  1. I think he moved up to backup in 2004 or 2005, but yeah, he definitely was PS in 2003. Not a long list of QBs for that. I don't think there's a reason to hang on to him TBH.
  2. If he caught it he probably wouldve taken a decent lick, but he may have also scored the TD. This isnt the 80s/90s - he goes head hunting and he's getting a penalty, a fine, maybe an ejection, possibly a suspension.
  3. I see people at my touch football league make that catch. That throw is fine. It's in a place where the DB cannot make a play on the ball.
  4. Disagree. That was an incredibly catchable pass. I don't know if he lost it in the sun, or feared the contact - but any wide receiver should be able to catch that pass. If anything leading him more might lead to a pick.
  5. Yeah - some nice little plays - picked up a 3rd and 10 and generally carried buffalo down the field on the first TD drive.
  6. Usually you hear about it on the grapevine - guess you'll find out soon if LA or Dallas is desperate for RB help on their holdouts. While they may call, i don't think we're advertising it.
  7. He was a pre-draft depth signing - sets you up to draft BPA by having brought in line depth.
  8. Nope. I agree with playing him at RG if it makes the best 5. Just sucks that the depth went from solid to really bad in a second
  9. It's tough - the Cowboys rely on zeke more and it'd likely be no new money in 2019 anyway. His option year is set at around 10mil, but he'll want to be highest paid at his position, so i would guess 16per year? But looking at Dak going from 2 mil to 30 mil, and Cooper looking for 20... gonna be tough to come up with the 55+ needed for all 3. Zekes not even in his option year yet either... Just a mess. You hit on a 4th round QB but when it comes time to pay him you have to gut the team it seems like. Gordon's interesting because... he's a good player, but hes not even close to as good as elliot. Worse YPC... Comparable Receiving numbers... More Miles... Missed time with injuries in 3/4 years... 1 1000 yard season. So its hard to evaluate where he should be paid honestly. Somewhere in the AAV between freemans 8.25 and Johnsons 13 - either way its more than the 5 he's set to make this year. Both are looking for large guarantees - but i tried to simplify and look at the AAV
  10. Ideally Ford becomes your backup swing tackle, but an injury to dawkins would then have ford at RT, and Nseke moving to LT, and another guy coming on at RG - thats 3 changes for 1 injury. Waddle has started 31 games in the league, including games the last 2 years. Our new 4th tackle could be one of wesley/mcdermott - who haven't even played 31 snaps in the NFL. I know its a depth spot but that's a considerable drop-off. Especially with the 3rd tackle possibly taking regular snaps at RG.
  11. Looks like the starting 5 is starting to form - but the backup swing tackle job will be up for grabs. I think if dawkins or nseckhe were to miss time you would move ford into that spot, but that just creates a hole at RG. Sometimes its better to leave the unit intact in situations like that.
  12. Makes sense - 2 teams that didn't have their QBs. And 3 teams that shouldve won more games than they did in 2018. The Jets at 4-12 going to 8-8 doesn't seem far fetched with their additions. Giants are a tricky one because of the loss of beckham, and everyone assumes they'll be terrible.
  13. Ford still functions as a backup swing tackle - but you still will need a 4th tackle for sure. We're probably carrying at least 9 linemen on the 53
  14. So who starts where? Trent williams at LT, where do we put dawkins?
  15. They also have a good punter and kicker. We spent some money to improve the kicking game after carpenter fell off a cliff. They also haven't shied away from improving the punting game by adding young players and moving on from Schmidt. We were almost 6 yards behind the league leaders in net punting average. League average was over 68 punts per team - This amounts to over 400 yards per season. Thats a lot of field position for our defense. You want to see more Fair catches, and more in 20s too.
  16. Yeah - usually you'll see teams carry a relatively dedicated gunner. Looked like that was Pitts for us after they released holmes. If they think Neal Gaines Alexander or Perry can take that spot as a dedicated gunner you would think that is it for Pitts unless his coverage abilities have improved. Dimarco and Lacy could be competing for a job in that same regard. If lacy is surpassed by the other backers and they think they could get similar special teams coverage he may be on the outs. Or we could decide we just want a fullback and that's that ?
  17. I dunno - its OK to have actual core special teams players. NE carries Ebner and Slater and they're barely depth at their positions. They combined for 20 offensive/defensive snaps in 2018/2019 and over 600 special teams snaps. Just remember - 11 guys play on offense and defense.. some positions rotate a bunch, others not much at all. If Dimarco is a better special teams player than say... Yeldon, Croom, Marlowe, or Alexander - it makes sense to keep him. If you don't see them getting snaps on offense/defense then why carry them when you can carry a player who helps you contribute on snaps in the game.
  18. The leverage is basically, pay me or watch your super bowl chances disappear. Not that he's the biggest piece of the chargers - its kind of a call your bluff situation. Ekeler is fine, but he tends to not look as solid when its just him playing.
  19. Even if he just ends up being a guard its fine - I honestly can't remember the last time we had a solid RG. If Spain starts this year and is solid the goal is i guess either extend him, or hope that teller has developed over 2 years enough to take over LG.
  20. Yeah - it makes sense too with where he's at. The struggles sound like theyre coming from speed off the edge, and across his face. He'd have to deal with less of that inside, and gets to be more physical.
  21. Yeah - plus like.. its a position where people get dinged up. I'm sure they'll use mccloud/mckenzie some games and want something more conventional like yeldon for others. Always comes down to matchups.
  22. Some sort of train would be huge - you could build parking there, but you could also run something west-east to help alleviate traffic from there. Its hard to get in and out of there with only one highway access. Building up some way to get to route 5 easier would be good for south towners. North towners can go both directions on 190 and still head home.
  23. Honestly its probably more than half empty. The low rise stuff near conway is a ghost town.
