  1. Until we have "the guy" at QB I say build this roster to be as good as it can be without him. To me it's obvious we need another WR that can either step in and replace Sammy because he's not healthy or no longer here (see leaving after his rookie contract). Williams to me is a Dez Bryant type in that he's not super fast but can be a guy who can win one on one matchups and a true difference maker. I'd take him at 10 so long as one of the top two Safeties is gone. Otherwise I'd consider OJ Howard or a trade down.

  2.

Exactly the same for me. I also recall going there several times with my parents. Always seemed to be for an appliance, or vacuum or things of that nature.

Ahh Brand Names memories. Looking back though, it was odd though. I mean we had to fill out a piece of paper of the product we wanted, put it in the box and then have a clerk from behind the counter get the item for us.

  3. Who is the player on this team with the most trade value?, and would you trade that player? I think the obvious answer is Watkins, and there's no way I trade him unless its a big offer.

Talent wise Shady, Watkins and Dareus are all Pro Bowl caliber players on almost any roster. In terms of return value I think we'd get the most from Watkins due to him being paid the least and a guy you could also re-sign at a cap friendly deal as management can use his missed time as a bargaining chip to pay him less.

  4. Has Whaley ever traded down? I mean 2013 was technically Nix, so who knows if he had say in that or not but I remember Buddy saying after the draft he was worried about trading down again as he didn't want to risk missing out on their guy so he seemed to authorize those trades.

He moved down in 2014 when we drafted CuJo as we moved from pick 41 for picks 44 and pick 153 (Cyril Richardson).

  5. Based off of the updated depth chart which position appears to be the most glaring need. IMO Holmes at number 2 is a lot better than Humber as the starting OLB. Kevon at the other corner I feel will be just fine. Getting more of a sense that this team is gonna go heavy on the defense (at least first 2 rounds) before they start addressing the O. I feel the Team will go LB/DB DB/LB in the first 2 rounds.

Let's not forget the Panthers ran a nickel based defense more than 50% of the time under McDermott. I wouldn't be shocked if did same thing here. I see Micah Hyde playing the Shaq Thompson role as hybrid LB/S and look to draft a S/CB in one of our top 3 picks and the other on a WR and QB.

  6. He just isn't as good at it as the GMs whose teams make the playoffs frequently. He does do a better job than Russ Brandon circa 2009, but that is a pretty low bar to get over.

If Jerry Jones doesn't hit on Zeke and Dak in the draft, Whaley could have easily been named GM of the year last year by adding Lorax, ZBrown and BTate last year.

  7. He's been my favorite QB in the draft as he seems to have the intangibles. Yes, I know he has a weak arm but you watch enough NFL and you come to realize that accuracy is more important. He feels like a WCO QB to me as he's able to hit his guys in stride and has some good legs when needed. Jake Plummerish in think he'll never be elite but still a solid player. I want us to take him in Round 3.

  8. Who is your favorite Corner in the draft that fits the versatile McD system?

    Rasul Douglas http://www.nfl.com/draft/2017/profiles/rasul-douglas?id=2558168

    NFL Comparison

    Daryl Worley

Douglas has rare size for the position and his 2016 interception total will add to the level of intrigue for NFL teams. There is no doubting Douglas' ability to make plays on the ball when he's in position, but his lack of long speed and closing burst could make his big senior season an anomaly. Douglas is a zone corner with press and trail ability but needs to run a reasonable time at the combine to solidify his draft slotting.

Douglas ran a faster time than Worley(4.59 vs 4.64) who was a 3rd Round pick last year (#77 overall) and started 11 games last year for Carolina Panthers (see scheme fit). So if we wait on CB we could likely get this kid with our 3rd Rounder this year (#75 overall).

  9. I feel like some people have forgotten what our Linebackers played like before Zach Brown came here.

Zach Brown is an above average LB in this league. That is not easy to find, which was evident since Fletcher and T.Spikes left.

It is critical to get him back so we can close a need before the draft.

People love to say he missed 14 tackles. The dude had 149 tackles. Less than 10% of his tackles were missed. So he has a 90% tackle rate. I wish every player on our made the play 90% of the time.

If he's motivated he can be, though sad part is most of his career he wasn't. I also question his desire in the last quarter of the season when he seemed to disappear from the Bills or was taking bad angles etc. Possibly because he was mailing it in to avoid getting hurt before his "pay day". That said think he's over priced his worth in UFA and why he has changed his agent and coming back to Buffalo to see what we have to offer. I'd love him back at a cap friendly deal for three years in case Ragland doesn't work out and replace an aging Lorax on defense etc.

  10. Trubisky is the most pro-ready QB due to the system he played in. Mahomes has the arm & higher ceiling which also comes along with higher risk. IMHO Mahomes is worth it.

    Go Bills!!!!!

Mahomes isn't worth the risk at pick 10, maybe with our 2nd rounder but to me the best low cost risk is Nathan Peterman in Round 3 as he fits the typical WCO type QB. Not a great arm but is athletic enough and knows how to scan the field and throw receivers open. He might not play as a rookie but think worth investing time in.

  11. Is there Mahomes game I should watch? I did the draft breakdown of the Baylor game and I wasnt too impressed. He was a bit tough to assess cause his WRs both bailed him out on not great throws and dropped good ones (or didnt high point). I watched Trubisky versus Duke and even though he had a terrible 2nd half thought he played well. Read the field well and got let down by his WRs a bit. Ended the game very terrible which is a red flag. Any other games from these two I should be watching? At this point I lean towards taking Trubisky because brains > arm strength to me.

The Mahomes love is because he has NFL size and arm strength yet he needs to learn how to read defenses etc.

  12. Safey (if Adams or Hooker are there), WR (If Williams or maybe Davis but unsure of him with him missing all post season workouts) or trade down for best CB are the best options for our 1st Round pick IMHO. I'm also a big proponent of drafting QB Nathan Peterman in Round 3.

  13. Updated WR depth chart ad see it:

    WR1 S Watkins '17 > S Watkins '16

    WR2 Rookie '17 < R Woods '16

    WR3 P Brown '17 > M Goodwin 16

    WR4 A Holmes 17 } Hunter/Easley/Harvin '16

    WR5 B Tate '17 < B Tate '16

    WR6 W Powell '17 < W Powell '16

    WR7 Everyone else

On the whole I think we're better if Sammy can play a full season and Holmes replaces Hunter's red zone prescense and Easley's ST coverage. Yet asking a rookie to replace Woods is asking a lot. Also think Listenbee could be a surprise guy that might replace Tate as our primary return specialist and might be better as might offer more in receiving game as a poor man's Goodwin.
