Buffalo Tix week 2.... Most expensive in resale market
MarlinTheMagician replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall
Only 30% chance of rain Monday night. Game time decision on how much to gear up! With full knowledge of the rain I happily paid up for 4 tickets 30 rows up from the field on the 50. Probably overpaid, but don't really care - I hope it helps some guy pay for his season. -
NFL "Around the League" Gameday thread

Trubisky - rooting for him. Think he is going to be pretty good. Looks calm and in charge, despite some red zone challenges. -
The greatest team ever assembled?
MarlinTheMagician replied to BrainwashedBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Love the idea, but shhhh -- don't jinx it! -
Post is so annoying. No pressure at all. In five years look where we are and consider where we were. We owe that to two men, principally.

Get well big fella!

This has to be the deepest dline we’ve ever had
MarlinTheMagician replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
Loving Jordan Phillips. His answer to the question as to why he re-signed with the Bills was the best: "the heart wants what the heart wants." He loves it here. Don't know if it showed on TV, but he was firing up the Mafia at the game all night. -
I was there with a high-up seat on the 50 - perfect to watch plays develop. Watched Elam, he played well.

Extend Po Now - Protect the Culture
MarlinTheMagician replied to MarlinTheMagician's topic in The Stadium Wall
He is not under contract for next year, and he is not holding out this year. Just sign him for next season and give him some security. -

Extend Po Now - Protect the Culture
MarlinTheMagician replied to MarlinTheMagician's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hyde is on the books in 2023 for $10.8 million. Probably could have Poyer for about the same. Not buying Johnson as the equivalent, and you would have to pay him to start. Not buying Hamlin as the equivalent either. Though I like both. No reason they can't afford Poyer one more year. -
Extend Po Now - Protect the Culture
MarlinTheMagician replied to MarlinTheMagician's topic in The Stadium Wall
Didn't say Didn't say give him a "huge" raise. There should be a middle ground that makes Poyer happy, secures his services beyond this year and provides a positive boost for the room. Takes a potential distraction and makes it a win. No need to compromise our future to extend him a year and give him a raise for 2022. -
Having cleared cap space with the Schnowman, it is time to extend Po. From what I can tell he has universal respect in the locker room and he is a warrior. Extending Po would give the team a boost and help purge the Ariaza situation. I believe it would be a boost for the locker room and the fan base. Not saying be crazy, but I am sure he wants to get something done and finish what he has started here. Could be a real win-win.

Help me understand an OBJ trade
MarlinTheMagician replied to Behindenemylines's topic in The Stadium Wall
This sarcasm expresses my feelings exactly. OBJ for this team is the wrong guy -- I do not believe OBJ would provide too much of an upgrade over Lil' Dirty in the slot and Davis wide. So why spend the money? And even more, why risk the chemistry? We don't need him. Get more Online help at the trade deadline instead (if one needs to make a move). -
Happy Birthday Coach. You have always been a class act that reflects well on our City and our Team. Except maybe for that fight song. Yeesh!

'Praying for Dion' Dawkins: Top Bills Lineman Leaves Camp
MarlinTheMagician replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall
One of my all-time favorite Bills. Our family's thoughts and prayers go out to the Schnowman! I knew we had a fun group with him and Tre in 2018. They are heart and soul dudes. Go Schnow! -
Sad day for me, when the inspiration for your twobillsdrive username dies it is not good. Loved watching Marlin, he was so exciting. Had to post in his honor. Godspeed Marlin, you should have got a full shot at QB, the world knows that now, but you were a great WR. Here is a new article about him and his Omaha roots you may find of interest - a humble, gracious and sensitive guy: https://omaha.com/sports/local/chatelain-marlin-briscoe-the-magician-had-magic-ability-to-live-in-two-worlds/article_e77f2ace-f70f-11ec-bbb3-9b1fa8ff1710.html?utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter_OWHsports

Every time I watch a Bills highlight film I cannot believe how great Allen is. He routinely covers 30-40 yards at a time running it or passing it. What a horse, and to combine that with his leadership of the team and bond with the community it is just un-bill-ievable. Let's go!

Buffalo: Dion Dawkins for the Players Tribune
MarlinTheMagician replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Amazing article. That was my neighbourhood when I was little. A long time ago. I am aware of the differences now. But I bet it still has a lot of the same character. Best thing about it then was it was a walking neighbourhood - you didn't need a car. Some people didn't have one. I could picture what Dion said about people walking there for their groceries. We need to get behind contributing Let's prove Dion right about all the wonderful things he said about our community. I will be doing so as soon as leave TwoBillsDrive. May have to get myself of Dawkins jersey, how can we not love that guy? -
While I hate the "pump the brakes" expression, I agree with the OP. Was just posting in another thread that I love all Bills teams about the same (within a range). Even when they suck. Rain or shine, they are our squad. So I am all with the OP on "let's support this excellent group while we got 'em." I want that Super Bowl as much as any fan (I think), but I am going to stay thankful for what we have and support them both when they thrill and when they disappoint. I am thankful that they are here. When I was a kid, Ralph threatened repeatedly to move the squad. So long as the Bills are from Buffalo I can easily support them through anything. Sometimes it is a bit easier than others, but it is always easy.

It is funny, I have always loved the Bills the same amount - a ton. For too many years to report. So it may seem crazy, but I have enjoyed all the years a lot, even when we were horrible. One just had to look harder for silver linings (often finding false ones). And now with Josh or at Kelly's peak, there was this added pressure that if we don't win the season was not worthwhile. Ha! I remember plenty of times 9-7 looked like a steak sandwich. So yes, I love and really enjoy this team, and more so maybe than any other. But I have loved them all, in a maximal kind of way, so the incremental love for these Bills is not as great as I would expect. They are all like my children, and I have to love the goofy kid just as much as the squared-away scholar athlete.

Josh Allen's best throws from his first 4 years (video)
MarlinTheMagician replied to RobbRiddick's topic in The Stadium Wall
Josh Allen - our guy. A perfect fit in our city. And the best QB in the NFL.
