  1. Fans don't want to hear it or admit it, but the truth of the matter is that it takes a tremendous amount of luck to be consistently good in the NFL. You can have the best organization in place and have a mediocre team, or a bunch of jokers in the front office and luck out with your QB. The teams that stay consistently relevant have a combination of good luck with key draft picks and the ability to pivot and fix things that are going wrong through trades and free agency.
  2. Bring back Lindy! Perfect coach for this team. He'd kick their asses and give some structure.
  3. I think Josh Allen is as happy as a f*****g clam right now and excited to see what the Bills can accomplish without the Diggs drama.
  4. I'm not saying there aren't guys who are better or worse at it, but even Ozzie missed a lot. The goal is to be right enough of the time at key positions...but it's still anything but scientific.
  5. Are there? I think if you actually do the research you'll find that the teams you think are always right are in fact wrong just as much as everyone else.
  6. …which happens FAR too frequently for the Bills to continue giving him a shot. And let’s be honest: what big game do you look back upon and say, “wow, Jordan really made a difference and helped us win.”
  7. No grieving here over the Juice. Had a great life, couldn’t handle it and the rest was tragic and disastrous. Yet another stark reminder of how on-field exploits don’t translate into real world character. At least Nicole's and Ron's families know he's gone.
  8. I've celebrated three UNC national championships right on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill...it's pretty amazing. I think March Madness and the Super Bowl are completely different events/experiences and not really comparable. The Super Bowl is still the ultimate.
  9. Sorry you feel that way. I happen to disagree but to each his own.
  10. What? NC State, multiple double digit seed wins, three teams in the Final Four who hadn’t been there in 40 years (Purdue, NCSU) and ever (Bama)? So what that UConn is a great team and proved it. It was a great tournament.
  11. 80% coverage here in NC...plan to watch it and try to get some photos of the cool shadows on the ground. Very sunny day here. You Buffalo/WNY folks are lucky!
  12. I’ll push back a bit here. Not a great offseason by any means, but hardly a disaster. Daquan is a stud. Miller was playing great before the ACL. Bates was a solid piece, and Crowder got hurt. Phillips was effective when healthy. Saffold was washed, Settle did nothing extraordinary, and Howard was a flyer who was cut. Saffold was a terrible signing and Settle was a “we hope he’s on the rise” signing that didn’t pan out. But do we blame Beane for injuries now? The Diggs extension was necessary given the way the WR market exploded, and he was playing at a high level. Jury is still out on Elam but apparently he’s been hurt for most of his time here as well.
  13. You are completely making shite up. Graham said he doesn’t know what Diggs said.
  14. Yawn. This is a camp move only...and if anything comes out of it I'll be shocked.
  15. Yes, I read that article also. It is patently clear that the Bills were planning to move on from Diggs...Beane just had to wait for the right deal to come along.
  16. The argument for doing it is the rookie contract. If you believe it is a can’t-miss player it is attractive.
  17. Boom goes the dynamite.
  18. I know you asked @Kirby Jackson, but for me it's MJH or stay put and do some finagling to double dip on WRs.
  19. The Bills won 6 in a row without Diggs -- at least without him in a WR1 role.
  20. He implied nothing of the sort. He repeatedly said, “it’s not September.”
  21. I think we all know that Josh knew exactly what was going down...
  22. I don't think either of things are necessarily true, but certainly not the 2nd. You don't get a team's 2nd round draft pick for nothing.
  23. Beane just confirmed Josh knew beforehand -- as expected.
  24. That "crazy" extension was how long ago? At the time it made sense given his production. Yes, the Bills will eat the dead cap from Diggs' bonus this year and be completely free of it in '25. In the meantime, they can pay a rookie WR peanuts.
  25. This is an uninformed take. Diggs' contract is HUGE. He's 31 and anyone can see how his performance has diminished. The Bills didn't have to give up anything significant in the '24 draft to make this happen and get them out from under that contract in a year, plus they got an additional piece of draft capital to go and get their guy this year if they want to (and pay him a rookie contract). I think the trade is a win for the Bills and a "to be determined" for the Texans -- but I understand why Caserio did it.
