Are you in favor of changing PAT rule?
BillsBytheBay replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I knew someone would say that.... I guess I'm thinking for the entertainment/ competitiveness of it. I've always liked how the math of 1,2,3 or 6 points effects a game, if that makes any sense. It makes a safety worth less, a field goal worth less, and the extra point solid freaken gold. (note worth less, not worthless) I'm for change. Just make sue its for the better. Also: can you see a game ending with the kneeling of an extra point. Or games where one team is so far ahead the kneeling off could start early. Especially if its a team locked into the playoffs already. Why risk injury and giving up a point? -
the word in EJ coming out was he needs time to develop. I thought we drafted him to high for a raw player who needed to sit for a few years. The flashes are there...But.... You can't run the two minute drill a whole game. Sometimes the pace must be controlled. Sometimes teams aren't going to let us drive the field like that(Huston). He could turn into a really good player. I want him to. He works at it, so he should. But he shouldn't have been on our roster for a round one pick.

Remember Fred take it up the gut for two points late in the Detroit game. That was way to exciting football. I didn't vote because I really don't know. I'd like to see teams need that extra point more often late in games. That game was better than an action, thriller, horror movie. teams that don't get in the end zone like we often couldn't, would end up suffering blow outs. Could you imagine only scoring 3 for a field goal and 8 for a TD/w convertion. -
I don't think he's a bust yet, but he was exactly as advertised. He shouldn't have seen the field till this year. no I would not cut EJ. This is a wild assumption about my view. I don't appreciate you lumping anyone's opposing view into a "haters" category. That's what my point really is.
-
I've been outspoken about my desire to replace EJ. I'm in the "haters" camp..... But the thing is, I love everything about EJ. Just don't think he's a gamer. Very few of us "haters" hate EJ. Most of us wish the production matched EVERYTHING else about the kid.

What's the deal with Ross Cockrell
BillsBytheBay replied to ny33's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Rex described our secondary as second to only Seattle. That's why Ross is so quiet. The same reason Doug has attempted to temper our draft expectations. Between Gilmore, McKelvin and Graham we are very talented at corner. I'm sure Ross is fine. We're so used to having a bad football team we forgot the draft wasn't supposed to produce starters. -
Changing the rule kinda shows how the NFL felt about the play. But God forbid they openly say that was a crap play. I know it was "legal" but that was not in the spirit of the game. this drival is why rules and laws are so convoluted to the point that no one under stands them. People like you don't care about the intent, just the loop hole that gets you what you want. Don't get me wrong, during the game you can't flag it. Doesn't change the fact that the Pats* still will do anything THEY don't think is cheating.

Freds rushing stats last year
BillsBytheBay replied to Buffaloed in Pa's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Can't remember exactly when he said it, but before the season last year Fred talked about putting on weight to serve in a more power role. That highlight video from last year looked like Freddie was running with power and balance. He and McCoy should spell each other nicely. Am I the only one who looks at Roman's track record and isn't that worried anymore? -
coach made the no effort comment. Yolo just stated their haven't been results. The last of line guys we've brought in over the last few years has been just ok, but.... We drafted C.Glenn, brought in three LG's in 3 years, drafted wood, ...... Soo many guys. The revolving door of our oline isn't just on the way to the QB, its employment. Damn. Lots of effort.......let's get some results

players are bigger stronger and faster. The back didn't have to get smaller players, players had to re evaluate their physical shape. I remember Ray Lewis talking about going leaner to run better, after years of building power primarily. Players change the game, the game doesn't change the players.

when scouts talk about "a real love or passion for the game," that's my assumed point. -

Concussion's are weird. My little bro got a concussion in a very gentle head bump. I've fractured my skull twice, and bounced my head off of concrete, fists, falling and so forth. I've never had one. It really seems like some people are more likely to get them. Imo -
30 pounds over weight. Not making any attempt to come back.

Jerry Hughes signs 5-year deal with Bills

I feel it was disrespectful to ask Hughes about a "hometown discount." Just the same, I think we got one. -
Cutler still might be available

I don't see how one can be behind Cassel and not Cutler.... I actually think ej starts game one. -
