  1. No! I would not because no matter how good he may be projected to be you need other players at other positions that are projected to be stars at their positions and you will lose out on picking those players. Example DT, S, WR ETC. Plus add to that - the kid might get hurt and never live up to his projection. Add to all of this a possible 3rd or 4th rounder that might be a better player. I never fall in love with just one player in a draft. There is too much talent in all the rounds to feel that just one player is what makes or breaks a draft. Remember Ricky Williams???
  2. IMO- If we trade we trade back not forward. We are not one player away from being a SB team so why would we trade up to get just one player?
  3. I don't have a problem with his size but I do have a problem with the Miami program in general. They send out a lot of underachievers from that program. Guys who show up for the 1 st year and last year of their contracts and get hurt alot in between. Not much heart comming from that program a lot of flash but not much action. IMO
  4. What makes you think 1st round? Is it a bad WR class??
  5. I hate most of the Bills picks but it is interesting! http://www.thehuddlereport.com/NickelPackage/dm2.9.shtml I hope this link works alright.
  6. Some of you guys don't read very well. I know what school Rivers came from you *##&*T. That is not the friggin point. Read the friggin post. Start from the beginning. He said that Rivers was one of the best COLLEGE QB's he had ever seen. I use the comparison about other GOOD COLLEGE QB's . I happen to use FSU as an example of good college QB's that people have ever seen and how that relates to how well a player will do or won't do in the NFL. I'm so sick and tired of people missing the point about an aurgument and talking about something that has nothing to do with the original post. Read the frigggin post. Who cares about FSU alumni crap. That's not what the post is about.
  7. Excuse me but they all were some of the best college QB's that you have ever seen. And what part of the Draft were they drafted in? Rivers will be no better then they are or were. His father did a good job of teaching this kid how to fool the scouts and they fell for it. You are correct Rivers will be an excellent backup QB in the NFL. I'm just not sure that means that he should have been the first pick of the draft. Crazy me! I think a backup QB should be picked on the second day of the draft.
  8. Oh! Another one of those "if you haven't done it- then you can't know what you are talking about guys" So I guess we should all just listen to the "Experts" So because I played I now know more then you? Did you ever listen to Joe Theisman? He has to be the dumest man ever to play the game. It also means that all the stars who have played the game are all going to be great coaches too. Just because you disagree does not mean you are right. Just because you played the game does not mean you know how to play the game. Just because you played the game or coached the game does not mean you know any more about the game then the rest of us. There are a lot of smart people in this world and Football is not that complicated a game. The Steelers scored on a play in the Super Bowl that High School teams use all the time. It was a simple trap play. How difficult could the game really be?
  9. You are right! One of the Best COLLEGE QB's you have ever seen. As far as him being a PRO QB he hasn't got a pray with a chicken arm like he has. I just pray some team allows him to be a starter. He will be just as good as all those Florida St QB's who have been so successful. What a joke he is.
  10. I would imagine that if this guy was Rivers QB coach that he jump at the chance to get Brees not Rivers - because he would know for a fact that Rivers is all show and nothing else.
  11. And I say you go with the older guy and force the younger guy to want it first. You don't hand it to the younger guy just because he has better athletic talent. NFL QB is mostly mental. That's like saying let's sit down Peyton Manning because JP has better athletic talent and Peyton is over 30 yrs old. Now before you jump I know Holcome is no Peyton Manning but JP at this stage is not a better QB then Holcome is and until he proves it in practice that he is- he sits. That's just my strong opinion!
  12. Your right. JP just strikes me as the type of kid that does not live up to his abilities and when he doesn't he is able to fool people into think that it is their fault not his. But you are right- what was he surpose to do?
  13. It's total up to JP now. No more mommy apron strings to guide him. He either does it and shows everybody or he becomes a failure. It's time to grow up JP you can't talk your way on to the field any longer. You have to prove you belong.
  14. Yea lets take all of their injured old players so that they can be injured and old for us.
  15. You must have been! How else could you have known?
  16. Dam Wilson! I'm sick of him thinking that he owns the team. It's starting to get on my nerves!!!!
  17. No O-line means no QB would have done well with our team. Look at the Packers. No O-line means no O-line. So drafting Rothlesburger would not have made a difference.
  18. The revolving Refrigerator was my Favorite and the --- open for business/ now your closed for business.
  19. Nothing to discuss! Ms. Rice is qualified to do what ever she would like to do. I have no doubt that she would have the respect of the owners and we all know that she is smarter then most of them if not all of them.
  20. He has to have posession in bounds first then. Then he can go outside of the pilan. Two feet in bounds then he can jump in the air and cross the pilan first before he lands out of bounds. He never established possession first.
  21. They have always sucked in person. A good studio band but everybody was always too Stoned to know the difference. They sound the same to me in person as they have always sounded. I guess I just neve did enough drugs to enjoy them.
  22. I'm not bitter. If the TE makes a couple of more catches like he should have we would never be talking about this. Seattle did not play good enough and the Steelers played just good enough to win. It's not like the bad calls all came in a row and at the end of the game. Good teams over come bad calls. It happens all the time. By the way-- No I'm not a Steelers fan!
