1. Teams that end the year with the same record rotate positions in the rounds so last year there were I think two other teams that had the same record that we did. so in Round 1 Team a picks followed by B followed by C. Next round B,then C ,then A. Third round C,then A then B and back again don't emember exactly how they pick the first order however.

Opponents winning percentage is the tie breaker, if teams finish with the same record, the team whose opponents winning percentage was the lowest get the higher pick. If by chance the percentage is a tie then a coin toss determines who gets the higher pick. Granted if a team makes the playoffs and has the same record as a non playoff team then the team not making the playoffs gets the higher pick as well.

  2. Jones' measurables are nice but the guy needs to learn to become a receiver. I suspect he'll be taken in the early part of Round 4 by a team like Chicago who is desperate for WR and/or TE help. Personally I don't see him making an impact until his 3rd year in the league if he puts in a strong effort to play WR or TE in the NFL. As a rookie I'd see him as a Butch Rolle type at best.

  3. I was at home listening to the game on the radio, I turned it off at half time in utter disgust thinking the game was lost and didn't feel like listening to the half time show. I turned the game back on since there was nothing on tv, it was during one of the now famed Reed TD drives (I can't remember which one) and listened to the rest of the game. I was screaming at the radio when it sounded like we scored the go ahead TD on defense but was called back because of a penalty, I thought we were going to lose once again.

  4. Before signing Bennie Anderson I would have said Elton Brown but instead voted for Corey Webster as he would be able to step into the nickel spot and possibly compete with Terrence McGee for the starting spot and eventually replace Clements.

While I considered Spencer, I'm a Teague supporter at Center and think he gets an unfair shake on the board. He's far from a Pro Bowler but think he's better than most here make him out to be. Which would mean we need a LT and I'm holding out hope that somehow the Henry for Shelton trade does happen. In terms of the draft, in a perfect world somehow Khalif Barnes would fall to us. Yet I don't think he'd make it past Tennessee if he fell to Round 2. While Adam Terry has got the skills I wonder if he'd put them together to really be a quality LT or end up being Soloman Page type. Though I would take him over Marcus Johnson who to me is way too slow to be considered at LT.

  5. did ask the nurse tonight if we were going to get a call from Social Services....she said (I think it was a she--she was more of a Pat from Saturday Night Live and had some facial hair)--"No--but have you ever seen the boy in the bubble movie--you sir, need a bubble for this child.."

If can't afford the bubble buy the boy a bicycle helmet to wear indoors. Seriously, I have no real advice to offer but sure things will be fine, don't worry yourself too much.

  6. I recently sold my best friend my old mini-van.  I was cleaning the other day and found an extra key.  He works third shift and parks in an unsecured parking lot, so I have a great opportunity.  Any suggestions? Bear in mind I don't want to go to jail.

    290441

Some of the suggestions listed are good but it depends how elaborate you want to get. I know it might be tough to do such short notice but if want to get elaborate here's a plan.

Move his van to a different spot (preferably at a different level that he won't get to before the one he's parked on) and replace it with a van from a scrap heap that was rear ended really bad (that way the back plate can't be read) and write a note to put on the windshield to call to exchange insurance info (if possible try and borrow a friend's cell phone that mini owner doesn't know). Assuming he'll call that number ASAP instead of AAA/tow truck or try to get in the minivan you can be waiting in his van and pull up to his spot and say April Fools as the call comes in.

  7. Jokeman & Astrobot...How do you feel about Logan Mankins at OG.  I haven't heard him talked about much here.  He seems to be rated somewhere in the top 5 at his position.

    Thanks!

Some places predict him at OT others at OG, most likely the best fit is OG and see him as 3rd/4th Round type pick. He could be grouped with Dan Buenning in he's not a great athlete but his work ethic and attitude make him a potential starter.

  8. Have you experienced the same person who routinely makes calls to your house and doesn't get the message when you tell them you're not interested in their products or services?

What have you done to block a specifice number or range of numbers?

I'm aware that the phone company provides a call blocking service but it's not full proof.

I've already threatened legal action which I'm quite serious in since I have the number on caller ID.

There is an advantage to Dial Up Internet after all  I can only suggest that after saying you're not interested tell them "Please Remove Me From Your List".

  9. Getting 3 stud O-Linemen in the draft and bringing them up to speed regarding the Pats D is a tall order especially with a new untested QB stepping in.

Can you say 8 in the box?

    289450

In terms of the beating the Patriots, their D-line sports 3 first round draft picks in Seymour, Warren and Wilfolk all of which are under 30.

You bring up a good point, I think we're going to see plenty of 8 in the box until JP can prove he can beat some teams with his arm. As a result we could see McGahee struggle to reproduce his numbers from this past season.

  10. I'll review by position:

    CB

Rogers has been moving up and was a guy I initially had pegged as a potential pick but don't see lasting to our pick now.

Jackson has seen his stock drop and might fall to the 2nd Round but suspect he'll be gone by the time we pick.

Webster and Perkins are two CBs I can see falling to us. I'd be happy with either one as a nickel back in 2005 and eventual replacement for Nate in 2006.

    OG

Elton Brown and David Baas should both be gone by the time we pick, would easily take either over any CB.

Marcus Johnson and Chris Kemoeatu: I'm not high on either one even though both could be available when we pick in Round 2.

CJ Brooks. If take a CB in Round 2, he'd be worth looking at in Round 3.

Rob Petitti has seen his stock drop considerably, I think he'd be available in Round 4 or later but rather go elsewhere.

    OC

Ben Wilkerson his injury will force him down the draft and wouldn't use a day 1 pick on him but could be a steal with our 4th Round pick.

Vince Carter Round 3 is the earliest I see anyone taking him but think could be there in Round 5.

    OT

Khalif Barnes McNally felt he was the best O-lineman at the Sr Bowl, if he somehow landed to us in Round 2 then would be no need for LJ Shelton as think Barnes can be a LT in the NFL.

Adam Terry I'm not on high on Terry as others of course it could be a bias against Syracuse players as all too often they fail to live up to their draft billings.

Chris Colmer The injury scares me, he might be more talented then Terry but likely be taken after because an O-lineman with a numb arm is a scary thought.

    OTHERS:

LB Rian Wallace I like the idea of added pass rush but think more of a day 2 need.

WR Chris Henry I don't see taking a WR on day 1 of the draft, infact might not even consider the position until Rnd 5.

K Mike Nugent. Even if he is the next Janikowski, I'd don't see the benefits of drafting a kicker high. See Nate Kaeding vs Josh Scobee.

  11. 1.  Chicago is out of the Shelton race because they have their Oline wrapped up.

    2.  IF Chicago offered a 2nd round pick for Shelton DGreen would have to change his underwear because he would have sh-- himself...

    3.  AZ is running out of teams for Shelton and their other tackle they are trying to trade.

    4.  Buffalo on the other hand, has Chicago, Arizona, Tampa Bay, Miami, and don't be surprised Baltimore as suitors for TH.

    5.  AZ is smoking crack if they think we are going to give other draft picks other than 6th or 7th rounders.  Shelton and swapping 2nd is a small price to pay for TH.

    6.  I would take a Chicago's 2nd rounder for TH.

    7.  TH is cheap next year 1.5 Mil.

    286435

Maybe the best thing to do is trade Henry to the Bears for their 2nd and give our 2nd to Arizona for Shelton.
