FBI Declassifies Report That the CCP May Have Interfered With the 2020 Election Jennifer Oliver O'Connell FBI Director Kash Patel on Monday evening turned over to Congress an intelligence report raising concerns that China had mass-produced fake U.S. driver's licenses to carry out a scheme to hijack the 2020 election with fake mail-in ballots for Democrat Joe Biden. The newly declassified intelligence reports from August 2020 weren’t corroborated or fully investigated and instead were recalled from intelligence agencies at about the time that then-FBI Director Chris Wray testified there were no known plots of foreign interference ahead of the 2020 election in which Biden defeated Donald Trump, officials told Just the News. The new documents were turned over to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, who had first raised concerns to the bureau that the intelligence hadn’t been fully vetted, and instead was just dismissed even though there was evidence of the fake licenses. "Thanks to the oversight work and partnership of Chairman Grassley, the FBI continues to provide unprecedented transparency at the people's Bureau,” Patel told Just the News in a statement. “To that end, we have located documents Chairman Grassley requested, which detail alarming allegations related to the 2020 U.S. election. https://redstate.com/jenniferoo/2025/06/17/fbi-declassifies-a-report-that-the-ccp-may-have-interfered-with-the-2020-election-n2190608

I won't post in that trash thread. UPDATE: WASHINGTON (AP) — U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem was taken to the hospital on Tuesday after experiencing an allergic reaction, her spokeswoman said. “She is alert and recovering,” said the statement from department spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin, who said the hospital treatment was out of an “abundance of caution.” Noem, 53, heads a sprawling department with roughly 260,000 employees handling immigration enforcement, airport security, disaster response and other matters. She has been among the more high-profile members of President Donald Trump’s cabinet, traveling extensively and maintaining a robust social media presence. https://apnews.com/article/kristi-noem-homeland-security-immigration-border-hospital-acab815b1bc9db61b1c90a1f17abeecb

Common sense on the upswing ? Ezra Klein: Why the Left is Losing on Trans Issues John Sexton Ezra Klein has an interview with Rep. Sarah McBride, the first trans congressperson, about why Democrats are losing on these issues. I don't know who wrote the headline for this but it's currently titled "Sarah McBride on Why the Left Lost on Trans Rights." That seems a bit too final and definitive for me, or maybe just misleading. The left hasn't lost on trans rights, at least not for the most part. What they have done is lost the public's favor by doubling down on a few narrow issues where they have little support https://hotair.com/john-s-2/2025/06/17/ezra-klein-why-the-left-is-losing-on-trans-issues-n3803904

DNC Shedding Public Employee Union Bosses by David Strom Sunday turned out to be the night of the long knives in the Democratic Party. Two top union leaders--from public employee unions, no less--have resigned from the Democratic National Committee. Randi Weingarten, colloquially known as "The Devil" in some circles, and the less well-known but nearly as important Lee Saunders of AFSCME have left the Democratic National Committee. (X) Both are leaving due to disputes with the relatively new Chair of the Democratic National Committee, Ken Martin, who until recently was the Chairman of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party {snip} Things are not all well at the DNC. As you recall, David Hogg was just kicked out of his position as Vice Chairman of the Party for being of the wrong gender as well as for wanting to drive the party further to the left by supporting leftist challengers to Democratic incumbents in safe seats. Weingarten supported that effort as well, suggesting she thinks that Martin is too conservative. https://hotair.com/david-strom/2025/06/16/dnc-shedding-public-employee-union-bosses-n3803838

J.D. Vance - Character and Policies
B-Man replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Look, I'm seeing this from the inside, and am admittedly biased towards our president (and my friend), but there's a lot of crazy stuff on social media, so I wanted to address some things directly on the Iran issue: First, POTUS has been amazingly consistent, over 10 years, that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. Over the last few months, he encouraged his foreign policy team to reach a deal with the Iranians to accomplish this goal. The president has made clear that Iran cannot have uranium enrichment. And he said repeatedly that this would happen one of two ways--the easy way or the "other" way. Second, I've seen a lot of confusion over the issue of "civilian nuclear power" and "uranium enrichment." These are distinct issues. Iran could have civilian nuclear power without enrichment, but Iran rejected that. Meanwhile, they've enriched uranium far above the level necessary for any civilian purpose. They've been found in violation of their non-proliferation obligations by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which is hardly a rightwing organization. It's one thing to want civilian nuclear energy. It's another thing to demand sophisticated enrichment capacity. And it's still another to cling to enrichment while simultaneously violating basic non-proliferation obligations and enriching right to the point of weapons-grade uranium. -
FBI Director Kash Patel dropped a bombshell Monday evening, handing Congress an intelligence report that raises serious questions about China’s role in the 2020 election. According to the report, Chinese operatives mass-produced counterfeit U.S. driver’s licenses as part of a broader scheme to flood the system with fake mail-in ballots—benefiting… you guessed it… Joe Biden. This wasn’t just foreign meddling—it was industrial-scale fraud, enabled by a broken mail-in voting system the Democrats have long been exploiting. The report confirms what many of us suspected all along: the integrity of the 2020 election wasn’t just compromised—it was hijacked. According to officials who spoke to Just the News, the reports—flagging potential foreign interference in the lead-up to the 2020 election—were neither corroborated nor seriously investigated. In fact, they were quietly pulled back from intelligence agencies right around the time then-FBI Director Chris Wray told Congress there were “no known plots” of foreign meddling. Convenient timing, isn’t it? While Trump was being accused of endangering democracy, the intelligence community was sitting on evidence that might have blown the lid off the election narrative—and they buried it. {snip} So let’s connect the dots. The FBI had credible intel in 2020—substantiated by actual evidence from Customs and Border Protection—that the Chinese Communist Party was working to rig the election with fake IDs and mail-in ballots. The allegations pointed directly to a scheme designed to help Joe Biden. And what did the bureau do? They buried it. Recalled the report. Pretended it never existed. While Democrats and the media were screaming about “foreign interference” in 2016, they had no interest in stopping it in 2020—because it worked in their favor. This wasn’t a failure of intelligence. It was a cover-up. And the consequences of that cover-up may have changed the course of American history. https://pjmedia.com/matt-margolis/2025/06/16/kash-patel-drops-2020-election-interference-evidence-bombshell-n4940866

