  1. He had tremendous talent with the Saints and did nothing. All he did was whine this year and never once showed any leadership skills. He is a pitiful Head Coach and no way should he come to Buffalo as a Head Coach. I don't know how or why anybody in the press at this point would have a clue if the Bills are interested in him. MM has not even walked out the door. The intrest in Haslett is a bogus report.
  2. What makes you think that the Bills have soured on Moulds. The guy had an aurgument with a coach about play calling. You think that hasn't happened before? This is not about money. Moulds in the past signed for less money to stay with the Bills. The public would have never known about this situation if Moulds had not been suspended. Not like TO who held press meetings all over the place. This is not an issue unless Moulds wants double what he is worth in the open market. Besides you don't trade a player who has had a history of not being a problem because he had one on he field behind the scene situation. After the suspension he came back and played hard etc. Why is it we are ready to brand any player that has a problem with a coach as an outlaw who we need to get rid of. Sam Adams had some problems the last two years and I don't see anybody saying we should get rid of him on this board. Besides I believe the coach that Moulds had a play calling problem with (Clements) has been let go. Doesn't that prove Moulds point?
  3. The problem is that you have to have a willing partner who wants to trade with you. If you don't then you must pick. If you think that a player can start right a way and do a solid or good job then you pick them. The money is the money. Both players you talked about can start to do a good job IMO. Pass rushers and Left Tackles that can start are impact players and not players that you pick latter on because--- they won't be there! Kiwanuka will grow bigger and get stronger. So will Ferguson. Now the question is charector. Will they show up for work and improve if you hand them 10 million dollars??? I think they both will. But we shall see!
  4. Mario Williams is talented but young and imature. He plays when he wants too. Mathias has almost as much talent but will handle the next level much better then Mario. (IMO) I also like The Brick but I believe there are a number of LT's and OT's in this draft that we can pick up later. We have four picks in the first day and if we get compensation for Pat Williams we just might have five picks in the first day. We should be able to get at least two studs for the O-line and a safety or CB.
  5. Dam you guys are pitiful. I'll give one thing -- you are experts at missing the point of a post!
  6. Now that opinon I can respect. The original post was more of a tough in cheek post. It was to remind people that Marv was a ST coach and did pretty good. I was just trying to make everybody understand that there is no recipe for finding a good coach. Its a crap shoot. But not to promote somebody on your own staff because he does too good a job at what he does know---- just made no sense to me.
  7. How do you think that people get promoted??? Keep him where he is because he is doing a good job? So you don't reward a person on your own staff that has done an excelent job? Man I would hate to live in your world. You know if you just said that you don't think that April is Head Coach material - I can respect that but to say that you would not promote him becasue he is too good at doing the job that he is in right now! I just don't get. I think we call that living in fear! All I can say is that's a bunch of nonsense.
  8. I guess if we all thought like you then nobody gets promoted for doing a good job! What makes you so sure that both jobs would then be weakened? Why can't both jobs wind up being strengthened ? April has done a hell of a job and we all know that HC is a people skills job not an X & O's job. That's why you have a OC and DC.
  9. What the heck, He's as good a choice as anybody else. Great people skills, been around the league so he should know a lot of other coaches. The players love him and play hard for him. What the Heck it's as good a choice as Williams or Malarky!
  10. He has always done this retire before he gets fired. Parcells does the same thing. Doesn't want to put on the resume' that he got fired. It's as simple as that. He is a fake. Always has been. Is he a good coach? To be honest I don't know what a good coach is anymore. So many getting fired just for the sake of getting fired. I mean look at Edwards with the Jets. This guy does nothing but sprout religion and other teams want him to coach thier teams- when he hasn't done that good a job with the Jets. Look at Tony Dungy bombs out in Tampa Bay but is considered a god with the Colts and he really hasn't done that much with them. No more then with the Buccs. I say Hire Bobby April as the next HC of the Bills. Might as well try some one new and give them a chance. After Williams and Malarky what have we got to loose?
  11. I don't think it takes brains to understand that 1st - not eveybody on that list would even want to sign with us. 2nd - that it would be almost imposible cap wise and 3rd - not everybody in free agency signed by a team is successful with the new team that signs them. In fact getting better by free agency is as much of a crap shoot as the draft. History tells us that it does not work out. You have to coach better and draft better. It's up to the bulk of the players that are here now to play better and the coaches to coach better. A few free agent signings is not a bad idea and could help but you really have to pick the right guys. Personally for me moving Gandy to LG, Petterson to LT and finding a RT in free agency or on the team would be better moves for the O-line then bringing in almost a whole new line. IMO
  12. Don't forget Tenn third round pick for Travis Henry
  13. One has nothing to do with the other. That's like saying you can't get a better 1st rounder out of a team that is not playing for a National title. Texas has a bunch of talented players that are babies. Just like Miami. Drafting these players from both of these programs ,,, well lets just say you better do more then your homework because these guys don't show up for the whole contract and charector is a big question mark. Still all that being said that does not mean that you can't find an excelent player. It just means you had better do your homework real good.
  14. For every Mike Williams there is a Nathan Vasher. Do your homework and you can get a good player in a bad program. Michael Huff is a good player in a bad program IMO
  15. Let's not jump too quick. If we draft after the top ten we could pick an impact player of need in Michael Huff - Texas. A CB/S That is a hell of a player and a position of need for us. Justin Bannon and Tim Anderson improved as the year went on. Plus there are a lot of run stuffing DT's in this draft and a whole lot of pass rushers. There is not much in the DB area. We need safeties bad. Impact safeties!
