  2. MUST BE AN ELECTION COMING. After Months of Gaslighting on the Economy, Biden FINALLY Has a Plan to Tackle Grocery Prices Amy Curtis 'The economy is fine!' 'Wages are up!' 'Inflation is down!' If all of those things sound familiar, it's because that's what the Biden administration has been telling us for years. They bragged about saving you a whopping 16 cents on your Fourth of July dinner a couple of years ago and bragged about cheaper Thanksgiving dinners, too. Now -- four months from the election -- Biden finally admits grocery prices are still too high. This is something 99.9% of Americans could've told you, and something that pops up as a major concern in polling. And here's Biden's plan to 'fix' this problem: Got that? Sue businesses for price gouging. Bully grocery stores into lowering prices. Spend more money on food stamps (which will make prices go up as demand goes up). Brilliant! https://twitchy.com/amy-curtis/2024/07/03/biden-grocery-prices-n2397944 C'mon November !! .
  3. Outside of a smattering of posts and reposts about Biden's awful performance and what it signifies, the bulk of his Truth Social account has been focused on the SCOTUS immunity ruling and other matters related to the left's lawfare campaigns against him. In other words, Trump seems to (mostly) be observing the "silence is golden" rule on the topic - for now, at least, an unusual tactic for him but one that is earning plaudits: https://redstate.com/sister-toldjah/2024/07/03/gotta-love-it-trump-takes-unusual-approach-to-dem-implosion-over-biden-and-its-driving-the-msm-nuts-n2176320
  4. The left loves the “imperial presidency” — as long as they’re the party presiding over the empire.
  5. Transcript of the ad: "Nearly 250 years ago America was founded in defiance of a king under the belief that no one is above the law, not even the President. Until now. The same Trump Supreme Court that overturned Roe v. Wade ruled that the President can ignore the law even to commit a crime because Donald Trump asked them to. He's already led an insurrection and threatened to be a dictator on Day One. Donald Trump can never hold this office again." But the Supreme Court didn't say "the President can ignore the law." The Biden Administration just got hemmed in by law — the law that prevents it from criminally prosecuting the former President, waging lawfare to fight a political rival. And the Supreme Court only protected the President from criminal prosecution for his official acts. Where the President violates the law, he's subject to impeachment. You can't impeach a King. And it's funny how that ad refers to revolution twice, first to uphold it as a glorious ideal — "America was founded in defiance of a king" — and then to denounce it — "He's already led an insurrection." But the ad isn't about coherence. It's a montage of fear. https://althouse.blogspot.com/2024/07/president-biden-acknowledged-at.html

