  1. If Chandler does not recover from the Knee Injury, Keller would definitely be a better option.
  2. The moment Fitz was given a $62M contract, he is a starting QB. Why wouldn't he be criticized for his poor play (7-20 since signing the contract) just like Losman or Edwards were. He is one of the players responsible for the 7-20 record, so it is fair to criticize his play.
  3. Why ? Because they were offered more money in FA?
  4. I hope Keller will now visit the Bills that the Dolphins haven't offered him a contract.
  5. When the line you are anchoring is 32 and 31 against the run for the past two seasons, he definitely deserves some criticism.
  6. Don Banks writes about the Backup QB Market and it is a shame that he fails to write even a single line about Fitz.. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/nfl/news/20130314/nfl-backup-quarterback-market-cassel-kolb/?sct=uk_t11_a5 Also, I don't understand why these pundits have Kolb going to the Jets...The Jets are already on the hook for close to 10M at the QB position for Sanchez. I don't understand how they can add another 3-4M to that position to get Kolb and compete. Kolb to the Bills would actually make more sense (as a primary backup).
  7. Why? Did Brady offer to have you for dinner with his family ?
  8. Thanks for the update. It would then be weird if the Cards sign Fitz to be their backup for a 3M a year salary and the Bills did the same with Kevin Kolb...Both guys were making around 7-8M a year with their two teams, refused to restructure their deals, got released and then signed with their opponents for the exact price their former employer demanded !!!!!!!
  9. Are the Bills in line for any compensatory picks at this years Draft in about 5 weeks ?
  10. How could some one expect any results if they have been graded with a poor E!.
  11. You assume Jones is going to fall to the middle of the 1st round. I doubt that will happen. And what is the one player someone will covet at #8 to give their 1st and 2nd for ? May be the Bills need to stop putting more former players on the Wall. That wall is just getting too strong year after year!!! making it difficult for the players to get over it
  12. You mean the Lingerie Bowl?
  13. May be this coaching staff has a more positive outlook on Marcus Easley than the previous regime.
  14. The Baby boomers were a hard working, earn-your-money-the-hard-way folks...On the other hands the folks from today's generation are.....take everything for granted!!! +1
  15. Right down on I-95. JAX Sure why not...With the 20M from the Bills for a 7-20 record, he can buy an entire island off the Florida coast.
  16. Cut Him !!!! I heard Troupe was bench pressing 700, 30 times!!!!
  17. We already know where Nelson, Fitz and Barnett can take us and that is to a 6-10 record. Why bother paying them when you cannot get the necessary returns or a hope for improvement. I would rather sign up street FAs who have more hunger and more disciplined to play for the Buffalo Bills.
  18. That just showed how bad was Jauron's offense. However, Gailey is still light years behind many of the creative offensive coordinators in today's NFL. Once teams figured out Fitz lame throws in the flat, Gailey's offense stunk. They could not covert 3rd and shorts consistently to be able to move the chain. Gailey's stats are padded a little by what Spiller did in a 1/2 workload.
  19. Looking like Jaguars are the team most interested in him to come in and compete with Henne and Gabbert. http://blackandteal.com/2013/03/12/ryan-fitzpatrick-released-potential-qb-competition-for-jags/
  20. The fact that Cassell who is equally bad or worser than Fitz was immediately snapped up by the Vikings to challenge Ponder and/or be the primary backup. Fitz was available in the market for more than 24 hours before Matt was released. The other teams are soon going to validate the fact that the Bills did *NOT* have a starting QB in Fitz.
  21. You have to draft QBs to find the good ones. We needed someone to play behind Bledsoe for a few years to take over, similar to what Rodgers did behind Favre. The bigger fundamental problem was the lack of continuity in the coaching staff to bring Losman up. We did the same thing as Chan did with Fitz. They put the game in Losman's hands instead of making him the role player initially. The mistake the Bills did was to let go Bledsoe after the Pittsburgh finale fiasco and then annoiting Losman. He just was not ready having missed his entire rookie year. Also, there is nothing for sure to know that Rodgers would have been available for us to draft in 2005. In hindsight we know Rodgers is a good QB....But in 2005 about 25 teams passed on him before the Packers picked him up. Let us not rewrite history. I see the Bills staying put and picking the BPA available @ #8 if Smith or Barkley are gone. If Smith/Barkley are gone, then it gives us a pretty good shot to pick Manuel, Nassib or Wilson at the top of the 2nd round and the Bills will pick the one they like the most. The Bills would have to hold on to next years 1st rounder in case the QB position is not settled this year. To be fair to Donahoe, he tried hard to get in front of Pittsburgh to draft Ben. However, Jacksonville turned down the offer, because they were worried the player they were targeting Reggie Williams WR would not be available at the Bills pick as the Jets were in front of them. The Bills tried, but failed to make a deal as there were quite a few blue chip players that teams coveted and were unwilling to trade down. The mistake made by Donahoe was firing Bledsoe at the end of next season when he couldn't beat the Steelers with the playoffs on the line.
  22. In Pittsburgh that works because the Backups are constantly pushing the starters and also have viable replacements if the starter departs. (This may not be how they are today, but in general they have operated that way the last decade). That allows them to delay paying the starters. I don't think the Bills have built sufficient depth for our backups to compete with our starters. Heck our former coach wouldn't even allow the backups to *COMPETE* with the starters. We never developed our depth players into starters.
  23. Or it could be that Marronne had a say on it and would prefer to use that money to shore up his LB corps rather than spend it on a guard. It is ok to have a plan to retain many of your best players, but don't have to do it on all. Levitre was a good player and sure would like to have him in Bills Red/Blue/White. But this is business. Also, Levitre might think that the Titans give him a better chance to make the playoffs than the Bills.
  24. Real funny! thanks for sharing.
  25. Wood coming out of Louisville was going to be the definitely-can't miss center prospect. In spite of his gruesome injuries, he has played very well.
