  3. Hegseth Refuses to 'Fall For' Mazie Hirono's Slimy Questions About Trump By Mike Miller As we've seen with most if not all of President Donald Trump's advisors and cabinet members, it hasn't worked out well at all for smug Democrat lawmakers as they've tried to play "gotcha" during hearings, or attempted to lead member of Team Trump down false paths, always laden with TDS-riddled questions and barbs. In the latest example, snippy Hawaii Democrat Sen. Mazie Hirono tried — for at least the second time — to get Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to say whether or not he would follow an unlawful order from Trump. Any guesses how that turned out? Here's Hirono: [Concerning] an order from the president, I'm going to ask you once again — to shoot peaceful protesters in the legs, would you carry out such an order from the president? Setting aside the probability that Hirono doesn't give a hoot about the "peaceful" protesters, and is not only far more interested in "trapping" Hegseth, but even more so, with dumping on Trump, her staged question was nothing more than performative theater. Hegseth calmly, yet forcefully, answered: Senator, as I've said, before, of course I reject the premise of your question, and the characterization that I would be given — or have been given — unlawful orders is an attempt to smear the Commander in Chief and I won't fall for it. https://redstate.com/mike_miller/2025/06/18/mazie-dont-mess-with-pete-hegseth-refuses-to-fall-for-sen-hironos-slimy-question-n2190621
  4. For SOME Reason Senate Dems Skipped a Great Opportunity to Defend Biden's Cognitive State Back when Joe Biden was still in the White House, Democrats, including Sen. Chuck Schumer, were saying that claims of the president suffering from cognitive decline were totally false. The gaslighting effort was off the charts The presidential debate in June of last year and many other videos of Biden made it clear that wasn't true. What we were seeing was not, in fact, the "best version of Biden ever" as MSNBC's Joe Scarborough claimed. Now Sen. Schumer is among Democrats trying to avoid the subject of investigating Biden's cognitive state because the country has hungry kids to feed. The Dems are trying to pretend the investigations are GOP stunts but in fact it is quite important for the country to know who was really pulling the strings at the White House during the Biden years. Today there was a hearing about Biden and the cover-up effort, and all Democrats on the committee were eager to show up and defend the former president's cognitive state. Wait, no they weren't. Go figure: https://twitchy.com/dougp/2025/06/18/for-some-reason-senate-dems-skipped-a-great-opportunity-to-bidens-cognitive-state-again-n2414414

  6. Great news. OH NO ! Letting the people decide ? “The Court's role is not ‘to judge the wisdom, fairness, or logic’ of [the ban on surgically mutilating minors], but only to ensure that the law does not violate equal protection guarantees,” the Supreme Court ruled. “It does not. Questions regarding the law's policy are thus appropriately left to the people, their elected representatives, and the democratic process.”
  7. President Trump has been consistent in his view for over 10 years. Iran must never have nuclear weapons, and the U.S. must not get stuck in regime change / nation building. As he meets with his defense team and state dept., I am confident that this is still his goal. Occupation is not the way this gets done. That's the way we get 20+ more years of endless war. What's happening now is a complete undoing of that policy. The same policy that's allowed the executive branch to accelerate it's creep, that's given the IC and MiC unfathomable and uncheckable power. THEY wanted this war to be fought their way - propping up all sides to ensure a nasty, protracted fight that bleeds us of blood and treasure while they get rich. You don't want that. I know you don't. Nor do I. If you want to end that, this is the way forward. The Iranian people - not small pockets, the vast majority - have been clamoring for our help for nearly 3 decades now. They have to do the heavy lifting, and they want to. But they can't do it as long as our IC and WH keeps propping up the Mullahs. The Mullahs being gone is good for Iran. It's good for the region. It's good for the US. It's good for the world. But it was never going to happen without force. There are monsters in the hills that require brave men to slay them from time to time. That's the world we live in. It's fiction to believe otherwise. It's the "how" that slaying gets done that's the quibble. .