UPDATE: ISRAEL v IRAN - Ceasefire reached?
B-Man replied to Big Blitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
If the Iranian Regime Falls, What Will Follow? David Strom A sudden collapse of the Iranian regime looks like a real possibility. As far as I know, the Israelis have no plans to take out Iran's spiritual leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, but they are systematically dismantling the pillars of state power underneath him. The Ayatollahs are on the run, and the generation that put them into power doesn't have a ton of support from average Iranians. Persia in the 1960s and 1970s was a rapidly developing and Westernizing country. It was the regional power, balancing the less Western-friendly Arab states. The women were treated with dignity and enjoyed the same freedoms as Western women--videos of Iranians living their daily life were not very dissimilar to those from a European Mediterranean city. But the regime was toppled by Islamists who were very unhappy with the trend toward Westernization. An unholy alliance between communists and Islamists systematically undermined the regime, and when Jimmy Carter withdrew US support for the Shah due to his repression of the opposition, the regime fell. The Shah was right and Carter was wrong. We have been in a low-medium level conflict with Iran for over four decades, and millions died in the Iran-Iraq war because of Carter's foolishness. The Middle East was destabilized, and progress was set back decades. Still, the fall of the Ayatollahs and the reinstatement of a constitutional monarchy — a somewhat likely outcome — does not guarantee an Iran that returns to relative stability. Just as the fall of Gaddafi in Libya led to chaos, that is one possible outcome. The mechanisms of state power are being destroyed, and Iran's economy has been devastated by sanctions and now war. https://hotair.com/david-strom/2025/06/16/if-the-iranian-regime-falls-what-will-follow-n3803857 -

THE HORROR… THE HORROR…:

Nearly 1 million illegal immigrants have ‘self deported’ under Trump, which has led to higher wages. One of those tracks relies on arrests and deportations of aliens unlawfully here, which at the outset has focused mainly on criminals (the “worst first” strategy). The other track is more subtle but also cheaper for taxpayers and arguably much more effective —encouraging illegal migrants here to self-deport. It began with an Inauguration Day Trump directive requiring DHS to ensure all aliens present in the United States — legal and otherwise — have registered with the federal government, and to prosecute those who don’t comply. … One way to track the program is by checking employment numbers. One financial wiz cited by the Wall Street Journal calculated a decline in the immigrant population of 773,000 in the first four months of Trump II. The Washington Post claims “a million foreign-born workers have exited the workforce since March.” The Post frames this as “a sign of the weakening labor supply.” Yet the paper also notes, “Average hourly wages accelerated, rising by 0.4 percent over the month, to $36.24 in May, as earnings continue to beat inflation in a boost to workers’ spending power.” In other words, with fewer illegal immigrants, businesses had to raise wages to attract workers. https://nypost.com/2025/06/15/opinion/nearly-1-million-illegal-immigrants-have-self-deported-under-trump-which-has-led-to-higher-wages/ Unexpectedly.

Trump directs ICE to expand deportations in Democratic-run cities, undeterred by protests by Aamer Madhani President Donald Trump on Sunday directed federal immigration officials to prioritize deportations from Democratic-run cities, a move that comes after large protests erupted in Los Angeles and other major cities against the Trump administration’s immigration policies. Trump in a social media posting called on U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials “to do all in their power to achieve the very important goal of delivering the single largest Mass Deportation Program in History.” He added that to reach the goal officials ”must expand efforts to detain and deport Illegal Aliens in America’s largest Cities, such as Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York, where Millions upon Millions of Illegal Aliens reside.” https://apnews.com/article/trump-ice-deportations-protests-65fa8d64ea12a78a0ee0ebeea008ee4d?utm_source=Email&utm_medium=share Probably did it with a "royal proclamation" Right ?

Minnesota lawmaker assassinated another shot.
B-Man replied to 4th&long's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Assassinated Minnesota Democrat Melissa Hortman had just crossed party lines to cast decisive vote against illegal migrant handouts: ‘What leaders do’ by Anthony Blair The Dem Minnesota state lawmaker who was assassinated by a crazed gunman in a rubber mask crossed party lines just days earlier and made a critical vote revoking health care coverage for illegal migrants. Melissa Hortman, the state House Democratic leader, was the only member of her party to side with Republicans and vote to repeal taxpayer-funded healthcare coverage for adult illegal immigrants as part of this year’s budget bill. She and her husband were gunned down on Saturday in Brooklyn Park just outside of Minneapolis, shortly after the same assassin is believed to have gravely wounded Democratic state Sen. John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette. https://nypost.com/2025/06/15/us-news/assassinated-minnesota-dem-had-just-crossed-party-lines-to-cast-decisive-vote-against-illegal-migrant-handouts/ .
