and yeah…. Over and over. What a colossal waste of time.

He just found a team. The worst team in the league paid him 1 year 700k 😃

Training camp won’t answer that question for you. Patience

@stevewin thanks for the great updates my man. Very well done and we appreciate it.

Thank goodness.

I’ll stick with my statement. He never won a SB with a strong WR unit. Agree to disagree

He never won a SB with a strong WR unit. I stand by that statement. The only statement I’ve made in this conversation. Not much to argue, unless you think Branch and Brown make up a “strong” WR unit. And if you think they are, I agree to disagree.

He never had a strong wr unit while winning a SBs imo. my conversation on this subject was focused on WR units. Not TEs. Yes, he had great TEs for many of them.

Week 2 of Camp - updates and talking points (OL??)

Jags signed him yesterday -
The offense goes as the OL goes. If the OL is average, the offense should be great. If the OL is injured and jax-like, we’ll be sad and doomed. After a week of training camp news, we better hope the starters come back healthy and stay that way. The backups are getting destroyed on the reg

I don’t think one player makes an offense like you obviously do. Tonyan is a pretty good TE. I don’t think he’s great, but was hurt the majority of the season last year. The season before, he caught 88% of his passes. He didn’t have ONE drop the entire season. He had more catches and TDs that season than knoxs’ career bests. But he’s Knox “light”? Because he was hurt last year? I disagree. He’s a pretty good TE, similar to knox. aaron jones is better than any back we have by a wide margin imo. I’m not really high on Dillon either, but he has a role and is pretty good at it. All pro LT David Bakhtiari played in 1 game last season. Pro bowl OG Elgton Jenkins missed the last 9 games + the playoffs. top 5 CB Jaire Alexander played in 4 games last year. they had multiple starters on the OL, DL and WRs missed 4-5 games dues to injury last year. Imagine if Dawkins missed as many games as Bakhtiari—- did you watch the Jags game? We’re one Dawkins season ending injury away from possibly being .500. The packers had the best record in the league without their all world LT. Injuries matter. Just hope that we don’t get hit like they did last season. I don’t think the packers will be great this season, but to call their roster Oakland As bad is just a terrible and inaccurate statement imo.

Don’t forget my conservative McD I saw. That’s great. Now he only needs to be able to shadow the WRs…..and not get burned by Neil Pa’auauu

Good thing you’re here to say the same thing in every post.

Week 2 of Camp - updates and talking points (OL??)
NewEra replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
He scares me because I didn’t think he was a 1st rd corner. He held a lot in college and according to some of the reports I’ve read, he’s been holding a lot in training camp. If he’s going to be our #2, possibly #1 cb (if 27 doesn’t start the season) I want to hear more good than bad. To date, I’ve heard more bad than good. Jmo. -
Crowder “will be out there in some capacity today” feeling the heat Great to see Dawkins back with the team!

Week 2 of Camp - updates and talking points (OL??)

I saw that. Hoping that one of them can be a low cost Edmunds replacement. Not because I don’t like 49, but because we can’t pay everyone and I don’t think that position will be worth what he wants. We’re already over the cap for next season (iirc) and have a handful of mouths that need feeding -

Not a big deal yet….but possibly very big deal unless these guys get to practicing and get healthy. The OL, boundary WR and Kaiir Elam scare me. Excited to see more Cook, Mckenzie, Shakir, young DEs, Dodson and Bernard -

I love cover 1 as well. Ants delivery annoys me, can’t listen to him anymore. Although I did listen to Mckenzie’s interview tonight. Love me some lil dirty -
Or yours, complaining about people complaining.
