  1. Guys, just because a player plays one position in college doesn't mean he is going to impact at that position in the NFL. Moats was a DE, right? I'm not a big Sheppard fan, I like him on the outside because I don't think he takes good angles and hesitates too much and gets caught up in the wash. On the outside he doesn't have to worry about angles and its more obvious when a play is coming at him. He is talented but, from what I saw last year & in camp, the Bills are forcing this issue. In fact I think Barnett would be better in the middle. I like Sheppard but I don't feel he is a good fit as a MLB in the NFL. There I said it out loud. LOL
  2. Still need an upgrade at this position. Both players have limitations. I'm not convince Sheppard will be good at MLB either. I just think he would be much better as an OLB. I'd like to see Sheppard & Barnett as OLB's and a new MLB. I think Tank might be the answer before the season is over.
  3. I agree. Looks like he will get beat deep and have a lot of penilties until he gains exp. After 20 yds looks back for the ball to soon, gives free release off the line & than puts his hands all over WR's. Very physical on slants. Reminds me a lot of Nate Clements
  4. Dear Buddy, I have been a fan and a season ticket holder since 1987. My passion for this team has never wavered. I became a Buffalo Bills fan after years of growing up as a Giant fan. In 1987, I moved to Buffalo and needed to root for a team I thought I could more identify with. At that time Ronnie Harmon had dropped the pass that would have changed the Buffalo Bills franchise around and in spite of that I saw great things happening for the Bills so I made the commitment emotionally and financially. I am saying this with all honesty. If you sign Vince Young I will take my business else were. That is a promise.
  5. Buffalo Bills On March 20, 2012, Anderson signed with the Buffalo Bills to a 2 year $5.5 million contract. He will have the possibility to start at RDE.
  6. Some might say Dre is a later pick in this draft but the truth is, (as I see it) He is to big and moves too good and is too good a tackler to let him fall to far in this draft. Buddy might be looking to trade back but if he can't I suspect he will pick Kirkpatrick @10. Too much of a need with Patriots 4 & 5 WR sets. He is also big enough to handle Hernandez and Gronk. This kid good goes before our pcik also.
  7. Let's nip this garbage in the butt right a way. The Bills will not draft a QB in the 1st round of this draft. Anybody with any brains knows that and understands why. Stop the post on what QB in the 1st round we will draft. Please I'm begging you. See if you can open up your mind and start looking at other players than just the ones that play QB.
  8. Congratulations, Sniper 1) Get off this board and close down your username. Going to the boards and seeing what is said is different from being part of the board. 2) The Buffalo Store and online ordering needs to be addressed. Most of the fans who buy are not as computer perceptive as you might think. The obvious to you is not the obvious to us. Have some older people who you know go on the site and order stuff and tell you the problems they are having. 3) Have cheerleaders promote more woman products with Bills logo. Sleeping socks, comfort-sleeping wear etc. 4) Your E-mails are fine keep sending them. If someone does not want them, they can block or unsubscribe. Good luck, I think the store and the on line aspects of it would be a good place for you to make your bones. Find out how much they make. If you make that a priority than when the Bills start winning again you will look good. Also, see if you can influence the Bills in trading for Tim Tebow. He will fill the stadium. I thought they should have selected him #9 in the draft when he came out but ...what I know.
  9. If Bell or Hairston are OK, Andy should be moved in too center for the rest of the year. He is smart and can handle all the line calls and is a leader. He also has the respect of the QB and Coach and can make suggestions as the game goes along. This would be the smartest move. If Bell or Hairston are not OK than Urbeck until they are OK to play but.... Andy needs to be moved inside to center at some point.
  10. Defense needs to change Carrington and use Spencer Johnson as a starter. Than use George Wilson as the Jack linebacker on every down. Move him closer to the line and move him around the defense on every down and make the offense account for him. His ability to rush, tackle, cover and instincts make him a disruptive player and will open up other players to make plays. Wilson is the key to this defense if he is used this way.
  11. I love this group of Misfits, they have heart amd smarts.
  12. Brian Leonard RB/FB/H-back- Fitz worked with him when he was with the Bengals and the Rams.
  13. I would take a flyer on Dennis Dixon QB FA Steelers. Young good talent and smart.
  14. So noooooow I understand the reason for suggesting that Cam should be the same style of QB as Ben Rothlesburger. I knew there must be some racist meaning to that statement!!! Look in the mirror and I think you will see the only racist on this board.
  15. It would not surprise me at all. Peterson would be a hell of a pick and give the front 7 time to blitz and run stunts.
  16. LT- Bell - He has improved each game. LT - Levitre - He is solid in the run and does a good job in pass protection. OC - Wood - He is playing out of position. He is a pure center and Leader and handles the bull rush better then our starting center right now. RG - Howard - He is a beast when blocking for the run and is nimble enough to be used to pull. RT - Meredith - Gives effort on every play. He is very good pass blocking and is quick of the mark and into his man when run blocking. Start these five and let them jell and we will have a good O-line that can get out for screen plays for Spiller and be strong up the middle for Lynch and Jackson. What are your starting five?
