  1. Joe Biden Just Handed Donald Trump the Mother of All Mandates By Teri Christoph FTA: Joe Biden's pardoning of his son, Hunter Biden, further diminishes an already-neutered Democrat Party and empowers Donald Trump to an extent we probably haven't seen in modern times. No more can Democrats cry, "No one is above the law!" because their "big guy" just blew that idea to smithereens. Even better, Joe Biden and his fiercely lying press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, have just confirmed that the Department of Justice is corrupt. They really couldn't have done a better job rolling out the red carpet for Trump 2.0, could they? Oh, and all that talk by the left that scary Donald Trump will break decades of "norms?" LOL. Consider them all broken beyond repair, burnt to the ground by and alongside the Democrat Party. Team Trump has basically just been given carte blanche to do what they were elected to do. Joe Biden's pardoning of his convict son, Hunter, was the own goal the Democrats didn't really need at this point, but Joe just couldn't help himself. He may well have, at some point, intended to actually let Hunter suffer the consequences of his actions, but post-election Biden -- who is the lamest of lame ducks -- couldn't care less at this point. His own party gave him the shaft, and he was more than happy to return fire in kind. https://redstate.com/terichristoph/2024/12/02/joe-biden-just-handed-donald-trump-the-mother-of-all-mandates-n2182707
  2. Democrats Have an Arrogance Problem By Ward Clark FTA: This is known as belaboring the obvious. But we might ask why this is the case. Republicans, conservatives, and libertarians are far more likely to be willing to enter into a calm, rational discussion. When those of us on the right of the center disagree, we tend not to take it as personally as the left does. The answer may be found in a famous quote from the late, great Dr. Charles Krauthammer: For the "woke" left, the certainty of their righteousness is overwhelming. The "woke" left is convinced that people have a right to free health care and forgiveness of their student loans, the right to push transgender treatments on children, the right to have Drag Queen Story Hours in elementary schools, and they will not consider arguments to the contrary. This comes back to Dr. Krauthammer's quote. Conservatives may think liberals are stupid, but as long as the liberals aren't actually mentally impaired, they may be open to an honest discussion based on facts. Conservatives and libertarians, the people to the right of center, generally don't naturally start off being uncivil, as doing so would make the listener unreceptive. Conservatives tend to see civility as a virtue. But liberals, with their reflexive belief that conservatives are evil, react with arrogant condescension, and given their assumption, why wouldn't they? Liberals see incivility as a virtue when dealing with those whom they sophomorically see as evil. It's an interesting phenomenon and explains a lot about the state of political discourse in the United States today. https://redstate.com/wardclark/2024/12/03/democrats-have-an-arrogance-problem-n2182737
  3. When Your Dog Makes a Mess... By Dan Zoernig Ever had a puppy? Did it ever destroy a pillow or piece of furniture and leave you with a huge mess? Sure. Probably. At first, you get angry for a minute. Maybe you stayed angry for an hour. Or a week. But then, after you calmed down for a bit, you mellowed out because you know that's just what puppies do. They can't help it. They don't hate you. They just cannot fight their nature. This past weekend, Joe Biden left us a big mess. This past weekend, he issued a very carefully-worded pardon for his convicted criminal baby boy. Even after he repeatedly stated that he would not. He lied. But he can't help it. It's his nature. It's just what he does. These people have no conscience. But as Biden happily leaves the White House and totters blissfully into full-blown senility, he doesn't care. Now, this came as no surprise to anyone. Not even KJP, who keeps a red binder marked "Break Glass in Case of Emergency" hidden behind her trash can for the inevitable announcement over which she will be thoroughly questioned. "Karine, did the president lie to the American people?" "No, Peter [Doocy]. As we've stated before and said many times, the president loves his son very much and simply wants what's best for him...Blah, Blah, Blah...and Blah." So Biden lied a bunch of times over the course of the past year, saying he would not pardon Hunter Biden. Now he's done it. And, of course, it will never get the coverage it deserves. Anyway...Biden pardoned Hunter. But it was a very unusual pardon. If you read it, there are two things that might jump out at you. The first is his claim that his boy was unjustly pursued by law enforcement. But...wasn't that your own DOJ, Joe? Why would they do that? Perhaps because the matter garnered enough attention from "right-wing media" that it would have been impossible to ignore, so they had to do it? Knowing full well that if dragged out long enough, you could pardon him before he had to spend a day in jail? Let's see...who else has been unjustly pursued by Joe Biden's DOJ? Donald Trump? A lot of January 6 people who are still sitting in jail awaiting their right to a quick and speedy trial? I don't think Joe is going to pardon them for similar reasons. I think his convictions are self-serving and situational. Second, the Biden Pardon covers Hunter from 10 years ago up until December 1, 2024, for anything and everything he did or may have done, or thought of, or may not have thought of during that time period. Gee, now, why would he do that? I'll leave it up to you to draw your own conclusions. I bet they will hit you pretty fast, though. But fear not. There is a silver lining. {snip} Silly people, read the room. You lost the election. Badly. The electoral vote, the popular vote, and the swing state vote. Get a clue. America doesn't believe you anymore. They're not eating your secret sauce. Your DEI, your lawfare, your lies to our faces, and especially your elitist double standards are now showcased spectacularly by the Biden pardon as it waves gloriously in the breeze like a gay pride flag in Kabul. Now, Progressives might be smart enough to realize this intellectually, but their hearts won't let them accept it. They will keep pressing their ideas and malign anyone who disagrees. They won't criticize the Biden pardon, and they won't forsake the party. Like untrained puppies, they'll continue to make a mess because they can't help it. They cannot fight the urge. It's just what they do. Hypocrisy and double standards forever memorialized in the Congressional Record and in the history books. Thanks, Grandpa Joe. Thank you for this gift — this marvelous mess you've left us with. You've just given us all a lot to think about over the next few election cycles. https://redstate.com/dan-zoernig/2024/12/03/when-your-dog-makes-a-mess-n2182698
