  1. I don't think it's a given that Dennison should adapt to the existing offense at all. Who's to say Taylor wouldn't be even better in Dennison's preferred system? Other than the coaches, I mean.

Because Dennison's base system has WCO princibles which rely on short timing throws which isn't Tyrod strong suit. Of course the good thing of Dennison working with Tyrod in 2014 he'll know if he's improved since then. My thoughts is we'll let him go as can't see us committing to him long term and can sign a stop gap Cutler/Foles for less money and less years.
  2. Oh, good! Greg Olson told Rapoport of his firing from the Jags in 2016: "Couldn't find an identity in the run game." So we decided to hire the coach that couldn't find a running identity to save the OC's job. The OC that we're interviewing tomorrow. Awesome.

That's why we hired Juan Castillo to be the run game coordinator. But I agree I'm meh on Olson as OC.

  3.

He has plenty of experience. That's for sure. You would see a lot more passing too.

All I know is Gailey made a half way decent offense with a 7th Round draft pick QB (Fitzpatrick) an undrafted RB (Fred Jackson) a 7th WR (Stevie Johnson) and undrafted WRs (David Nelson and Donald Jones) and a journeyman TE (Scott Chandler).

  4. "Sure thing" and college spread QB's should NEVER be used in the same sentence, and I don't care how many records they set or how many TD's they threw or what their statistics were...

There are just too many things they are not required to do in college that they will have to do in the NFL....

not saying they CAN'T do them or that they won't be able to learn how to do them, but there is NO way to project them as 100% sure things that will be able to do them well...

At best its a major, major projection based on really nothing you have to go on, which is why colleges are ruining the NFL QB pool these days as more and more teams go to these types of systems...they are great for colleges but terrible for the NFL and these kids chances. A kid who could have been doing NFL type things for 2 or 3 or 4 years in college is now forced to only start learning them in the NFL and so many of these QBs that might have actually been able to be decent NFL QBs if they had been actually doing these things in college are basically discarded quickly in the NFL if they can't master these concepts withing a year or two...

Something has to change, but I'm not sure what or how it will...the NFL cannot continue to have 85% of college QBs that enter the draft who are unprepared to play in their league....it makes no sense.

This is why some have been pushing for a developmental league. As that's something the CFL and NFL Europe used to do.

  5. Only position that cant be blocked is a HC vacancy. All others can be blocked.

So why call them co-ordinators? Just call them assistant coaches to put them all in same pool. Honestly some of these names they come up with are strangest things ever. Case in point is Childress being the spread offense co-offensive coordinator in KC. Just call him assistant offensive coach and be done with it.

  6. The only place that the idea that Childress "may" be out of the running seems to be a Vic tweet. I would not automatically assume this to be the truth. It may ultimately turn out to be true, who knows now, but it's a flimsy case for it being true. One Vic tweet, saying he "may" be out of the running.

Edit: For clarity sake, Vic said that Childress "Appears" to be out of the picture, not "may" be. Same thing, but since I used the quotes...

and lately Vic has been bad at predicting things as he pretty much thought it was all but certain Lynn be our HC. While I have read reports that Childress was set to retire last year I can see where he could connect the dots but until we don't see Childress I will question Vic's sources.

  7. From the Buff News today, and the analysis of Rex's defensive failure:

Given that, if the Bills are on the clock and both Mike Williams and the best safety in the draft are available, which do you take?

This is, of course, assuming that we don't add a starting WR or S in free agency, which I don't see happening.

Trade down for a 2nd or 3rd round pick and take the best available CB in the mid twenties.

  8. Where did Matt Miller have Tom Brady rated? Or Matt Hasselbeck, Dak Presott, Drew Brees? These "evaluators" get it wrong too

THANK YOU!! The TAPE DONT LIE!!

He's been playing in his uncles "shadow" since he put on a helmet and shoulder pads. This kid is talented and the Bills shouldn't pass on him

Johnny Manziel and Ryan Leaf had talent too. Yet they ended up busts, it happens and and don't think asking him to play in the shadow of his uncle and playing for his hometown would suit him well.
