I don't see it. To me if you did add Waller, you'd have to trade Knox and sign Waller to an extension.
The only way you'd even come close to entertaining this, is if you project out Knox's potential contract and you're unwilling to pay it.
I don't see it as Hughes vs Epenesa. I see it as Hughes vs Rousseau. I'm not sure Jerry would be comfortable being a back up and getting around 20% of the snaps. I would want Greg to be the beneficiary of Miller, not Hughes. I'm spelling them with AJ and Shaq.
Out of respect to Hughes, I couldn't ask him to do that.
I voted Klein. We're an injury away from being in trouble there. Klein is versatile enough to play both spots.
For me Beasley's role is covered with McKenzie, Crowder and in other sets Howard and Duke Johnson.
Hughes isn't needed IMO either. It's time for Rousseau to get serious PT with Von added, along with Shaq and Epenesa.
I don't know about tuning in because of them, when you otherwise wouldn't have - but IMO, since Madden, Gruden, Romo and the Manning's have had an effect.
Maybe you should talk with some people on how Italians were treated in this country when they first started coming over.
I'm not comparing but I do think you're ignorant of the ability of whites to conceptualize. White people are among the people hardest working on racism.
Some stuff in this analysis I really don't like/see as a fit for what we need.
Weaknesses
Handled heavier workload with 800 touches over three years.
Runs like he's pacing himself.
Not very shifty to elude early traffic in the backfield.
Slight hesitation in his initial read at times.
Jukes himself out of balance.
Average quickness and burst to outpace linebackers laterally.
Will need to play faster and more decisively against NFL speed.
I don't think we'll draft a RB in the 1st but I wouldn't hate it. We're not a good run blocking team so I felt we needed a back that could create when not much is there or a pounding back like Fournette or Gordon. Neither of which Singletary provides and neither of which appears we'll get in free agency.
Maybe the thought is Kromer can have a major effect along with Saffold.
I get that RB's don't win super bowls but to get there we have to run better than we do and I want Allen running less.
Ralph was a "cash to the cap" owner. Restructuring allows for the base salary to be lowered and the player gets money up front that's amortized over the remaining length of the contract. Pegula's are willing to allow that, Ralph wouldn't.
The conversation is in the present though. Right now signing Miller has strengthened the CB's. When they sign one and/or draft one is a separate conversation for that time. Then the results of those decisions is another one.
