  1. I'm still new to the smart phone business as got my first one last year but I ended up getting arguably the best one out there. It's a Motorola Moto X. I ended up going with the a 1st generation as I don't like the idea of a super big phone but it's been discontinued but the 2nd generation has gotten some pretty good reviews too.

  2. The sleeper pick for the Bills would be Brandon Doughty from Western Kentucky. Led all of the QB's in the 2014 NCAA in TD's (49) and yardage (4830). A QB that can make 552 pass attempts and make 68% of them with only 10 interceptions, all while playing on a crappy team.

Except he's not draft eligible, as he's going back to school in 2015 http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000442110/article/western-kentuckys-brandon-doughty-gets-a-6th-season

  3. Agreed...I though Ted was quite funny. I mean, were folks expecting it to be an enlightening experience? It was crude humor just as the previews and reviews suggested.

The original Ted was a chick flick trying to masquerade it as a guy film with a bunch a filthy jokes which half the time didn't work.

  4. You can just continue to refuse to acknowledge how great the guy is.

Dinky dunk isn't good if it wins you a Super Bowl, I'm confused. So the only way that is acceptable to win a SB as a QB is throwing it deep all night?

I see you working... if you say the backfield, full of the most cocksure MFers in the league right not was injured, you thereby minimize Brady's role in the win. Got it.

Keep building the case against the guy but everyone around him is better because of him, including Gronk, who I loved out of college (U of A homer). I said it before the game and I'll say it again, give me that guy as my QB in a must win game. At 37 he won a Super Bowl. At 37 the beloved Jim Kelly was retired.

Outside of your obvious emotional inability to give the guy credit, an improved OL is a must. A TE would be a huge improvement. My line is, we don't have one and can't stop one since Ben Coates was eating our lunch. They are major weapons and a necessary for younger QBs. You can get to the playoffs with this D and a mediocre QB. Need to get lucky and find one or have EJ develop. Get the OL, which gets you the running and takes pressure off the QB to do it all. Get that TE and it becomes better for the QB as well.

Coincidence how guys like Kaepernick and Wilson did well right away... behind great OLs with great running games, and in SF's case, a great TE.

and let's not forget Chandler lead the Bills in receiving yards in EJ's rookie year. Imagine if we got a starting caliber TE in here (as I admit I'm not sold on Chandler as a starter).

  5. Trading for Revis, the return of Kiko and the defense mind Ryan could be the ingredients for the best defense ever. Better than the 85 Bears, better than the Ravens, the Best. How cool would that be? Ryan wants a Patriot killer defense. Thats see.

Rex has daddy issues than as if he's going to make the best D he's going to have to develop something better than the '85 Bears yet with the rules favoring offense as they are now I don't see that happening anytime soon. I say no on Revis. Focus on keeping the D together and making the offense better in the red zone and running the ball and we could be a playoff team next year. As think Sammy healthy a full year and Robert Woods entering his important 3rd year helps the hope we also look to improve our TE situation(see a veteran to supplant Chandler and/or Lee Smith) should go a long ways in helping the passing game.

  6. A lof of that was dinky dunk stuff, and be did have 2 bad picks against a secondary that was seriously hurting.

I just know we have to take the "elite qb" thing off the table because unless we're willing to do an irsay and tank the season we're not getting one.

How about elite TE instead? Seems a lot more achievable and gronk is a big part of their success across the board on offense

I've been calling for us to sign Jordan Cameron as an UFA as the second biggest priority this offseason after re-signing Hughes.

  7. Was Brady really all the instrumental yeaterday? He threw 2 picks and LOB we're seriously depleted by injury...lane was out after the pick, sherman will require surgery, Thomas probably will, and chancellor may

Even with the picks Brady completed over 70% of his passes, threw 4 TDs had over 300 yards with next to no running game to aid him. Brady might not have the strongest of arms but demonstrates you don't need a rocket arm to be an NFL QB just accurate. It's fitting that his hero is Joe Montana as both share these traits but Joe was a better athlete.

