  1. There were two receivers at or past the 1st down marker when Holcomb passed to Moulds. They were somewhat covered, but a jump ball is better than a dirt ball. As you say, that play had practically no chance in double coverage.
  2. I am not prepared to wait 4 years to get back to the show. I know what you are saying, and appreciate some optimism, but it will be a few days before I care. I really hope they put JP in there NOW and find out if he is the future or if he is Todd Collins all over again. The future is not Holcomb.
  3. I feel like it is 1986 all over again. Almost only counts in horse shoes. I do not think I want to play here today.
  4. I had to replay it a couple times to make sure I was not dreaming. There were TWO other receivers that were at least options, but I could not catch the numbers - and both were at or PAST the 1st down marker.
  5. You forgot Magic Bus.
  6. Gee, I have not seen one "you're not a true fan" reply yet. I can identify with how you feel (fan for 41 years). A few days ago, someone asked me what I thought about tonight's game. I replied that I thought the Bills would get their ass kicked. The person was surprised and said they thought I was a FAN! I am, but I am also a realist or maybe a surrealist. Tonight at 8:30 I will be in front of the tube hoping to see a good game and better - a win for the Bills. As far as rubbing it on my face, I have heard so much crap over the years it is water off a duck's back. The loss is pain enough. I think the club has about hit the turning point. Pretty soon there is no where to go but up.
  7. When I was a kid we used to sneak in to the drive-in. Years later I used to party with the guy who runs it now. Silver Lake Drive in Every year there was a Sea Serpent parade and even a beauty contest and a crowned Sea Serpent Queen. Silver Lake Sea Serpent This is one of the few lakes that has both the inlet and outlet streams on the same end. The lake was largely fed by undeground springs.
  8. I was helping a friend move. Believe me, I will take a plate over loading a truck with furniture and boxes ANYDAY!! I'll take the Bills +10
  9. Drove through Perry today - depressing.
  10. People actually jump off that bridge!
  11. There is a walkway on the side at least 5 feet wide and a sturdy railing.
  12. Good point. I am probably living in the past.
  13. Perry beats Warsaw anyday. At least in Perry the sheep are safe. Castile is still semi-dry right (stores can sell beer but no bars or liquor stores allowed)? I remember Pike and Castile were the dry towns. I lived on the white trash side of Silver Lake, next to Camp Asbury and the Drive In.
  14. Got some of the best bars and wenches in Wyoming County. Just don't piss off the locals or you'll be butt up in the Oatka Creek!
  15. I used to spend summers at Silver Lake. It was about a 4 mile ride by bike to the Perry entrance. I worked there one summer and have backpacked a lot of it. At one time we had a permanent camp set up there, off the beaten path. As a kid, my summers were adventurous, like the movie Stand By Me, without looking for dead bodies. Stony Brook is nice too. A smaller version of Letchworth. I liked it better when they had two swimming areas. I will be out to the country this weekend. Tomorrow I will be in Dale; Sunday I will be in Perry for a bit and then a stop in Springwater.
  16. KINDA SCENIC?! Garbage Plates kinda taste good too.
  17. She probably meant Portageville, Castile, Perry and Mt. Morris.
  18. Roughly 50 miles, probably a 75 minute drive (it's not all x-way). Actually, if you take 19 to 19A, this will take you directly to Portageville, at the farthest southern end of Letchworth. The park is about 20 miles long. This is where you will see the railroad bridge (park and walk out on it, it is very cool), the Upper and Middle Falls, what was once a GREAT pioneer and Indian museum that is still"OK", The Glen Iris Inn, lots of overlooks. Leaving there by car, on the way north at the top of the hill is a pioneer cemetary that is terrific to stroll through. Mary Jemison's cabin and a statue briefly telling her story is in this area too. Back in the car, be sure to stop at Inspiration Point. You can see Middle and Upper Falls, and the bridge from there - very cool. Heading North again go to the Lower Falls. There are steps that will take you down to the river, including a stone bridge that spans a narrow point of the gorge. Bring a picnic lunch if it is nice: wine, beer, cheese, fresh bread, etc. The overlooks at Great Bend (highest point in the park) and near the Castile entrance are good ones. Wolf Creek is a nice lunch spot or the lawn by Tea Table Rock if it is sunny. Now you have a longer drive to the North End of the park to see Mt. Morris Dam. At this point if you just want to get the expressway home, take 390 north from Mt Morris to the Thruway. PM me if you want more info.
  19. That would explain why I sit on my sofa waiting for the hot pockets to cook, instead of chasing deer. You know that actually... ding! ...gotta go.
  20. Sorry but the season is too short for me to have off season conversations in October.
  21. Oh, Puh-Leeze! That would make sense!
  22. I really want to know.
  23. I am out (of town) Friday. Sorry, the fooking Bills will have to do it without me.
  24. It is fooking excellent!
