  1. This would also require a playbook with a real route tree. As much as it's Tyrod, the out/hitch/vert playbook is about as vanilla as they come.
  2. Doesn't sammy have to play games to get targets...? And maybe not limp his way through 30 snaps...
  3. Still has to show up if they pay him though.... doesn't make it look good. Will be a lot of damage control if we keep him.
  4. He'd just ban you if you disagree with him. Tim Graham's not a very nice guy. Remember that michael phelps video when he got back from Brazil? BRUTAL.
  5. The defense needs a massive improvement. I expect with Tyrod that we'd honestly probably regress a bit in PPG. But if the defense can trend up we could be in the mix.
  6. yeah - everyone's so sensitive now... THANKS OBAMA. Perfect Pegula press conference: "Rex sucked - so I fired him. His brother was the Assistant head coach... so i had to fire him too. Questions?" Why are we benching Tyrod? Cuz he's not that good, and we don't know if we want to keep him. And we definitely wouldn't want him signed for that contract with a bum knee or something. Who's leading the coaching search? Whaley - we're giving him a chance to pick his guy. If it doesn't work, I'll can his ass too. On why were keeping Whaley - I thought Rex was a good coach. I was wrong. Next question.
  7. Ha - He seems to get more out of tannehill. But Miami has invested a ton in that offense. Receivers in rounds 1 and 2. Other picks and extensions along the line. Tannehill is overpaid even if you think he's ok. Then you get to their defense... Lot of cap tied up in the defense, and they haven't drafted well there. They'll need to cut bait with a few overpaid guys to create extra space to find their replacements. They'll also need a solid draft this year as they have 2 old edge rushers, and the depth isnt great (dion jordan looks like a loss). They will probably need linebackers. They'll likely look to upgrade their corners (Tyrod taylor shredded them guys...). Remember this for the Dolphins lovers- theyve basically won all the games we won (got chargers W, we got oakland L while they got Tenn L, we got Jax W). They beat us twice... so that really is the gap between us. Their W against pitt was their only impressive win.
  8. Meh - I ain't scared. We're due for a bounce to go our way against KC. Oakland or Denver or both could be in buffalo - that's a tough road trip as we saw. The NFC South isn't super impressive defensively, but all those QBs are solid so its always a crapshoot there. The way i look at it all of those teams are good - in theory. In actuality, a few of them will fade and end up with losing records. Following previous bills logic, we will win against the teams with losing records.
  9. Theoretically right - however Miami ran the last play with 40 seconds left on the clock. They got the kicking team on the field and comfortably executed. But - we called timeout anyway. Cuz if you don't score you want to give yourself a shot.... So i think the clock was running. I think in that situation you actually want to go out of bounds. If you then are incomplete on 4th down. You have 3 timeouts. You stop them 3 times and you get something like 40 seconds to drive down. It's called situational football... 3rd and Goal at MIA 4(1:32 - 4th) (Shotgun) T.Taylor left end to MIA 7 for -3 yards (B.Rambo; N.Hewitt). Designed rush, receivers in blocking mode (1:25 - 4th) Timeout #1 by BUF at 01:25.
  10. I dunno - we ran flutie out of town after his greatest game...
  11. Eh - weren't they at like midfield when he ran out of bounds though? With 2 minutes left?
  12. Constantly cycling guys in and out year in year out, and they always put a solid unit on the field. Hard to argue against this guy TBH. They traded their best 2 defenders for a 1st round bust (to make the $$$ work), 1 2nd round pick ( a guard), and a 3rd round pick for 2017. They replaced them with castoffs Chris Long, and Shea McClellin. They also get a ton of snaps out of a 6th round rookie. Their shut-down corner was undrafted and starting by the end of his rookie year and has since become somewhat of a stud. As much as you say - praise belichick and the scouting... when does actual coaching start to get more out of players like long, sheard, and McClellin?
  13. And Doug can learn from him how a successful organization is run. Accountability, confidentiality, and results-driven. How to game plan for an opponent, and how to manage a game. If he does these things as he learned from Bill, we could be in business.
  14. We need 2 STARTING safeties, at least 2 lb's definitely 1 or 2 to start, probably a corner, a RT upgrade, and a couple WRs to at least field a full roster. Let's add a couple QBs to the list.... Oh and a HC who wants to work for an organization that is a complete cluster. All with relatively limited cap room because DW squandered it all on a DT for the 28th best rushing defense in the NFL, an OLB who can't sack the QB, and a safety who's neck is now held together by screws. He's wasted draft capital in ill advised trades. I like Whaley - I think he's a good talent evaluator. But when you put it like that... he should probably be fired right? We need a good HC, for ANY of this to matter. And it's not going to happen.
  15. He's under contract - so for the people saying he "won't want to come back"... he doesn't have a choice if we pick up the option. If we cut him - Whaley had better have a realistic backup plan beyond re-signing EJ, or bringing in some cast off. There will be a drop off, and I feel like saying there wouldn't be is not realistic. The fact is - the defense let this team down. We were supposed to be good on defense, and we were not in the last 2 years. That is the reason we are where we are. You can throw a million advanced stats at me about the offense, scoring, 3 and out % or whatever. But the fact remains that our defense let this team down. We were shredded by Ajayi twice, Bell once, Carr once, russel wilson, brady, etc. 3 200 yard rushers? Allowed over 30 PPG in 8 losses? Coverage problems, miscommunication , tackling problems all season. 0 accountability.
  16. It's like win-win for Tyrod. He's benched after throwing for 300 and 3TDs. Either sticks with a new HC (and gets paid), or goes somewhere else, and probably still gets paid (probably less, but probably still a pretty decent chunk of change).
  17. Points allowed in losses - 13, 37, 28, 41, 31, 38, 27, 34... Thats 30.75 points allowed per game in losses. Which if we had through 15 games, would be dead last in the NFL in points allowed. We gave up 3 200 yard rushers. Those are staggeringly bad numbers...
  18. I get why u do it... just a bad look right after he just lit it up
  19. If and when we fire Whaley... wasting money on this bozo could be one of the biggest reasons
  20. You can run the ball with Brady at qb as well...