  9. FBI Declassifies Report That the CCP May Have Interfered With the 2020 Election Jennifer Oliver O'Connell FBI Director Kash Patel on Monday evening turned over to Congress an intelligence report raising concerns that China had mass-produced fake U.S. driver's licenses to carry out a scheme to hijack the 2020 election with fake mail-in ballots for Democrat Joe Biden. The newly declassified intelligence reports from August 2020 weren’t corroborated or fully investigated and instead were recalled from intelligence agencies at about the time that then-FBI Director Chris Wray testified there were no known plots of foreign interference ahead of the 2020 election in which Biden defeated Donald Trump, officials told Just the News. The new documents were turned over to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, who had first raised concerns to the bureau that the intelligence hadn’t been fully vetted, and instead was just dismissed even though there was evidence of the fake licenses. "Thanks to the oversight work and partnership of Chairman Grassley, the FBI continues to provide unprecedented transparency at the people's Bureau,” Patel told Just the News in a statement. “To that end, we have located documents Chairman Grassley requested, which detail alarming allegations related to the 2020 U.S. election. https://redstate.com/jenniferoo/2025/06/17/fbi-declassifies-a-report-that-the-ccp-may-have-interfered-with-the-2020-election-n2190608
  10. This Democrat Senator Started Sobbing on the Senate Floor. It's a Publicity Stunt. 11. I won't post in that trash thread. UPDATE: WASHINGTON (AP) — U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem was taken to the hospital on Tuesday after experiencing an allergic reaction, her spokeswoman said. “She is alert and recovering,” said the statement from department spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin, who said the hospital treatment was out of an “abundance of caution.” Noem, 53, heads a sprawling department with roughly 260,000 employees handling immigration enforcement, airport security, disaster response and other matters. She has been among the more high-profile members of President Donald Trump’s cabinet, traveling extensively and maintaining a robust social media presence. https://apnews.com/article/kristi-noem-homeland-security-immigration-border-hospital-acab815b1bc9db61b1c90a1f17abeecb
  12. Common sense on the upswing ? Ezra Klein: Why the Left is Losing on Trans Issues John Sexton Ezra Klein has an interview with Rep. Sarah McBride, the first trans congressperson, about why Democrats are losing on these issues. I don't know who wrote the headline for this but it's currently titled "Sarah McBride on Why the Left Lost on Trans Rights." That seems a bit too final and definitive for me, or maybe just misleading. The left hasn't lost on trans rights, at least not for the most part. What they have done is lost the public's favor by doubling down on a few narrow issues where they have little support https://hotair.com/john-s-2/2025/06/17/ezra-klein-why-the-left-is-losing-on-trans-issues-n3803904
  13. DNC Shedding Public Employee Union Bosses by David Strom Sunday turned out to be the night of the long knives in the Democratic Party. Two top union leaders--from public employee unions, no less--have resigned from the Democratic National Committee. Randi Weingarten, colloquially known as "The Devil" in some circles, and the less well-known but nearly as important Lee Saunders of AFSCME have left the Democratic National Committee. (X) Both are leaving due to disputes with the relatively new Chair of the Democratic National Committee, Ken Martin, who until recently was the Chairman of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party {snip} Things are not all well at the DNC. As you recall, David Hogg was just kicked out of his position as Vice Chairman of the Party for being of the wrong gender as well as for wanting to drive the party further to the left by supporting leftist challengers to Democratic incumbents in safe seats. Weingarten supported that effort as well, suggesting she thinks that Martin is too conservative. https://hotair.com/david-strom/2025/06/16/dnc-shedding-public-employee-union-bosses-n3803838
  14. Look, I'm seeing this from the inside, and am admittedly biased towards our president (and my friend), but there's a lot of crazy stuff on social media, so I wanted to address some things directly on the Iran issue: First, POTUS has been amazingly consistent, over 10 years, that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. Over the last few months, he encouraged his foreign policy team to reach a deal with the Iranians to accomplish this goal. The president has made clear that Iran cannot have uranium enrichment. And he said repeatedly that this would happen one of two ways--the easy way or the "other" way. Second, I've seen a lot of confusion over the issue of "civilian nuclear power" and "uranium enrichment." These are distinct issues. Iran could have civilian nuclear power without enrichment, but Iran rejected that. Meanwhile, they've enriched uranium far above the level necessary for any civilian purpose. They've been found in violation of their non-proliferation obligations by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which is hardly a rightwing organization. It's one thing to want civilian nuclear energy. It's another thing to demand sophisticated enrichment capacity. And it's still another to cling to enrichment while simultaneously violating basic non-proliferation obligations and enriching right to the point of weapons-grade uranium.
