And your only play, getting a 1B, is also an if…. It’ll be worth it IF we win the Super Bowl. And that still wouldn’t prove that we couldn’t have won without a 1b. Mahomes did. I feel we can. More so, even if we get a 1b, we’ll still need a combination of the same “ifs” to occur to win. If Dorsey sucks, we’re in trouble. If the OL sucks- 1b isn’t likely to change things that drastically imo. If both Dorsey and the OL suck (again) we’re screwed no matter regardless of 1b

The WR might just have to be WR2. The chiefs didn’t have a WR1b they had a handful of solid WRs and Kelce- I think we can win with a handful of solid WRs and Diggs. What matters much more than getting a 1b compared to a 2 is Ken Dorsey making good progress as an OC, Spencer Brown + Bates+ McGovern improving and staying healthy.

Well said. For the right price

I’d take him for the minimum but would prefer to draft one in rds 1-5

KC restructures Mahomes to create cap space
NewEra replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
And they’ll continue to do this every year. Just like we will -
No. It’s about winning the Super Bowl. That can be done many ways when constructing a roster. The best roster offense doesn’t always win the Super Bowl. That’s not how it works every year. Coaching, defense, injuries, refs, STs. Lots goes into it. We’ll NEVER be able to give Josh was Mahomes has until Reid is out the door. trading away all of our future assets in order to have a better offensive roster than KC and Cinci is reckless. you act like trading up for a WR will automatically give us a better offense than Cinci and KC. Some see it the opposite. That trading down and accumulating more picks give us more weapons and OL. Trading up would only subtract a potential starter giving Josh less. we can improve our offense in a multitude of ways- not just the way you feel is best Trading for hopkins isn’t the same amount of money as trading for Hopkins bro. so because we can’t trade for Poyer, we can’t spend money on d. that makes no sense
-
Yeah…:injuries aren’t random. Look up how many games hyde, Poyer and tredavious missed prior to 2021. How many games had Ed and Daquan missed? How about Rousseau? You’re talking about one guy, Von Miller I stopped reading after that. You’re a troll.
-
Yup- and we won with our roster (minus Tre). Someone said it wasn’t good enough- but it was. We suffered significant injuries- the other team didn’t

It’s over the top- we aren’t making the cap room for hopkins or Obj- maybe jeudy— you want a splash and won’t be content until Beane goes completely all in (that’s what a hopkins trade would be unless he took a major pay cut). He’s already moved a lot of money down the road and will continue to do so year after year. But I doubt you’ll ever see him cripple his ability to move money around. A hopkins trade would likely do just that. obj is smoking crack- he might deserve 7M per year on a one year deal. jeudy- makes sense- but you can’t say the offseason is a failure because a GM fails to acquire the one guy that would fit your criteria. It’s a poor WR class- it’s bad luck- but possibly compromising the future to fill a need is a mistake imo. I think a 2nd rd WR + Harty as the main additions at WR is solid considering what was available and what we paid for them without compromising the future. Sure adding jeudy would be great, but a 2nd round WR could be similarly productive- let’s not act like Jeudy has been a star. Addison 💯 Flowers- not 💯 but would be on board if he’s the pick.
-
Meh. Would’ve preferred someone more mobile- but he’s Josh’s boy and the QB room is a boys club-
-
You’re right- I had him on ignore and was caught at a moment of weakness to see how ignorant is post would be- lo and behold.
-
Yes, but losing him moves us away from being a great team….you need to look a little deeper.
-
2 days = meh. Our roster was good enough. We smacked the chiefs with the roster- in KC. Without tredavious. But yeah. injuries happened. And if injuries to key players happens again, the same will likely happen. The chiefs remained injury free- it’s one of the reasons they won the SB.

I’m happy with the offseason so far. Edmunds price of 18M was too much. he resisted the temptation and played that card correctly imo. Poyer- He held his ground and played things perfectly as he kept a great working relationship with JP, enough so that he would return. He’s a leader and would have been missed. mcgovern- looks like a huge upgrade over Saffold in pass protection….and that’s really what matters most. The move could also help both OG spots of Bates moves to LG and performs better than he did at RG- Harty- I’ve been a fan of the kid for a few years, so I absolutely love this signing. I think he’ll be a WR along with some gadgets. Dorsey needs to make him shine. Maybe our PR too (but I’m worried about the fumbles) martin- stud punter- didn’t overpay Matakavich- lol Dodson- capable backup- knows the system- hopefully won’t have to play. tendered Dane- solid depth. Resigned Cam Lewis

cmon man. they didn’t face that secondary.

This is why you’re not worth the time spent replying to. I spend more time showing you how inept you are at comprehending what I wrote than I do talking about the Bills. 15 teams- 22 roster spots- endless IR spots. Yes, I kept him and stashed him on IR. As would have every owner in the league. You don’t have to. 👋🏻

Daaaaaam!!!

Yeah, Hines KO, Harty PR sounds like the plan. his route tree is more advanced than most think. He ran the deep skinny post to perfection. That short area/stop and go explosion that he possesses is so difficult to defend on all 3 levels. His future in Buffalo is in the hands of Dorsey + him being healthy in the playoffs.
-
No. I’m in a 15 team dynasty league. Lots of roster spots and limited free agent pool. Randomly watching a saints game, he made a few plays that made me think “dam!! That dude has some jets and some wiggle”. So I picked him up and have been monitoring him since. So yeah…. Not 9am. Thanks for playing

But do we know Jeudy can play? i was a huge fan coming out of bama, but he’s really been meh. He’s shown he can be pretty good at times. He’s shown he can be terrible at times. 41 games- five 100 yard games. -Didn’t catch 1 TD during the 2021 season (9 games played) -58% catch rate- gabe Davis is 54% - as a rookie, he dropped 17%+ of his targets (led nfl) - as a rookie- caught 75% of catchable passes- worst in the nfl. There are stats to prove each side on most arguments. Cough. I’m a fan of jeudy and hope we trade for him. 27 for jeudy and 68 sounds great to me. I just don’t think he’s really proven yet. If he was, I’d be confidant in paying him big bucks prior to playing on his 5th uear option, but I’m not sold on that yet. I’d be happy to have him this year and next then take it from there.

You knew it would fire people up because it’s a trash comment and has no relevance, because no one compared him to Hill. it’s on Dorsey (and Allen) to use him properly. I don’t think that has anything to do with the player. it can be a 1 year 5M contract. Could it be an overpay? Sure. I’m not saying he’s a sure thing. If he was, he’d cost a lot more than what we’re paying him. We’re paying for his potential, clearly. If it doesn’t work out…. Beane poorly allocated 5M while trying to add speed.