  4. Smearing Pete Hegseth Sohrab Ahmari An essay published by The New Yorker on Monday claims that Pete Hegseth, President-elect Donald Trump’s nominee for secretary of defense, “was forced to step down” as president of the advocacy group Concerned Veterans for America amid “serious allegations” of misconduct. We’re talking manhandling strippers, public drunkenness, lewd and obnoxious behavior—the kind of thing that would raise questions about someone slated to lead the Pentagon. Except: In interviews with me, two former senior leaders of CVA have denied the “whistleblower” allegations against Hegseth. They insisted that he left the organization voluntarily, without any pressure bearing down on him from its funders. And unlike The New Yorker’s sources, one of Hegseth’s CVA defenders spoke on the record. “I was there for most of those alleged incidents, and this stuff is just complete fabrications,” said Sean Parnell, a former US Army airborne ranger who retired as a captain with a Purple Heart and two Bronze Stars and served as a senior adviser at CVA during Hegseth’s tenure. Parnell asserted that the “whistleblower” claims had come from “people who were let go as the organization was growing, who weren’t fulfilling their duties. They just weren’t.” “All false,” said a veteran of the Global War on Terror who served alongside Hegseth in a senior role at CVA. “These were false allegations made by a group of disgruntled employees fired by Pete.” In some cases, the CVA veteran said, the complainants attributed their own carousing to Hegseth. Parnell and the second CVA veteran also rejected The New Yorker’s claim that Hegseth was forced out of his position at the organization owing to personal misconduct. “That couldn’t be further from the truth,” said Parnell. “This was right before President Trump began his first term. Pete and I were on the media all the time, talking about national security and foreign policy. And he and I became big believers in Trump’s vision of foreign policy. The funders of that organization [CVA] didn’t necessarily believe that. And because of that policy difference, over what America’s foreign and national-security policy should be, Pete parted ways. It was 100 percent professional, political differences.” The New Yorker also suggested that Hegseth’s departure from CVA was abrupt, leaving him with no immediate job options. This also wasn’t true, Parnell told me. “He was a Fox News contributor,” he noted, and in negotiations to become a full-time anchor at the cable network. “ABC was interested in him, as well, if memory serves. So it wasn’t just Fox.” The second CVA veteran echoed this characterization: “He left because his role on Fox was growing and he had a book deal. ‘Pete didn’t have another job lined up,’ the piece says, but very shortly after he left, he became a full-time Fox & Friends host.” https://www.compactmag.com/article/smearing-pete-hegseth/
  5. BIDEN’S TWO-TIERED JUSTICE:
  6. Simpleton: But Trump won, that proves there's no election fraud. .
  7. Back to the thread. . . . . . . "President Biden and President-elect Donald J. Trump now agree on one thing: The Biden Justice Department has been politicized." Thanks to the NYT for stating the obvious point obviously. The article, by Peter Baker, is "In Pardoning His Son, Biden Echoes Some of Trump’s Complaints/President Biden complained about selective prosecution and political pressure in a system he has spent his public life defending." https://www.nytimes.com/2024/12/01/us/politics/biden-hunter-pardon-politics.html?smid=url-share .
  8. Democrats need to figure out if they ought to trash Biden for pardoning Hunter and build the strongest foundation for attacking Trump over the pardoning spree he's about to launch. Yes, yes, of course, you Democrats can pose fussily and piously making distinctions between all the crimes Hunter may have done in the last 10 years and anything attributable to Trump's pardonees. Go ahead. Try. I see your efforts. They're so self-serving they underscore the essential problem: political favoritism. Fine distinctions are confusing and hypocritical. You're going to say violating gun laws doesn't really matter? Then how are you going to pull off the call for more gun laws, which you know you're going to need for your usual political theater on the occasion of the next massacre? You're going to say a rich man's tax evasion is a measly offense and still hope to see us to respond to your cries for severe taxing of the rich? No, no, your best move is to trash Biden. You already kicked him to the curb last July. No one remembers the show of honoring his statesmanship you staged at the Democratic National Convention. You've already lost the election and suffered a complete breakdown of confidence in your party. You need to rebuild the foundation. There's nothing to keep. Your party is a teardown. Trump is about to take over and make a show out of throwing light on the deep state. Don't condemn yourself to defending every awful thing that may come out — which may include corrupt dealings with Ukraine and China that were blithely swept into Biden's pardon of Hunter. Trash Joe Biden now to position yourself to seem to welcome all this forthcoming bad news and to offer yourself as the staunch new party of reform. 9. Biden Pardons Hunter on All Charges and Anything Else He Might Have Committed Since 2014 by Mary Chastain President Joe Biden pardoned his son Hunter despite the White House saying over and over he would not do it. The pardon includes charges Hunter faced or might have faced from January 1, 2014, through December 1, 2024. Yes, ten years. Absolute insanity. That means anything else that pops up in that time period doesn’t count. Hunter cannot face any charges. Hunter pleaded guilty to tax evasion. He was going to face sentencing on December 16 for lying on a federal form by saying he was not using drugs or addicted to drugs when trying to buy a gun. https://legalinsurrection.com/2024/12/biden-pardons-hunter-biden/