  7. 🦫 🦫 🦫 🦫 🦫 🦫 Okay, back to the thread. Yes, the Supreme Court got it right By Randy White On July 1, 2024, the Supreme Court issued a landmark decision affirming that presidents have immunity for official acts carried out during their tenure, extending the precedent set in Nixon v. Fitzgerald. This ruling not only solidifies immunity for clearly defined official acts, but also provides presumptive immunity for actions that may be questionably official. Although presidential immunity was previously established in civil contexts, this decision marks a significant extension to criminal prosecution for official acts. The Context and Implications The necessity of this ruling becomes evident when considering the current politically charged environment in the United States. Over the past few election cycles, the atmosphere has been rife with accusations and investigations, often driven by political disagreements rather than clear legal violations. In such a climate, the ability of a president to perform their duties without constant legal threats is crucial. Preserving the Balance of Power For the presidency to function as a separate but equal branch of government, the president must not be perpetually entangled in legal defenses for every official act. If a president could be held civilly or criminally liable for actions taken in his official capacity, his office would be unduly constrained by the Judicial and Legislative Branches. This would effectively reduce the president to a servant of Congress or the district courts — a situation clearly not intended by the framers of the Constitution. The Irony of Opposition Justices Sotomayor, Kagan, and Jackson dissented, arguing that this ruling places the president above the law. This critique is steeped in irony. The Supreme Court itself enjoys a significant degree of judicial immunity, arguably more than any other branch of government. Though judicial immunity is different in scope and nature from presidential immunity, it is a well established concept. For example, the Court cannot be held liable for overstepping its bounds into legislative duties, illustrating a double-standard in the dissenters’ argument. Avoiding a Paralyzed Presidency Without this ruling, a president serving in a politically volatile environment would constantly hesitate in performing his duties. He would need to consult with numerous government lawyers before making decisions out of fear of future criminal prosecution. This situation could inhibit executive action and impede effective governance. Additionally, presidents who live many years after their term might find that societal norms have changed. An act once deemed appropriate might later be viewed as wildly inappropriate. Thus, adjudication after the fact could put every president at risk of prosecution years or even decades after his term. Constitutional Safeguards The Constitution already provides mechanisms for addressing presidential misconduct, so to argue that a president is “above the law” is a red herring. If a president commits “high crimes” or “misdemeanors,” the impeachment process is available. Additionally, if a president acts outside constitutional bounds, the Supreme Court can declare such actions unconstitutional. These safeguards ensure that the president is held accountable without compromising the functionality of the Executive Branch. Conclusion The ruling in Trump v. United States was not only appropriate, but necessary. Historically, a degree of civility and decency in the judicial system made such explicit rulings unnecessary. However, the current trend of weaponizing the judicial system for political purposes by district attorneys underscores the need for this affirmation of presidential immunity. By ensuring that the president can perform his duties without undue legal hindrances, the Supreme Court has upheld the balance of power envisioned by the framers of the Constitution. https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2024/07/yes_the_supreme_court_got_it_right.html .
  8. Andrew Weissmann Apoplectic at Immunity Decision – SCOTUS: The President IS The Executive Branch The tip of the Lawfare spear consists of a small group of former DOJ attorneys and Main Justice leftists who helped AG Eric Holder create the DOJ National Security Division (DOJ-NSD) when it was formed on behalf of President Obama. Lawfare, writ large, are a tribe of leftists who strategically weaponize the justice systems within the DOJ. They are also the main guides, strategists and legal analysts who previously used Robert Mueller and currently use Jack Smith. The tribe is led by a trio of fellow travelers: Mary McCord, Norm Eisen and Andrew Weissmann. Everything we have watched unfold, from using “The Logan Act” against Michael Flynn, to using “Obstruction” against President Trump and the “Insurrection Act” against J-6 targets, comes from this small crew of effeminate leftists. The similarity of the behavioral proclivities is an outcome of their tribal synchronicity. Much like the McClintock or Wellesley effect, when you isolate Lawfare individuals into a small tribe, their collective behaviors replicate. These travelers were incubated in the DOJ-NSD. This crew of Brookings funded Lawfare ideologues was also described by Christine Blasey-Ford as her “Beach Friends.” Since leaving official government positions, the main trio of Lawfare leadership congregate professionally on MSNBC and feed the leftists in media and politics from their primary cable outlet. The alarming aspect to the tribal Lawfare approach, is to realize how this essentially very small group of former DOJ-NSD lawyers commands such an oversized influence on our national politics. https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2024/07/02/jack-smith-lawfare-strategist-andrew-weissmann-apoplectic-at-immunity-decision-the-president-is-the-executive-branch/
  9. So simplistic. Having been in Healthcare for over 40 years, and sadly having had a patient miscarry right into my hands once, I can tell, you the best thing for the health of the Mom is having an appropriate level of care !! But you keep putting your Trump hatred above common sense. No one expects anything else.
  10. For the 100th time, they were at an Urgent Care center, unable to properly treat an impending miscarriage. They were correct in sending her to a hospital. They weren't "refused care"

  12. Well duh. Ukraine to be told it is too corrupt to join NATO by Joe Barnes Ukraine will be told it is currently too corrupt to join Nato, in a major blow to Volodymyr Zelensky. The alliance will request “additional steps” from Kyiv before membership talks progress, a senior official in the US State Department said. The position will be set out in writing in the Nato communique to be signed at the alliance’s annual summit on July 9. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/ukraine-to-be-told-it-is-too-corrupt-to-join-nato/ar-BB1pi74i

In his second term President Trump will, -- Nationalize the Disney Corporation, and personally repair the Star Wars and Marvel franchises. -- Reconcile Virginia and West Virginia, while splitting Coastal California and the rest into two states. -- Outlaw the NFL from playing outside the continental U.S. .
  14. Lesbian Duo Baffled as to Why Muslim Gang Would Pummel Them. Who Wants to Break the News? A gang of "Middle Eastern men" beat the potato salad out of a lesbian couple in Halifax, Nova Scotia, leaving the two zamis to wonder why the men would treat the ladies so viciously, especially considering it was during Pride month. Emma MacLean, one of the women assaulted, posted to Facebook that there were between seven and ten men, all between the ages of 18 and 25 and "believed to be from Syria." "I'm terrified to go downtown again in Halifax," MacLean told CTV news. "I just feel like it's so out of your control on what could happen. It's overwhelming. I didn't expect something like this to happen, especially with it happening during pride month as well." Whereas I certainly do not condone violence, especially when a group of animals beat two women, one has to wonder how a gay woman "didn't expect something like this to happen, especially with it happening during pride month as well." For starters, these men are likely Muslims, and they hate gay people. Also, if MacLean thought Muslims give a crap about Pride month, she's been subjected to some pretty dangerous social conditioning. https://pjmedia.com/kevindowneyjr/2024/07/02/lesbian-duo-baffled-as-to-why-muslim-gang-would-pummel-them-during-pride-month-who-wants-to-tell-them-n4930353
  15. Sorry Joe. Federal Court Halts Biden Administration's Operation of Title IX Rule President Joe Biden's rewrite of Title IX arrived in April, replacing "sex" with "gender identity." The Independent Women's Forum immediately filed a lawsuit, and the governors of Mississippi and Arkansas issued executive orders defying the change. We're just getting word that a federal court has halted operation of the Title IX rule: https://twitchy.com/brettt/2024/07/02/federal-court-halts-biden-administrations-operation-of-title-ix-rule-n2397936
