Anyone see the tweet that Buffalo has the 8th best roster in football? Gimme a sec to dig it up.
@nicklelcitybills (puriton) tweeted at 1:12 pm today based on @tyleroberly's PER model (whatever that is) that Buff has the 8th best roster in football.
No idea how PER is calculated or what it is but if there is any substance there then Buddy deserves the credit, no?
Part of analytics is paying the value price for positions or better yet stats. Scott Hatteberg is the poster boy for this. If the Bills can replace Byrd's numbers for a fraction of the price, they should do it. If not, they should pay up. Analytics (if employed in a Beanian fashion) will dictate the move. Trust the math.
11th all time in catches, 12th all time in rec TDs, and 13th all time in rec yards. That's a Hall of Famer.
edit - crap, just looked at Brown and Harrison and they are both better all time than Dre in all 3 categories. Hopefully Dre's seniority carries the day.
Right, and Rob Johnson's stats projected to...doesn't a player have to actually do something to make the team at some point?
If, as has been posited, Rodgers made the team over Hogan, would he have seen the field here more than Hogan did?
Kirby, in your opinion, do you think keeping Rodgers would have propelled the Bills to a better record in 2013 than 6-10?
If so, how? What impact do see him having over the course of the year and how would he have improved the 6-10 mark you cite?
