  1. GREAT MOMENTS IN FACT-CHECKING: Update: “Meta has now removed the label and says it was a ‘false positive’ in their system.” The false positives only seem to go in one direction and get corrected only after the damage is done.
  2. He is still the President. Non-blindered people care. .
  3. He's fine. Biden says Speaker Johnson is ‘dead on arrival’ in confusing exchange with reporter. President Biden on Monday declared House Speaker Mike Johnson “dead on arrival” when asked how he planned to get his new rules for the Supreme Court through a Republican-run Congress. Shortly after arriving in Austin, Texas, where Mr. Biden is scheduled to speak about his plan to overhaul the court, he took a few questions when the odd exchange took place. Mr. Johnson, Louisiana Republican, said on social media Mr. Biden’s proposed reforms would be “dead on arrival” in the House. When asked about the speaker’s comments, Mr. Biden responded, “That’s what he is.” The confused reporter, seeking clarification, said, “He is?” “He is dead on arrival,” Mr. Biden responded. https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2024/jul/29/biden-says-speaker-mike-johnson-is-dead-on-arrival/ Of course, the DNC-MSM would have be pulling all of the fire alarms if President Trump said that, but once again, what James Lileks once accurately dubbed “the soft bigotry of Joe expectations” strikes again.
  4. Free speech. . . . . . . . Right ? It appears this video has been taken down from some tweets, so we have added another tweet that captures Leal's celebration below.] https://twitchy.com/grateful-calvin/2024/07/29/brazilian-skateboarder-shares-profound-message-via-sign-language-after-winning-olympic-bronze-n2398978
  5. Venezuelan Dictator Nicolas Maduro was declared the "winner" of the presidential election by the nation's election council on Monday morning. That came after exit polls showed him losing by as much as 30 points. Reports of Maduro's armed thugs closing down polling sites and stealing ballot boxes were prevalent throughout the process, all but confirming that the election was indeed stolen. What happens next is clear. Maduro will strengthen his grip on power instead of stepping down peacefully. As the saying goes, you can vote your way into socialism, but you have to shoot your way out. While this outcome was apparent to anyone with any common sense, Kamala Harris and Joe Biden had different ideas. While the press will no doubt bury the story, the current administration was at the center of this fraudulent election, having handed Maduro sanctions relief in exchange for "free and fair elections." https://redstate.com/bonchie/2024/07/29/venezuelas-election-was-just-stolen-and-biden-harris-were-at-the-center-of-it-n2177490 .
  6. You really can’t hate the Washington Post’s coverage of the Middle East enough. The Post did not have a headline yesterday about the murder of 12 kids on a soccer field by Hezbollah. Today it has this headline, focusing on Israel’s “response,” with a picture that implies if you don’t look carefully that Israel killed the kid in the photo. Meanwhile, even though every Western government acknowledges that Hezbollah was responsible for the rocket that killed the kids playing soccer, the Post caption suggests that we might want to believe the Iranian-backed terrorist group’s denial. https://instapundit.com/663693/
  7. Harris Says 'I Will Not Be Silent' About Dead Kids in Gaza War — Unless They're Israeli Kids STEPHEN GREEN Democrat presidential nominee-apparent Kamala Harris said last week she "will not be silent" about suffering children in Gaza, while practically ordering Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to stand down in a one-sided ceasefire deal with Hamas terrorists. That was Thursday. On Saturday, in the north of Israel, a Hezbollah rocket launched from Lebanon struck a sports complex filled with children playing soccer, killing 11 children and wounding about 30 more. According to IDF spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari, it was the deadliest single attack on Israel since the Hamas terror invasion of Oct. 7 that left 1,200 dead and more than 200 kidnapped. The silence from Kamala Harris is deafening. Her national security adviser, Phil Gordon, released a brief written statement on Sunday, saying, "Israel continues to face severe threats to its security, and the Vice President’s support for Israel’s security is ironclad." Gordon concluded with yet another reminder that Harris prefers to end the war diplomatically, even though Hamas would never uphold such a bargain. "The U.S. will continue working on a diplomatic solution to end all attacks once and for all, and allow citizens on both sides of the border to safely return home." https://pjmedia.com/vodkapundit/2024/07/29/harris-says-i-will-not-be-silent-about-dead-kids-in-gaza-war-unless-theyre-israeli-kids-n4931148
