  1. The NFL absolutely LOVES this, which is yet another reason there will be no dome in Buffalo. You'll hear over and over about the cold on the telecast. They're going to play it up. I've said this before, and I'll say it again here: the NFL is a TV product, and the stadiums are the TV sets. Fans and weather create the Buffalo atmosphere that makes a game here different from playing in Indianapolis or Minnesota. Games in Buffalo are special. College atmosphere, crazy fans, sometimes crazy weather. There's a mystique. Now, that doesn't mean it's an ADVANTAGE for the Bills, but it is something special for the PRODUCT that is the NFL. 65,000 (ish) fans at the stadium will be a bit cold, but millions watching on TV will love every second of watching America's Team get the W in front of Bills Mafia, which will be plenty warmed up and ready to roll! Being bundled up AND in such a dense crowd of people makes a difference too. If you dress warmly you'll be fine, and I will say "man it must be freezing there!" as I watch on my couch in my warm living room!
  2. I wonder if they want to do a deal where he's under contract for next season as well, a 1 year deal plus this playoff run? Maybe that's making the process take a little bit longer than a simple practice squad signing.
  3. I agree, but I've seen him play really well before, so I'd rather he not end up in the AFC East. I'm all for Tua getting a few years to develop.
  4. I'm hoping that Watson doesn't end up in Miami. Send him to the NFC, Texans!
  5. Guess whose back? Back again... Shaq is back... Tell a friend
  6. Thurman was so, so good... Growing up in those days watching Thurman, Barry, and Emmitt was a golden era of RBs, but IMO Thurman was the best of the 3 because he could play RB, WR, block, and be great at everything. He won league MVP as a RB! People today mention Taylor or Henry as MVP calibur RBs... Thurman was in another universe. Dude could bust a 40 yard run up the middle then go downfield and catch a 30 yard pass down the sideline as a WR!
  7. Cole is entitled to his own opinions, and I respect that, and in and of itself that's not a big deal to me. However, he has caused quite the stir this season AND something just seems off with him. His going at the fans for "booing him" when he catches the ball (which I don't think is what is happening) coupled with how he took so many shots at Dallas after leaving there makes me think he feels wronged somehow here and it is affecting his attitude and his play. He could just be hurt, frustrated, and now feeling like he's being attacked or not appreciated here because of the Covid stuff. He's a tough dude and a very good slot WR, and we need him dialed in to win a Super Bowl. I will say this in defense of Cole: regardless of the noise, the guy catches just about everything thrown near him.
  8. Bill O'Brien is already having a meltdown/tempter tantrum about Tua missing a throw and he isn't even the coach there yet!
  9. to me it looks from the latest video posted in this thread that Cole was lollygagging off the field before the punt and McDermott probably said something like "move it!" and Cole flipped out. McDermott just kept walking because both he and Cole (and everyone else on the sidelines) knows McDermott is right. Get off the field with some urgency! No big deal, really.
  10. McCall is more my size of DT. 320 is a bit skinny for my liking. Get the 350 pounder in here, get some good Buffalo food in him and get him bulked up and ready to roll!
  11. It could have looked like something it wasn't too... Maybe Beasley (who is a tough dude) went out there with a nagging injury and after that play something flared up and he was just frustrated and said "I'm done" meaning he was too banged up to make plays. We often see players react angrily to injuries or their bodies not obeying. It has to be frustrating as hell for your mind to want to play but your body to say "nope."
  12. It has to hurt to get tackled in that type of cold
  13. Cole was about to go all AB and strip down on the field and go dancing through the endzone shirtless on his way out but he didn't have a track ready to drop, and it was freezing cold, so he decided against it.
  14. Maybe there IS something to the Dungy-Riddick-Frazier rumor....
  15. LOL That is fantastic! If you're a Giants fan that is totally depressing news. Basically they're saying "we'll fire him next year because we fired other bad coaches recently"
  16. Zimmer and Kirk Cousins are your typical "fine at their jobs" guys who excite nobody.
  17. The Brown and Doyle picks have me hoping that we're over the "slimmed down" guys phase and will value size. In this draft I want a DT who when he walks into the room people think there's an earthquake happening.
  18. Was he part of the rumor too? I didn't remember him being in the deal, although he is a good OC.
  19. I think it's more likely that we play the Bengals in the AFC Title Game if we make it there.
  20. It's funny... they win games by double digits a lot yet it feels like they're playing sloppy a lot of the time. Imagine if they played a close to perfect game?
  21. Spencer Brown was a home run pick, and if Doyle works out as well that's a really good OL draft this year.
  22. Now we'll see if the idea of Dungy, Riddick and Frazier is real or not. All 3 of those guys could just be hired by the Bears (although Frazier might not be able to officially be hired until after we win the Super Bowl). If that's your plan, you've already vetted it. You don't need to interview others if this is a package deal. I'm sure it took some convincing to lure Dungy out of retirement, so you don't then interview the guy who fetches Zach Taylor his coffee.
  23. That's really surprising! I would have bet money that wasn't correct. Isn't Gase an assistant coach for a high school or something like that?
  24. Plus, do any of these QBs think about going to and winning Super Bowls? All you hear is that guys like Rodgers and Watson want to join the stacked AFC divisions. Why not go/stay in the NFC where there are like 3 legitimately good teams? AFC West alone has 3 good teams if Rodgers goes to Denver, plus the Raiders are plucky.
