An enemies perspective on the game
PatsFanNH replied to PatsFanNH's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I disagree, it changed the hole complection of the game. I would bet the Bills go for it in the 4th quarter instead of taking the FG. Who knows maybe it works and the game gets tied.. but being down 2 scores you take the 3 and hope to get a chance get the TD later. Butler is not Elite, t least not yet. Why would any competent coach leave a CB 1 on 1 to be beat deep like that?? Butler coverd Watkins very well and on almost every play. (IMO of course) I dare say he is just as good as Revis would be for us THIS year. 9key word there is THIS lol) -

Then these refs missed at least one blatant one on Brady. lol Last night was the first time the 5 starters (Minus Solder) have played together this year and it was obvious. Hopefully that corrects itself like it did last year. and as for the WR I PRAY Amandola is ok (losing him on O be bad, but we lose that big play ability on PR as well.) , and we (hopefully) get Edelman back for the playoffs. (possibly even week 17.) -

I dont recall the one you are referencing. (Not saying it didnt happen, just that I am still half asleep and I dont remember it lol) That said I was pleased with how well the Pats CB did last nigt, Coleman (our new UDFA nickle corner was out) and well we had chung playing that spot. (Harper ate him alive but again he is a safety so wasnt shocked at all by that.) I thought Ryan and Butler were amazingly good. I am shocked Taylor didnt just keep targeting whoever Chung was covering every single pass play. -

I agree, but there were two WAY WAY late hits (One on each QB) that I was shocked no flag came out for. (they were not hard hits but Taylor got hurt on his late hit. ) I agree, and MOST CB going get beat by a great WR from time to time... but on the hole I thought Butler did well against Watkins. -

Bills Fans HAD to smell blood in the water when Amandols went out and the Pats pretty much went conservative on O. (for good reason) I thought we were done when he pulled up hurt. -
No One knows what would have happened if the ref didnt blow that dumb whistle! Darby could have made the tackle, Amandola could have broken or avoided the tackle and ran for a TD... I have NO IDEA why Rex was yelling or getting in the refs way for (I think that was what the penalty was called for) but the only reason they gave that penalty was because the screwed up so bad and the crowd (like any crowd) was screaming and booing..

1. God awful refereeing -- Between the missed late hits on Both QB's to the inadvertant whistle, to not stopping the clock on the last play. Way way to many mistakes and why did they have to huddle up for every dang call!! 2. Injuries -- Both teams got Key players dinged up, I hope none on either side are season ending. (Pats were down to LaFell and UDFA (just called up from PS) Harper at WR lol) 3. The Bills D brought it big time last night Brady was hit alot and you could tell the Oline was confused on who to block. Great game plan bythe Bills 4. I thought the Pats D also played a great game and Butler for the second week in a row pretty much neutralized a top tier WR. (That one catch by Watson was sick!) 5. Very good game and the Special teams fumble made a big big difference. Glad we are done with you guys till at least the playoffs, good luck from here on out.

It is typical NFL reffing. The call a ton of penalties early. (Usually whatever penalty some team whined about to get emphasized) then come playoff time unless you mug the person no flag is thrown.

LOL this is not news, and a decision would not come down for a few months AFTER the hearing. Also best case scenerio for The bozo commish is they rule in his favor and send it back to the original Judge. (Which prbl will not happen Goodell and the NFL didnt follow the procedure set out in the CBA which is what the Judge ruled on, not guilt or innocense.)

Who's going to be the first coach fired this year?
PatsFanNH replied to BmarvB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Either Philbin or Pagano. Both teams are UBER under achieving. I want Philbin to stay but my gutt says he is first to go. -
Top 5 teams in the AFC right now
PatsFanNH replied to PatsFanNH's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives

I agree, that O will not be able to keep up with any team witha high powered offense like a NE or GB -

I did not say #5 in the NFL, I said the AFC. After NE,Denver And Cinci there is no power house team. I will say Indy will win the South by default. so lets look whats left for the wildcard spot: Buffalo,Pitt, KC, Jets.... Pitt will struggle without big ben, their D is NOT good at all and will be exposed without Big Ben. Jets -- Great D, their O is gawd awful. KC --good D, and an amazing Run game, and good QB. Buffalo -- Great D, good Run and a promising looking QB.. Outisde of KC there is no team there that the Bills should not overtake for a playoff spot. I even think they should overtake KC they just bet a tough Ravens team, but I see your point. Although I expect them to win the division this year. -

They have a very good D, I beleive their O will crash around mid season. -

Well they are undefeated, and maybe i am going off pass performance but I will take Manning over Dalton every day and twice on Sunday. Who knows maybe its just the respect I have for the man. Guys I have NO clue who should be #5? The Jets? Ugg that hurt just to type! -
1. New England -- has been a buzz saw through the first 3 games on Offense. No one has been really able to slow them down. The defensehas been inconsistent but is above average in QB pressure and Pass D so far. (The run D needs some work) 2. Denver -- Manning playing small ball and the D is scary scary good right now. 3. Cincy -- Playing well on both sides of the ball, and just bet a division foe who was in desperate need of a W. (The Ravens are not a crappy team) 4. Buffalo -- Outside of the NE game the D has looked top 3. Taylor has shown strides of improvement every game and doesnt make that head scratching mistake that plagued Buffalo QB's the last few years. 5. Pitt - D is not that good, but the Offense is clicking with Big Ben and their freak of a WR. IMO the top 4 are set, and Pitt seems to be the best of the rest thats left. The Colts look awful, KC is well inconsistent,AFCS is awful 9although the Titans find a D they could be a dark horse this year).. I just dont see much else. Thoughts?

How did NE figure out our offense so quick?
PatsFanNH replied to PortlandiaEast's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The penalties that kkilled Buffalo were obvious DUMB penalties.. IE the dumb personal fouls, esp the one for the coach swearing at the ref. The Bills hypoed themselves up way to much for a week2 game. But they showed what they can do when playing level headed yesterday against Miami. -

Great point! -

They didn't "figure out" your offense. what they did was stack 8 in the box and crashed hard onto Taylor (8 SACKS, and god a heck of a lot more pressures) they changed it up after the 1st drive when you ran all over them. BB I am guessing decided make your QB beat us while under heavy pressure. (I mean we all saw the Pats D stacking the box right.) Umm yes they are that good. You have a 1st ballot HOF QB ticked off and out to stick it to the NFL, Add in a freakish talent like Gronk (who is already considerd one of the BEST TE ever!) and well you have a recipe for disaster for the league. -
He is on my team so I really dont notice it, I saw him doing the quiet thing to the crowd and the one jawing incident he ahd with a bills player. Trust me if it every started getting flagged he would stop it or BB bench his ass, Brady even made Dobson look good yesterday (8 catches 90 yards) As for my opinion on it, I wish he would dial it down at times, but I love the excitement he has for every play, if that makes sense. You know he just doesnt take plays off like some WR do. (and lets be honest most WR are kinda dushy lol)

Will the refs let us win this game?
PatsFanNH replied to Estelle Getty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As I said in the shoutbox, the inconsistancies of calls is the most annoying from crew to crew and for some crews quarter to quarter. If there was a consitency we all can say "this is always called" or "they never call this" and thats the biggest issue. IMO smacking a guys hands after 5 yards is at least illegal contact lol but again lack of consitency. as for my statement, I should have said more often than not its PI.