  17. This has nothing to do with being a "nice guy". Don't think for a minute that I base an opinion on a player because he is a "nice guy". Talent is talent. Leadership is just that leadership! If you can't see that in Tim Tebow fine.... but don't suggest to me that I just like Tim Tebow because he is a "nice guy". If you want to believe that Tim Tebow doesn't have the talent to play then fine. If you want to believe that it will take three years for him to become productive as a starting QB fine. I do not. I think he will be the Denver starting QB by the end of the year. If he gets on the field because of an injury to a starting QB he will never come off. You can take that to the bank. If the Broncos did not believe that they would have never drafted him in the first round. Wake up people... we as fans just got screwed out of watching a very special talent. If the Bills rated him lower then C J Spiller and are trying now to suggest that they though so much of Tim they wanted to draft him in the first round then tell me why they did not draft him at # 9? This is a joke. They made a big mistake and they know it and trying to tell us of the big plans for C J to be the focal point of the offense shows how stupid they think we are. C J is a good player but C J is not a franchise QB.
  18. If they wanted Tebow then why did they not take him at #9? This is a big mistake... you pass on a franchise QB to take a speed back. You have got to be kidding me. So you are telling me that a franchise QB should be rated lower then a RB who is not big enough to stay on the field for all three downs!! Your telling me for your first draft that you are building your new offense around a speed back. You think it's cute being a Buffalo Bills fan and year after year going through first round picks that fail. You would think after last year that this group would want to try to build something. This is not building an offense. This is just adding a player who's style you don't have on the roster but is not a player to build on. This is a player that you add to a good offense . It's like drafting Leon Washington # 9 You don't build an offense on a RB who is a specialty player. You build it by drafting a QB. Now every time Denver is in the Super Bowl with Tim Tebow at the helm I get to say we could have had him at the #9 pick in this draft. This is a big mistake. This group is just as bad as all the other coaches and this team will not be a very good team until they get a QB. They just put us behind one more year in a rebuilding process. C J Spiller will be lucky if he makes it the whole year with out being injured. Tim Tebow will be a franchise QB. I have had it with this team!
  19. Tim, IMO it's a combination of the internet and readers being forced to listen too and read people who- all they do is bash the teams. We like honesty but some columnist just do not show the other side no matter what the situation is. The Buffalo News does not care to give you two sides to a story. They promote one side and one side only. The NFL network is proof that the NFL is trying to control the product and now they are going over board with constant stories of how wonderful everything is in the NFL. Readers are smart and have their own opinions. Readers like feed back because the internet gives them that now. The papers do not. TV is also only giving everyone one side of a story. In hiring only former players to the pre shows those players are giving opinions that only show one side of the story. The fans do not have a chance to tell their side any more. We no longer are represented in the papers or the pre game shows. We have been replaced by "experts" who are no more "experts" then we are because they only know one side of an issue. Lets take pre season games for example. We hear from everybody, former players, coaches, TV announcers, but nobody cares what the fan wants. Our opinion is mute. It means nothing. We are not considered in the process and we are the ones affected as much as anybody else. Not one columnist has the balls to write other wise because they are afraid they will get cut off from "inside" information. There is nothing but conflict of interest all around us. The papers, ESPN etc are all falling into the trap because the NFL has gotten so big and is starting to be able to control their product. So because of this conflict of interest, the fact that we the fan realize that we have no say in any issue , we turn to the internet. We do not buy papers and we slowly turn off the pre- game shows. The internet gives us our voice back. We can be told off or have a fight or be right but the fact is we will get feedback right a way. The fans made the NFL what it is. The fans made the draft what it is. The fans made Fan Football what it is. The columnist, announcers etc do not think that is true. They think they are the story. We the fans are the story and they all have lost site of that.
  20. Draft - Quentin Groves DE/OLB Auburn at # 11 or move down and draft him either or. That will settle the pass rush problems along with the new signing of K Mitchell.
  21. So your saying that nobody will want Mendenhall, or Sedric Ellis if he drops, or Matt Ryan if he drops like Leinhart did last year? Maybe someone will want to move up to get Kentwan Balmer, or how about one of the CB's, like Cromartie, Jenkins, McKelvin. My point is that anything is possible if you are willing to trade and take less then that stupid draft chart suggest you should take. If the players you target can be had later then move out and gain another pick. It doesn't matter what round the extra pick is in because there is talent all over the draft in every round. You just have to be willing to take what is offered. trading down is always an option that just about every team that is not in the top ten will have. You just have to be willing.
  22. Polian was talking about moving up into the top five or top ten. Not moving up in general! Bills are in an excellent position because they are the first pick out of the top ten and the money drops.
