  1. Colorado Gov. Jared Polis dismisses migrant gang takeover of apartments as ‘imagination’ — despite video, mayor confirming truth by Jennie Taer Colorado Gov. Jared Polis dismissed anger over Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua taking over apartment buildings in the Denver suburb of Aurora, calling it “imagination” — despite video footage, police reports and the city’s mayor confirming it’s happening. Polis’ press office offered the snarky statement Wednesday night in response to Aurora City Councilwoman Danielle Jurinsky — who told The Post the gang’s takeovers are tied to his policies.[Snip]Fox Denver aired surveillance video, which showed an armed gang of men — later confirmed by cops as suspected members of Tren de Aragua https://nypost.com/2024/08/29/us-news/colorado-gov-jared-polis-dismisses-migrant-gang-takeover-of-aurora-apartments-as-imagination/ .
  2. Kamala's First 'Interview' Was the Dumpster Fire You Expected It Would Be by Matt Margolis Did you catch Kamala Harris's first "interview" as the Democratic Party nominee for president? It was pretty much everything you'd expect from an interview conducted by CNN. Lots of softball questions, lots of word salad responses. CNN anchor Dana Bash actually asked some decent questions, but what really struck me about the interview was that Kamala Harris, more often than not, avoided answering most of the questions, and Bash didn't seem to be concerned with getting an actual answer. You knew things were going to be bad when Harris really struggled to give a coherent answer to the cliché question about what she would do on "on day one." https://pjmedia.com/matt-margolis/2024/08/29/kamalas-first-interview-was-the-dumpster-fire-you-expected-it-would-be-n4932106#google_vignette .

  7. Divertive attempt by Frankie. What a surprise. Didn't want you to concentrate on what Gov. Walz's policy does. . . . . .. . typical. Under Tim Walz, Minnesota Banned Christian Teachers https://thefederalist.com/2024/08/27/under-tim-walz-minnesota-banned-christians-from-teaching-in-public-schools/ Minnesota’s teacher requirements therefore force Christians, Muslims, Jews, and adherents to other religions to violate their faith and endanger their hopes of eternal life in order to work in government-run schools. Forcing people to testify to beliefs they don’t hold, often called compelled speech, is clearly unconstitutional, he said: “They’re essentially requiring people to affirm these ideas that they don’t really believe, in many cases, as a condition of being a public school teacher or being part of a program to be a licensed public school teacher. You can’t force that kind of speech, you can’t require adherence to ideas that aren’t believed.” THIS was the important part of the article. While Frankie chose to highlight the author's inclusion of eternal life and push his own bias as the actual outcome. MEANWHILE, back at the topic. People who actually know him are appalled by his lies.

UNEXPECTEDLY: Shake Shack to shut 6 California locations, including 5 in LA, after state’s $20 minimum wage hike. “It’s the first time the chain will close restaurants for purposes that were not construction-related, a spokesperson told trade publication Restaurant Business, which first reported the news.” https://nypost.com/2024/08/28/business/shake-shack-to-shut-6-california-locations-after-states-20-minimum-wage-hike/
