  1. What a day! First, I find out at about 8 AM that the WNYTBDGPS is gathering today. OK. Stop eating breakfast and start drinking more fluids (don't want to cramp up). Then I get a phone call from WCMF radio, Rochester broadcast home of the Bills games. I won a pair of tickets to the game this week and passes to go on the field while the team is warming up. I had forgotten I even entered the contest. Plus, it turns out I am not even the first pick. Whoever really won said they could not go. Anyway, I will be there in section 137! Perhaps I will see you at Lot 1, Pole 5!!
  2. Jay never said he would be booing or Moulds deserved boos, just making a valid observation on the probable fanboy stadium mood this Sunday. #80 should save his talk for the locker room and team meetings, NOT for the press. Could it be that is what Jay was objecting to? Hmmmmmmmm? When did Jay attack Moulds? I question your statement that Moulds absolutely is "the most respected and senior veteran on the team". That said, I will not boo him and will cheer if he makes good plays!
  3. Good Plate today! Small group today (me, Jay, Dan Gross, Jack) but a quality time. Note to bobblehead, it is farther from Syracuse to Nick's than Canandaigua to Nick's, but Jack made it - what is your problem boy?! I benched the cheeseburger plate this week and went with the fried ham plate. This is not necessarily a permanent change, mind you, I just want to mix things up and see what happens. I was just following Jay's lead - he is a veteran after all.
  4. I see this in reverse. If I was JP, I would do everything I could to be hitting targets like Moulds and the tight ends. I would probably go out for beers and wings with the younger guys, but I would do everything to make Moulds my number one target on game day. When Jim Kelly came to town. the TE was his #1 dump off man when the WRs were covered and the OL collapsed.
  5. Great post! I always liked the Bills as a kid and shook Tom Day's hand when I was eleven years old. What made me realize how hooked I was happened at a game in the Rockpile. The expansion team Cincinatti Bengals, led by Greg Cooke came to town during a classic Buffalo Blizzard. I sat in the covered end zone, and the stadium lights were on. There were times that the scoreboard disappeared in the blinding snow. At halftime there was several inches of snow on top of the blanket on the lap of me, my Dad, and my brother. Remember this was in the covered end zone. I sat there sipping hot chocolate thinking how COOL this was! Oh yeah, the Bills won.
  6. I am there! One thing I hate about multiple forums for Bills and OTs is trying to keep up. This is the first I have seen of plans.
  7. I cropped your excellent post, only but for brevity. I am not going to try and analyze anything here. I am speaking only as a Bills fan. What the team has accomplised in the first quarter of the season is absolutely unacceptable, possibly from the owner to the water boy. I am glad to see SOME attempt at changing things. The only thing I know for sure is that there are only 16 games in the season, and the pattern for the first four games HAS NOT WORKED. I am as frustrated as YOU all are! Give it a week before you throw in the towel.
  8. The Bills make it hard to be a fan sometimes!
  9. Not this week.
  10. Don't worry. Today is the last day of summer. The temps could drop 40 degrees in the next 18-36 hours. A frost or two and the hills will resemble a bowl of Trix!
  11. Night of the Living Thread
  12. They were good days but the times were different. I would not strap on a backpack and take off down the highway today. I have four kids, three are adults (one is almost there) and they all turned pretty out good.
  13. Wayne: I can't talk about it anymore, it's giving me a headache. Garth: Here, take two of these. Waynel: Ahh, Nuprin. Little, yellow, different.
  14. Lessee, it was The Band, Allman Brothers and Grateful Dead, right? Nope, didn't go. Turns out that was a good thing since my ride totalled her car on the ride back to Jersey. Yes, I believe we did talk about this a while ago. There is a CD out of The Band at Watkins Glen. Bigger than Woodstock, but less press.
  15. I have never seen LOST.
  16. You must be high....ELEVATION that is (ADK).
  17. Along with Bills Cosby and Flip Wilson, he did a lot to break the "color" barrier in the sixties just by being himself. I would add Redd Fox to that list but in the 60's he was best known for his bawdy routines that did not make the main stream.
  18. I want them to pee in a cup and be tested.
  19. I think there is a fall foliage festival in Cohocton, too. Last week I was in Naples picking up some grape pies at Monicas, and one of the locals mentioned this. It's a crazy year, the hills of Naples are MAYBE five percent turned, usually they are at full peak colors by now.
  20. The Band was on this train, too.
  21. C'mere so I can hit you with my cane.
  22. Teague has stunk it up all year with his "Ole!" matador blocking. At some point a change has to be made. The idea of Peters and Anderson on the blind side is a bit scary though. Anderson has been OK but needs to do better. Did Mike Williams play Sunday, I know he was questionable. What about RB blocking? I have not been impressed with Shelton in run blocking and he whiffs in picking up the blitz. BIG disappointmant at the FB position. Is Joe Burns that much worse? I only listened a bit on the radio this week so I missed the right week, from the sounds of it.
