+1I'd be livid.

NFL.com 7 round mock draft
Buffalo Bills
Round 1 (10) Marlon Humphrey, CB, Alabama
Round 2 (44) JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR, USC
Round 3 (75) Tim Williams, OLB, Alabama
Round 5 (156) Dan Skipper, T, Arkansas
Round 5 (163) Jeremy McNichols, RB, Boise State
Round 6 (171) Eddie Jackson, S, Alabama
Round 6 (195) Chad Kelly, QB, Ole Miss
I have to say, I don't hate it.
What happened to our third 5th Rounder?
but TE is not really a hole....compared to others
Our depth at TE is horrible. Nick O'leary at best is a third TE but as of today he'd be our primary backup.

PIZ posted this Tweet from Joe B in the shoutbox: "ole draft day..extended version 22 Qs. Why 22? Because I love that number"
His thinking is that Joe B might be dropping hints that they'd consider trading all the way down from 10 to 22. If they do that, the'd better get a substantial haul of picks in return - like an extra 2nd and 3rd this year and a pick next year.
Trade down with the Dolphins? Eeesh.

...has the Bills taking 'Bama LB Reuben Foster at #10. Here's his quote:
Buffalo could go in a lot of directions here, including QB, but Foster's tape is so good that it reminds me of Luke Kuechly's. There are off-field concerns with Foster, but his tape is awesome.
Thoughts?
Whaley is good at finding LBs, I think taking one in Round 1 is foolish. Case in point in Round 2 we could likely get a Tyus Bowser who has a great deal of zone coverage experience and been a productive pass rusher the last two years and has good size/speed numbers. Personally I want one of the top two Safeties or Mike Williams or OJ Howard in Round 1 if we stay at #10.
The Bills don't have any 3 down linebackers.
That's a big problem in today's NFL.
Preston Brown was a 3 down LB in Schwartz's scheme. Also McDermott plays a large percentage of nickel based defense so we only really need two LBs.

If Reddick was another Bennett/Miller he wouldn't fall to pick 10.Reddick is another bennett/ von miller. Hes the same size and athlete. Peterman rd 2
-
I was the right in a mock in the year we took Schobel and Jennings. Yet my biggest "hit" was when predicted we sign QB Travis Brown.
-
Jones is the only one I like in this mock. Reddick might be a three down LB but to me we can find a speedy LB anywhere in the draft. Dobbs is an athletically gifted QB but isn't a great passer and that's why most have him as a 6th or 7th Round pick.

A pundit/draftnik was on a show earlier today. When asked about what player may drop (dramatically) he mentioned Davis, but, didn't go into any details. Anyone hear anything about him that might have led to the comment? Simple small school bias?
Small school bias, he didn't do any offseason workouts. there are a few reasons he might "fall" yet still think he's in the top 2 WR discussion. I admit I favor Williams as he think gives us the Dez Bryant/Vincent Jackson type we've been looking for what seems like ages.

The two best times to make a change at GM are immediately after the season, or right after the draft so the new GM can get his scouting staff together for the upcoming college season.
Who here thinks Jim Monos might be the next guy they tap?
Monos would be the next guy inline if we hire from within no doubt. Yet have a feeling if Whaley's let go they'll go completely new.
-
In a WGR article last week there was a picture of Whaley talking to Terry and Kim on the practice field. The body language said it all. Whaley is a goner.
and did they date the photo? As you do know sometimes sites use old images for stories.

Agree - if Lattimore was on the board he would be my pick.
If it is a WR, a coin flip with Williams or Davis. I would avoid Ross.
+1 on the Ross thing.
-
Wow he could go from first round to undrafted
He might fall to Round 2 or at worst 3 but not go undrafted.
-
Jamal Adams and it's not even close.
He's been my must draft guy since he declared. Yet after running a sub 4.4 in his pro day I don't think he'll fall to us.
-
Personally....I thought Gilly should have received the higher tender
but what is done is done.....this is why you draft. Gilly's replacement was drafted last year with Jonathan Williams.
One thing i dont see anyone talking about....we did just gain over a million back onto our cap right?....what was the placeholder for Mike G.'s tender.
http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/cap/ which supposedly includes our rookie pool states we have $10.5 million in cap room. If true I'd see if Gerald Hodges is still looking for work and maybe sign a veteran CB yet we can always wait until after June 1st if don't want to worry about any possible compensation picks.

I like Peterman but rather trade down in Round 3 and add a 4 to hopefully add him yet wouldn't be against taking him Round 3 either.Ok. Take 2 of the 3 5th rounders and trade up for a 4th and target Peterman.

a.d when will he complete the AFC East tour and join the Jets?@chrisbrownbills
Just an interesting note. #Bills get pick No. 163 overall from Pats for Gillislee. Gillislee pick No. 164 by Miami in 2013 draft.

Myself personally, how someone thinks and reacts under the kind of pressure that can do not just you, but the recipient of your thought process/football bodily harm cannot be measured on paper.
Fair but you also have to be smart enough to run an NFL offense, especially nowadays with defensive schemes hiding coverage more than in years past. It's a lot about processing information and also doing on the field. Book smarts will only take you so far if can't do it on the field. It's why it's so hard to evaluate guys in spread offenses etc because in college it's usually make one read and throw in the NFL you might have to make several reads and/or stay in the pocket despite perceived pressure etc.

Btw, every time I think I want a WR with our first pick I just see the holes that we have in our D.

We need a WR, but we NEED defensive picks. I would just love two definite starters on D, one more who can help out, and a definite number 2 WR.
Am I being greedy?
What are the holes on defense? CB and LB seem to be it yet think we can get quality guys at the positions outside Round 1. For instance if we stay at pick 10, I could see us going with Mike Williams WR in Round 1, Tyus Bowser LB in Round 2 and Rasul Douglas in Round 3.
-
Obviously, we don't know if it is going to happen and even if we did know we are just not sure of who it would be with. Granted, I love the idea of dropping down and getting "3 out of the top 50 or so guys in the draft" by dropping down. However, more and more I am thinking I would be OK with more picks and that if it helps us get a deal done there doesn't have to be a 2nd rounder in the mix. We might find more teams willing to dance with us.
Oh, don't get me wrong, it is not like I am going to move down for 3 - 5s, but still, I could live with a 3 and a 4 combination (or more) if it calls for it. I know there is no love lost between the TSW and Whaley, but personally I feel fairly confident in this staff with respect to the draft, and 6 picks in the first 120 picks, with 2-3 potential starters is acceptable to me.
Your thoughts?
Accompanying, please find Walters' draft value chart for a reference:
If we're dropping to past pick 16 or so then I'd much rather we get a 2nd this year back. Yet it's perceived value and if we could land a 1st and two 3rds I wouldn't be opposed to that either. Ultimately the draft is getting the best collection of players and this year seems to have a pretty good crop in the early rounds.

Wonderlic scores doesn't really matter. Jim Kelly and Dan Marino had some of the lowest scores in history, but went on to become great Qb's and HOF.
Today's NFL is more complex than in the days of Kelly and Marino. I mean let's not forget Belichick developed the Giants defense that shut down Kelly (and the passing game) in Super Bowl XXV.
In terms of the Wonderilic, it's debatable of how good it measures a QBs intelligence, personally I liked Nathan Peterman before hearing his score and guess being he scored high it helps with my narrative that he be a good QB but honestly only time will tell. Yet I like that he's a guy who had to find himself (left Tennessee for Pitt) and showed some intangibles in a pro style offense.

Cleveland moves down 13 spots and only gets a 2018 first, sounds like Whaley got a better offer.
