  1. It would be interesting to see where they fall short as the miss group appears as though it may change the rule some.
  2. Hu Jackson and Lovie are still available we can have a win, win, win Marone is no-nonsesne kind go guy and an excellent manager I think he will be a good choice.
  3. It would make sense for the NFL to make a rule that no coaches can be signed until 1 week after the super bowl that would give all teams opportunity and not take the focus of football away from the Playoffs. Therefore making coordinators of playoff teams available to all to interview without negativily affecting their teams,
  4. Tj will be just fine was open plenty and was underthrown to and behind. Hands will be fine when the ball is in front of him.
  5. Go back to your day job he threw behind and over and out of bounds constantly
  6. I would want to wait and see What happens with Flacco first much better QB
  7. yes that! I would also take a good look at the Baylor Coach for Offensive Coordinator and his qb
  8. http://www.syracuse.com/axeman/index.ssf/2013/01/doug_marrone_to_interview_for.html Not so sure Marrone would be a cheap coach to get. Very Respected here in Syracuse, no nonsense kind of guy that demands the most from his athletes. People should be aware of how bad the football program was at Syracuse when he came here..
  9. I was thinking that Art Briles might make a great new face to introduce to the NFL as the Bill head coach. We have been the retread route with no success. He has produced RG III and the Redskins have adapted his offense for him in the NFL and have had success. He took a new QB Nick Florence who surpassed RG's numbers in passing this year. I think he would give us a fresh face that would make the step up to come to Buffalo and show what he can do on a pro level. http://scores.espn.go.com/ncf/recap?gameId=323620026
  10. What I see is a Young QB that could make all the throws and when under pressure made good decisions. We need two QB's next year unless we are willing to keep Fitz and hope he is the back up. Thigpin has to go, I would rather bring in two rookies in a competition of best man wins. I would not mind having Fitz as a back up but think the current coaching would not want to risk putting a rookie in over Fitz, They seem to have a fear to succeed. I think earlier in Fitz's career he was able to put a long ball up that was catch-able, no not so much and that is why the offense has stalled, a QB who can stretch the field this offense becomes much better. My guess in the Draft we will use our fist pick on a LB then need to move up to later 1st round to get the next available QB thus giving up a 2nd to get a QB anyway so why not spend it now and use our 3rd to get the back up QB?
  11. I like what I saw in the Redskins / Browns game was able to throw rolling out right and left, down field and was evasive in the pocket. Was able to get the ball down field with ease and zipped the ball in to the receiver in coverage. I am thinking he was on our board and we did not move ahead of Washington because who would have thought they would have drafted two QB's Eat crow and offer a 2nd rounder if we can in my mind if it takes a 2 and next years 3 do it!
  12. The place we needed to make a move last year was in round 2 after glen and move up there and take a QB in that slot My guess is our QB of the near future will be coming from the pinstripe bowl this year. I think Nesib is a good game manager will make an excellent back-up and should be available in rnd 3 is my guess also will help to draw in a Syracuse market so it fits the marketing ploy for this team. West Virginias QB should be worth considering in round 2. Take the LB in round 1
  13. I agree fred is a much better blocker so why not have both in the back field, some times move spiller up to the line for pass play, use fred more as a FB , seems like it would increase play action plays and have two options on the slip screen Anybody see any negatives to that. Now that fred is hurt obviously it can't happen
  14. I have thought he has played very well and would have had a sure interception if not for Offensive Pass Interference (that did not get called) I see Brooks and Gilmore playing man to man on their WR and the other CB and S in Zone coverage. They both appear to be headed to be lock down corners in my opinion.
  15. The thing I noticed also once the came out of the final time out that resulted in the interception none of the WR, or Running Back new where they were to lineup. This after a time out there is a definite lack of communication and I doubt it is coming from our Harvard Grad!
  16. As I have been told by many officials in my coaching days Physics has nothing to do with sports When intelligent people put the pin stripes on there minds often turn to mush!
  17. If i were Nix I would have a meeting something like this Chan, it obvious that you have called the game and worked as a head coach your whole career. If you want to remain my coach you need to find someone to manage the game for you while you are calling the offensive plays. I think you focusing on how to get CJ and your other weapons on offense the ball and taking the pressure off of Fitszpatrick would be best, Do you want to have your Quarterback coach to call offensive plays and you manage the game or do you want your Quarterbacks coach to manage the game and you call the plays?
  18. Coach need to be offensive coordinator can't manage time in the game to call a time out on the 52 yard field goal /time out punt just shows the incompetence Talks about players not making the play. the plays well can you blame them when he takes the game away from them. A field goal makes it a two score game come on. Field Goal was the play. Defense playing well had been making stops. But no don't nail the coffin closed give the other team a chance because he continues not to believe in his players to do what it takes to win except Fitz who has done something to win a game . . . last year!
  19. They don't go to baseball games either. See Marlins in a new stadium to boot. Miami is become a bad sports town.
  20. I will try a do better. The NFL Scheduling committee puts no time and effort into the schedule. The schedule should move the division games starting after the bye week and at least play both teams that have had bye's in the same week. The should more evenly distribute home and away games. To have the bills play the Jets in week 1 and then week 17 is just stupid scheduling. High Schools do a better Job and space division games equally among themselves then rotate. Having played New England twice so early should have been more spread out as well. If I was Scheduling I would put cross conference games early in the season, start Division games after week 6 and have inter conference games between the division games. Making the more important games later in the year and the less important games earlier. That way as the season progresses the more important games are at the end of the season. They should also try and alternate home and away every other week. high schools manage a schedule this way and they have sometime 4 team using a gym during the same season you would think the NFL could figure it out.
  21. What I see in Chans play calling is telegraphing what we are going to do. If Fred is in the game we are going to pass (Fred is in over CJ for pass protection) with an occasional screen, draw or counter with Fred up the Middle. When Cj in we are going to see him swing fro the screed run to the middle look to bounce outside and moving up to the line with no back in the backfield and become a receiver What drives me insane is that if they used the two together it takes none of either players strengths away, would seem that play action would be more effective and slip screens would still be there. You may see spiller available more as a receiver. When I see plays Graham is open deep he would be doing very well with a strong armed quarterback and is it just me but stevie lays down and runs out of bounds constantly avoiding contact. I also saw no intensity at all on the offensive side of the ball we should have pushed a small colts team around but kept playing into their strengths. Was a big proponent of Chan as coach I am off the bandwagon he is the problem not the cure can not inspire the team, disrupts the flow with his play calls and takes the ball out of his best players hands when it is most important.
