2 things that KC and NE have in common is that both a great receiving TE and both have a great slot WR. I guess having Brady and Mahomes helps too.

Only two TEs have been drafted in the top 10 since 2000....Vernon Davis and Kellen Winslow Jr.....I think the most hyped TE since then was Jeremy Shockey at pick 14. Gronk was taken in the 2nd round. I wonder if this is more pre draft hype or Hockenson will actually go top 15.

I would rather sign Ansah if his shoulder checks out and get an impact player at 9 such as Oliver. If I knew that lets say Hockenson would be available at 23.....the trade would have a lot more appeal to me then. lol That is if we knew we could get him for a swap of 1sts and a sweetener.

For need...probably Oliver or Wilkins....Wilkins is probably the safer pick but played for a national champion team while Oliver has more of the it factor and higher ceiling....So Oliver....but part of me would love to have that go to TE for Allen in Hockenson...great red zone target and safety valve. I think with all the moves that have been made in FA with the OL, it would be hard to envision them taking either Taylor or Williams at 9.

I am optimistic ….good thread...I am excited for the draft and excited for the start of the season. Whether we win and make the playoffs or not....it feels good right now and like we are spiraling upward.

I know he doesn't really fit our scheme, he is older and isn't the player he once was....but I would still like to sign Clay Matthews if the price was right lol It would just be cool to have him for about 2 years as a Bill.

Basically what I was saying is that I don't think Bosa's injury is too much of a concern and he will probably go pick 2 or 3. I agree with what you said

I wouldn't give up our 1st next year in a trade down for Bosa...but if he dropped for that reason and got close enough...I would inquire on what the price would be. I would take him with our 9th and not think twice about it if he were there. I really don't see this happening anyways.

Seems that Mocks have Hock going as high as top 10 now....see he even has a nickname already....the similarities to Gronk are growing.

The only players I can see trading up for are Josh Allen 2 and Bosa if for some strange reason they fall within range to where a trade up is feasible. Or if Beane really likes one of the DTs , Hockenson or even possibly Metcalf that much and he wants to ensure that he gets that player. But right now we seem to be sittting really good

My crystal ball says at pick 9 we draft Oliver or Hockenson….its a split screen.

My gut says the pick is Oliver if he is there at 9....if not Wilkens. But I could also see a scenarios where we take Hockenson or Metcalf.
