  1. Don't we all want the QB of the Bills to improve? We all know Manuel isn't Luck, but if he continues to improve he'll be just fine for this team.
  2. Of course he is. He's 37 years old.
  3. Yep. Grabbed the wrist and pulled it down. No ball contact.
  4. Grimes made a play on Watkins' arm and pulled it down. He never touched the ball.
  5. Sorry vegas. I see that my posts came across as contrarian, wasn't my intent. Was only saying that the points came in the context of what their offensive philosophy is. As for losing "so many" games when winning the turnover battle, I'd have to see proof that was actually true before I can comment.
  6. The gains are irrelevant, though, no? 3 passes on 9 plays is hardly "coming out throwing". The drive went like this: pass, run, run, pass, run, run, pass, run, run. That seems pretty consistent with their overall offensive philosophy and entirely in line with what they want to do all game long. In no way, shape, or form is it coming out throwing.
  7. @ vegas55 The Bills most certainly did not come out throwing after getting down 7-0. On the ensuing drive, they ran 9 plays. 6 were runs, 3 were passes. @ Mooshocker 41.8% of Manuel's attempts were 10 yards or more - good for 8th or 9th best in the league. Where are you getting this check down idea from?
  8. Reverend!
  9. It wasn't the Bills' call, but if it had been, they made the correct choice. It's a simple matter of value.
  10. Wait, he wasn't voted a captain. He's not capable of leadership and his teammates must have tuned him out. Right?
  11. If EJ can be Dalton, we go to the playoffs. FWIW, I think that's his floor.
  12. Heard on NFL radio today that USA Today is reporting that the Bills have opened extention talks with Spiller. No link, sorry, was driving. Can anyone confirm?
  13. Location: My house here in Wenham, MA. Menu: Homemade beef on weck, chicken wings (buffalo style), chicken wings (smoked) jalapeño poppers, assorted snackables, cooler full of Labatt's. Washers and bean bag toss, and a fire in the pit for good measure!
  14. Agreed. Watching the game last night I could not help but think you are correct here. Let's hope Hackett has similar plays up his sleeve for Watkins!
  15. Wait, we have a coach that has high expectations? Fire him!
  16. Crazy mindset. I want my HC to say as little about the team as much as possible. How could any fan want anything different?
  17. So far so good with Mike Williams. If he stays clean, he is the perfect fit for this club.
  18. If Spiller can be had for 4/24 or less, it's a no brainer. More than that and it gets dicey.
  19. Good job WEO, why don't you watch reefer madness next and warn us all about the destructive and violence inducing dangers of marijuana? Do you believe everything you read on the interwebs?
  20. Sorry you miss Byrd red, but don't you see that paying top dollar for past performance is a poor business model?
  21. Bully for them. It was the correct play. Byrd's past is irrelevant relative to a future contract. Any team that signs a player to a long term deal is paying for expected future results, not past performance. These guys are commodities, not family members.
  22. Wait, weren't we told by WEO that the Bills FO was completely incapable of creating draft related smokescreens and that anyone who believed that they could was delusional? This can't possibly be true.
  23. When Watkins was drafted I texted a buddy and said "well, Stevie's gone." Its too bad, the guy loved Buffalo and loved playing for the Bills. Hope he does well in SF.