  15. FBI Director Kash Patel dropped a bombshell Monday evening, handing Congress an intelligence report that raises serious questions about China’s role in the 2020 election. According to the report, Chinese operatives mass-produced counterfeit U.S. driver’s licenses as part of a broader scheme to flood the system with fake mail-in ballots—benefiting… you guessed it… Joe Biden. This wasn’t just foreign meddling—it was industrial-scale fraud, enabled by a broken mail-in voting system the Democrats have long been exploiting. The report confirms what many of us suspected all along: the integrity of the 2020 election wasn’t just compromised—it was hijacked. According to officials who spoke to Just the News, the reports—flagging potential foreign interference in the lead-up to the 2020 election—were neither corroborated nor seriously investigated. In fact, they were quietly pulled back from intelligence agencies right around the time then-FBI Director Chris Wray told Congress there were “no known plots” of foreign meddling. Convenient timing, isn’t it? While Trump was being accused of endangering democracy, the intelligence community was sitting on evidence that might have blown the lid off the election narrative—and they buried it. {snip} So let’s connect the dots. The FBI had credible intel in 2020—substantiated by actual evidence from Customs and Border Protection—that the Chinese Communist Party was working to rig the election with fake IDs and mail-in ballots. The allegations pointed directly to a scheme designed to help Joe Biden. And what did the bureau do? They buried it. Recalled the report. Pretended it never existed. While Democrats and the media were screaming about “foreign interference” in 2016, they had no interest in stopping it in 2020—because it worked in their favor. This wasn’t a failure of intelligence. It was a cover-up. And the consequences of that cover-up may have changed the course of American history. https://pjmedia.com/matt-margolis/2025/06/16/kash-patel-drops-2020-election-interference-evidence-bombshell-n4940866

  17. If the Iranian Regime Falls, What Will Follow? David Strom A sudden collapse of the Iranian regime looks like a real possibility. As far as I know, the Israelis have no plans to take out Iran's spiritual leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, but they are systematically dismantling the pillars of state power underneath him. The Ayatollahs are on the run, and the generation that put them into power doesn't have a ton of support from average Iranians. Persia in the 1960s and 1970s was a rapidly developing and Westernizing country. It was the regional power, balancing the less Western-friendly Arab states. The women were treated with dignity and enjoyed the same freedoms as Western women--videos of Iranians living their daily life were not very dissimilar to those from a European Mediterranean city. But the regime was toppled by Islamists who were very unhappy with the trend toward Westernization. An unholy alliance between communists and Islamists systematically undermined the regime, and when Jimmy Carter withdrew US support for the Shah due to his repression of the opposition, the regime fell. The Shah was right and Carter was wrong. We have been in a low-medium level conflict with Iran for over four decades, and millions died in the Iran-Iraq war because of Carter's foolishness. The Middle East was destabilized, and progress was set back decades. Still, the fall of the Ayatollahs and the reinstatement of a constitutional monarchy — a somewhat likely outcome — does not guarantee an Iran that returns to relative stability. Just as the fall of Gaddafi in Libya led to chaos, that is one possible outcome. The mechanisms of state power are being destroyed, and Iran's economy has been devastated by sanctions and now war. https://hotair.com/david-strom/2025/06/16/if-the-iranian-regime-falls-what-will-follow-n3803857