  8. For interest sake, assuming that the Patriots don't exercise Revis' option.....and assuming it is a 3 horse race.....the current cap space for the 3 teams(according to spotrac) are:

    Patriots: $17M

    Bills: $31M

    Jets: $49M

Revis counts toward the Pats cap space as he's under contract for 2015! If anything the Pats will redo his deal so he will cost less money against their cap space and if he says no then they cut him and it becomes a 31 team race.

  9. I think it's 60-40. 60% of the benefit of signing Revis is the harm it does to NE, and 40% of the benefit is making the Bills already-great defense somewhat better. The cheapest and most cost effective outcome is if some NFC team signs him. Maybe Pegula can slip one of his fellow billionaires a few bucks to make that happen.

The Pats defense was Revis, Jaime Collins (who's turning into a great player), Vincent Wilfork (who's slowing down), wily old Ninkovich, and a bunch of other guys. (It's OK if I don't know them, but you'd think Russell Wilson would have learned about them. Oh well.) The point is that Belichek and Patricia built a very good defense around just a few good players. Take one or two away, and their house of cards tumbles.

It's a close call, but considering most of the benefit to the deal would be in hurting NE, and the lost opportunity to sign other players, I'd say no, if an NFC team were to sign him, and yes if he would return to NE otherwise.

Good note on Collins. Yet to me the two most under rated Patriots if ask me are Devin McCourtey and Patrick Chung. The latter is signed long term but McCourtey is set to be an UFA. I hope he walks as think losing him will really weaken their secondary.

  10. I'll take McPhee and Revis over Hughes and McKelvin any day.

    Can buffalo afford it? Yes!

Also sign Clay and a guard

Draft a RB, OL and a QB

Revis is going to command too much money so I don't understand why people feel he's a viable option. McPhee is a risky pick, are we going to get the guy who got 6.5 sacks as a rookie and 7.0 sacks in his contract year or 1.5 or 2.0 sacks in his middle years? I want Hughes back and if we lose him I think he's hard to replace but one name in UFA that interest me would be Derrick Morgan yet the draft is another option. I'd hope a guy like Eli Harold fall to us but he might be out of our reach which means we might take Hau'Oil Kikaha instead.

  11. Ok idea as a backup center

He's started 50 of 56 games in the NFL so he's going to sign somewhere to start. He'd be an interesting add if we do bring him in. As one could wonder if we'd try and move Wood back to RG where he played 20 of his first 24 games.

Another interesting name would be Jonathan Goodwin who has a history with Kromer and Roman. Yet at 36 one has to wonder how many games he has left in his tank.

  12. Wood hasn't been great but why does he need to take a pay cut? The Bills do not need to clear cap space......some vets are FA who will not be re-signed...

I'd considering keeping Woods and kicking him back to RG where he started his career and bring in former 49ers/Saint (see Roman and Kromer connection) C Jonathan Goodwin to man Center for a season or two. Yet to me Rivers seems like the most obvious cut as he's a 4-3 LB who got little playing time last year and even though Rex admits he likes a hybrid scheme think he'd rather make a former DE playing OLB (see Coples, Calvin Pace and Jason Babin as Jets examples).

  13. This is a pretty good TE draft IMO. There will be one of Wolford, O'leary, Williams, Heurman, Funchess (hybrid WR/TE) available in the 3rd. Jmo.

Asking a 3rd round rookie TE to be an impact player is asking a lot. I like Williams' upside but he might not be NFL ready til 2017. If we're playing for the playoffs in 2015 I say add a veteran TE that I've already mentioned.

  14. Agreed. I like Clay a lot, and Roman seems to like to employ an H Back. Keep Chandler, sign Clay and keep Gray. Then when we want a Lee Smith type on short yardage, use the back-up OT for the game there.

I would be all for Jordan Cameron though, too.

Lee's an UFA. I'd prefer we just let him walk away.
