  1. I thought orakpo would've been picked already so I did pick maybin as our most likely pick. I've been turned off of tweeters ever since. Should've remembered Erik flowers. Who do u pick outside a qb?
  2. Agreed - takes a bit of the drama away from us as we will most likely not take one... but we'll get a huge impact player at 10 which is nice
  3. I don't see it either - but i also don't think they shouldn't consider it. Bortles stinks, and Rivers isn't getting any younger..
  4. He wasn't going to be a free agent though... so it is completely illegal tampering. If a team wanted to explore a trade they could do so. But as for talking to another team, its not going to get past the "if he's a free agent id be very interested" stage. So you can't get down to the numbers really until you're a free agent. If you're going to be a UFA, it's obviously a little bit looser. Team's have alreayd put their offers in, and players have already rejected them.
  5. Kiko had an off-field issue if i recall.... I didn't like Jordan much - let alone the trade up. Funny that none of the players involved int his trade are with Miami or Oakland anymore... 2013 was a weird draft.
  6. If he plays out all 4 years...? which like no one ever does. Especially anyone on Miami. Dannell ellerbe got 35 million over 5 years... and was paid what 14 over 2? Guarantee's are all that matter anymore.
  7. He may never play again, and you'd have to eat Tyrod's bonus and U'd make that trade?? Insanity... Don't get the Bridgewater love... he doesn't impress me and his numbers are like Tyrod's minus the rushing yards. Never threw for more than 14 TDs in a season, and had the best running back in the NFL.
  8. It's sad that this is a major upgrade at #2 QB over the past few seasons...
  9. The windup, the feet, holding the ball low, throwing off his back foot... these things all lead to turnovers. You have to think anyone drafting him is going to at least explore fixing these things. In addition to ya know, calling plays in the huddle and using an NFL playbook, no-huddle, snaps from under center.... He is a project. A very interesting project because of his improvisation and huge arm. He seems to have a pretty natural ability to scramble, and see pressure which is good. And his eyes are downfield which is good.
  10. The reason i mentioned mechanics... he'll get it - "somewhere" faster than Watson. Will it be the receivers hands? The ground? The sideline? The other team's hands?
  11. I think Geno smith is a good example of a guy who struggle to transition from spread to NFL. He was able to wow with his arm strength in those pro-day throwing scenarios, and had fantastic numbers, but once you dissect them a bit you see that he struggled with the most basic things in the NFL. RG3 was able to get by on pure athleticism, and injuries have ruined his mechanics, and sapped him of the speed that made him hard to match up with. Arm strength and everything is great, but you need to be able to call plays in huddle, take snaps from under center, set protection, stand and deliver in the face of pressure, navigate a pocket, evaluate film, etc. All while remaining mechanically sound. So pretty much everyone coming out these days will be majority spread offense, so that's always going to be tricky. It comes down to identifying which one is most likely to improve in the NFL. Trubinsky - 1 year starter and a late bloomer - totally a wildcard but he seems to have more upside than anyone from that 2013 class. Watson - Doesn't seem to have a plus arm - played in a spread. Total gamer though and has a lot of heart and desire to be successful. Mahomes - Killer arm, played in a straight air raid offense. Weird mechanics will take time to adjust as mechanics are the key to precision and accuracy Ehhh - Mannings arm became an issue after his neck injury in Indy, and it was apparent. He still threw for like 55 TDs... But also - he's freaking Peyton Manning. He knew what you were doing before you called it.
  12. He doesn't want to do otas so he won't sign until camp
  13. If we trade back it means someone wants to jump cleveland to get first crack. I don't think we'd get as much in a trade as people think.
  14. Funny thing is gronk was pushed out of the first because of back problems... and torrell troup ended up with back problems.
  15. They're going to release him - they can do a post June and get some cap space back for 2017.
  16. I like Mahomes... I'd even say go ahead and take him at 10 if you like him. But don't give the kid a hall of fame bust and act like there aren't reasons he's not the #1 overall pick. Cuz there are. Everyone says his arms so hot his footwork doesn't matter... and he'll learn to take snaps under center... and learn to call plays in the huddle.... All of these things matter, and thats why he's not going #1 overall.
  17. I can safely say i am so sick of hearing about this guy. I hope we don't draft him, and i hope he sucks. 60 page thread about a rookie we didn't even draft?! SMH
  18. I guess it all depends who we draft. I could totally see us going QB, I could also see us going value and just trying to bring in McD guys. If we draft a guy in the 3rd round or something, i still would say he's likely safe to start all year. If they don't go QB it gives Tyrod the keys for a year, but it wouldn't prohibit us from looking QB in 2018 either.
  19. I think Tyrod is one of those quiet lead by example guys. He's first man in every morning for workouts, year round and takes his job seriously. That's what you look for in a captain.
  20. They're players, they report to the Head coach. I think the idea is that we have real captains who you look to for questions in film study, on the field, or even for off field things if needed. I'd say it probably would be Kyle, Zo, Tyrod, i guess Hyde seems to want to be a leader. Our ST guys all seem relatively new outside of Zo, so he seems like the natural fit for that side of the ball.
  21. Carpenter's kicking issues, and the same with schmidt's terrible punting.
  22. I don't get why people are discounting Peterson as a good player... he's one of the greatest running backs of all time. He would do well there. They clearly wanna stretch Brady's last few years, this helps do that. Upgrade over Blount.
  23. McCaffery just won't break through arm tackles in the NFL. But he has good vision, good hands, experience in a pro style offense. I think he'll have a role wherever he ends up. I could see Pittsburgh grabbing him as they don't seem to want to pay Bell and he could have some success there.
  24. I guess...? It'd be hard for me to be a bills fan if they screwed with my ability to pay my mortgage and bills, and on his birthday to boot? I'd hate any company for that.
  25. yeah - they fired him on his birthday... lifetime bills fan. Now he's a pats fan. Can't say i blame him.
