I like Allen a lot! I also want Bills fans to NOT look at the final record/stats this year for the Bills as any indication of how good he may be. for example rookie year: 3-13 56.7% completion 3,739 yards 26 TDS and 28 INT.. that was non other than P Manning rookie stat line.. I don’t think anyone would say Manning sucked in his career after that.

Ok I watched the Bills Yesterday and here is my impression on Allen: 1. Accuracy : for me this was tough to judge, because of the drops (I think like 5?) and an O line that had him running for his life most of the day, and when he did have time I didn’t see many Bills receivers running wide open. 2. Toughness: I define toughness as keep fighting no matter how bad it looks. I think Allen showed a lot of this yesterday. Dislike being down 28-3 he kept fighting and never stopped. Yes they lost but that will help him a lot when they finally have an O around him. 3. Overall Performance — Again hard judge because outside of McCoy I don’t see one player on that O that any D would be afraid to go 1 on 1 with. I saw little separation from any WR and the O line acted like Matadors most of the game. my overall opinion — I like Allen I think he will be at worse an average starting QB given the proper supporting cast and at best a top 6 or 7 QB. so in other words this year may be tough to watch, but you have IMO the most important piece at QB and now need get an Oline and maybe a defense so he doesn’t have to do it all by himself.

Players choosing to retire from Bills

Decker was going be cut and he knew it. Better to retire than be cut and never be signed again. -
AFC East: Bills Stay in 3rd Place
PatsFanNH replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lol ya the Pats game was unwatchable till the 4th when Bortles tried be Bortles and gave them an interception gift.. its early I am not worried about my Pats, they have at least 1 or 2 games a year makes me want to vomit.. lol that said I watched some of the Bills game and I like your QB now your O line and WR not so much.. -
McBeane gave Peterman his shot....

Per all the experts Allen was a “project” with all the tools but not ready to start in Year 1. So maybe your HC planned for this and is hoping load up next year with young skill players and signing some FA lineman to protect Allen? -
Gilmore is WORSE? I won’t lie his first four games he SUCKED! But since then he has been lights out and was probably the only bright spot on D during the SB last year for the Patriots. Sorry Gilmore is actually BETTER than he was in Buffalo as is Hogan. The difference for Hogan is he isn’t the top or second choice he is usually 3 or 4th down the list.

Wow that should have been picked off by the Lions! I see Patricia brought his D to Detroit.

Irresponsible to trade away so many picks?
PatsFanNH replied to Klaista2k's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Simple question for you. Were you a SB Contender with those added picks? What your coaches did was trade up for a QB they feel can be the leader of the franchise for the next decade and they didn’t give up much to do it. They also traded up for a player they feel is better than on e they felt be at pick 22. As for late picks, while you can get some good players, most talent there can be found in a good UDFA class. For an example the Pats usually always have one UDFA make the team every year andhad a SB hero who was just that the very SAME Year. Also they could trade down today and aquire more late round picks so stop worrying..trust the process and give it some time, remember they just broke the playoff drought in year one! -
AFC East QBs - I like how it turned out (at this point)
PatsFanNH replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Last few years you are right. But it makes sense, you have an aging QB who is arguably one of the greatest of all time. You are in a win now mode, so you use your picks for established talent. -
Sigh, but wouldn’t it be better to wait and see how he does in training camp and preseason games BEFORE posting what is at best speculation? Let your eyes tell you what he is or isn’t good at not someone who examined film of college games. I mean Brady hardly lit it up in Michigan, I doubt anyone would say he (in 20/20 hine site)isn’t worthy of a top 5 pick in his class. (Let’s face it he had more red flags than any QB coming out of college at the time.) My point is college stats don’t mean much coming into the NFL. You have great QBs in college whonstink in the NFL, and you have average to maybe a little above average QBs in college who lite it up.

AFC East QBs - I like how it turned out (at this point)

The Bills got a good one, I am not sold on Darnold as well USC QB always seem struggle in the NFL. As for the Pats the two QBs I wanted for them are still there and IMO a better fit for our offense than Jackson was. (Either Rudolph or Laneta) -
Lol damn you Bills fans are really pessimistic type! The kid hasn’t even thrown a pass as a bill yet in practice and their is a post up here about red flags! Lol everyone had Allen as a top pick and needing some development.. IMO air was a good pick by Buffalo I think in a 2-3 years he will be a good to very good starter for your team.

Rob Johnson is still bitter after 20 years
PatsFanNH replied to Sky Diver's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Your right, when he got old Like every QB not named Brady he wasn’t able will his teams to Victory. You still never answered the question. Almost like your avoiding it. Lol Ok if football is a team sport, the. How can you blame him for a loss? You can’t have it both ways just to try and make your argument. Truth is he won many championships up in Canada. #3 stat sounds bad but out with his peers he was middle of the road on those stats. Not elite not awful. Again past his prime. #4 if he sucked and had such a great D why the. Did he win and Johnson (whontruly sucked!) lose? Simple fact is he was a decent WB who when finally getting his chance in the NFL was older and already past his prime. -

So you took 4 years out of his entire career. In the NFL he was 38-28 86 TD 68 INT. In Buffalo he was 21-9 47 TD 30 INT. lets not forget he played most of his career in the CFL because well teams were dumb back then on smaller QBs. Innthe CFL he won numerous championships. But again, I asked who has buffalo had since Kelly who was better?? -

How so? Again an outsider, but who takes a QB that is winning out? The Patriots has a similar deal between Bledsoe and Brady, and Bledsoe had just signed a very lucrative contract to be the Pats QB for years to come. But they stuck with Brady since they were winning even though Bledsoe was ready to go by the end of the year. (Yes yes I’m home site it was a no brained but at the time very similar circumstances)
